The vegan queso is SO good I could drink it! They even called me to narrow down an exact pickup window so the food could be as fresh as possible. I came to order take out for my friends here about two weeks ago. I had everyone's order on my phone and walked in to no one greeting me. I saw only one server, he was waiting about 3-4 tables and seemed to be responsible for the to go orders, as well. He did not welcome me or my friend with me, so we took a seat until he was able to help us. After sitting for about 5 or so minutes, he hastily set two glasses of water down in front of us without making eye contact or saying anything to us. I said hello and asked if we could put a to go order in. He very obviously rolled his eyes at this request, and quickly removed the waters from the table and walked to the ordering POS. He did not say literally any words. Just gestured for us to stand and meet him at the kiosk. We get up and follow him, and I begin by asking for a chicken quesadilla. I did not realize this was something not on the menu, but it doesn't seem like a hard thing to make at a Mexican restaurant ??? He replies rudely, "That isn't even something we have on our menu. Do you even know what you want to order?" I was not understanding why he was acting with disrespect, as neither my friend nor I had treated him with any behavior similar to his. He quickly says "I am going to give you guys 10 minutes to figure your order out and get it together." He leaves. We sit down, and I texted my friend what she wanted instead of a chicken quesadilla. He returns a bit later and we try again. She asked for a bean and rice burrito, so that's what I ask for. He slams his hands on the counter, and huffs and puffs about this order, too. He goes "WE DON'T HAVE THAT EITHER!" At this point, I am really upset with how I have been treated. There was not one point where he was patient, kind, or respectful in any category. This is 100% not how you treat patrons. I ask, "Is us being here too much for you? Is our order too difficult? We can leave, if that is the case." He says it is. We leave. I have worked in food since I was 15 years old. I understand the stress and urgency that comes with a restaurant. At no point have I ever made someone feel badly for ordering. That is what your job requires. If taking an order for a bean and rice burrito is so overwhelming, I would heavily consider a different career path. Outstanding food! Everything we ordered was so flavorful. We started with the chips and salsa. The salsa is made in-house. Everything in it is charred---garlic, tomatoes, peppers. It was just thick enough and delicious! The chips were crispy, light and very lightly salted. The guacamole is outstanding! Best I've ever had!! We decided to share a carne asada quesadilla. Glad we shared because it was big! Lots of cheese...lots of meat. We wrapped it up with churros. They have caramel goo in the middle and are served warm. I didn't like goo and squeezed it out. My husband loved it. He also loved his tequila old fashioned. Something different. Something good. The decor is cool...lots of art, really funky. All the other diners were friendly so it was comfortable for two tourists who stumbled in based on a Yelp review. Isaiah welcomed us and told us the story of the place. He provided quick service and was attentive without being overbearing. We will definitely return on our next trip. Be aware that it's a tiny little place and the entrance is in the back. I came to Dilla Libre Dos with some friends. It's a pretty casual spot. Service was a bit slow but they seemed understaffed at the time. I can excuse that though because WOW it's maybe some of the best Mexican food I've ever had. I ordered the chickpea chorizo burrito. It was so well flavored. It had rice and beans as well as the chickpea chorizo, alongside some veggies. I really appreciated that they had an extensive vegan menu. I will definitely be back to try other items!! This spot was recommended by our Uber driver so we decided to give it a try. We were a little confused on where the entrance was initially but we found our way in. The restaurant is small and well-decorated and service was friendly and fairly quick. We visited on a Thursday which happens to feature happy hour all day! Heard good things about Dilla Libre and finally stopped in for some food! I got the steak tacos and they were delicious. The salsa was also yummy. I skipped on the side of beans and rice as it's black beans (I love refried beans but that's a personal preference) There was only one server working on a Saturday (Valentine's Day), but he was very friendly, helpful, and did a great job keeping things running smoothly. Parking is very limited with a small lot, so that's something to keep in mind. Overall, a good experience with solid food! Definitely will be back to explore some more items on the menu. read more

Handicap parking right in the front. Service. I was greeted by Austin as soon as I stepped in. He was friendly and a great waiter. There was another gentleman that was a waiter also and was super friendly. I think this is the best customer service ive had in years. Food. Wow it was fresh hot and delicious. I also ordered the happy hour nachos but ate them before I got to take the pic. The carnitas dilla was absolutely perfect. I asked for extra crispy and it was great. The chips were fresh. Went for dinner and had a great experience. The place was packed for Taco Tues but there was only one server, Nicole. She was running around like crazy taking orders, dropping off food, cashing people out etc and somehow managed to stay poised and keep her cool even when customers were getting impatient and testy! Right off the top the service was 10/10 I forgot my servers name but I can honestly say that he was the best ever! I stopped by during happy hour and ordered a couple of house margaritas from the happy hour menu. The margarita is normally $11 but for happy hour $9 is still a bit pricey for me. The first basket of chips and salsa are free or get bottomless for $4 I ordered The California quesadilla and I'm glad I did. Excellent first experience here. It's a small place that I've passed by hundreds of times over the years and finally decided to give it a try. Clean, comfortable, delicious well-presented food, and quick friendly service. Unpretentious, but not divey and (Thank God) no loud music. I loved the easy-going simplicity of this place. I really enjoyed this fusion of Mexican and Thai food! Thai is my favorite food to get out, so it was fun to try! You get chips and salsa at the table, which I love when places do that. The salsa was good! I got the Dank Herb Shrimp Dilla as a burrito, and I would highly recommend it. The sweet Thai chili sauce with the beans and rice in the burrito was perfect. I also got the horchata, which was the best horchata I've had (I haven't had much, but still). The service was good and the vibe was fun! Came to Dilla Libre for lunch during our trip to Phoenix AZ. The restaurant opened at 11am and we were one of the first customers there. The place was nice and clean with both indoor and outdoor seating. The weather was nice so we decided to sit outside. They have a variety of different tacos, and we ordered the chipotle chicken, shrimp and banh mi, my favorite was the shrimp taco. Dilla Libre is an excellent option for Mexican food in Scottsdale. It's located in a standalone building and has both indoor and outdoor seating. The wall art and decor is tasteful, and certainly adds to the ambiance. I love their daily specials, and our visit happened to coincide with both Taco Tuesday and happy hour specials. They have a full page of vegan food options that the kitchen is happy to modify to vegetarian options. The complimentary chips and salsa (4/5) were appreciated as a decent beginning to the meal. We started off with chicken nachos (5/5) which were among the most flavorful nachos we've had in a while. For meals, we got a variety of tacos and a chipotle chicken quesadilla. The tacos (4.5/5) were all very fresh and flavorful. The chipotle chicken quesadilla (4.5/5) was among the most unique I've ever had, with caramelized cheese on the outer edges. The only minor thing I would have liked is a spicy chicken option over a chipotle sauce to add spice/flavor, as there was a tad too much chipotle sauce for my tastes. The side queso dip (4/5) was a bit muted on the spices, but otherwise good for dipping chips and adding on top of other food items. Service was a one-man show, but very attentive and friendly throughout the meal. Overall, Dilla Libre was a highly satisfying late lunch option at reasonable prices, so I'd be happy to return and recommend a visit to others seeking Mexican food in a place with nice decor. read more

Overall a solid 4.5 in my books! Visiting from elsewhere and surprisingly dilla libre is conveniently near where I was staying so I had to give it a try! Only one server managing the entire front of house but was very friendly and efficient! I ordered delivery again and tried the Papas Verde vegan burrito. It was decent, much better than the quesadilla I previously had delivered. The burrito travels much better and stayed fresh, especially since they thoughtfully put my sauce on the side without me even asking. I'm guessing they did that because it was a delivery order, and it definitely helped me save half for the next day. I am still planning another in-person trip to try the dillas, fresh, in-house. The interior of the spot is really cool, but I've only ever actually eaten through delivery. The real highlight for me? The battered cauliflower bites. Those things "slap"... yes, I'm saying it because it's true, I just hope I'm using that term right? I also got a side of rice and beans, as good to me as the last time and I'm always impressed by the reasonable portion of chips that come with. I've hit up Dilla Libre once before for their quesadillas and loved them so we shot over here to check out their tacos. The place has such a cool and chill vibe! Due to the occasion, it wasn't very busy (which we were hoping for a quick stop). The patio outside is super chill and the inside has lots of flare. The service was excellent and the staff were really friendly and conversational. I went with a Chipotle Chicken Taco, Carne Asada Taco and Papa Verde Taco!! I've been meaning to check this out for so long! Finally made it to Dilla Libre and I'll definitely be back. We stopped in for a late lunch on a Sunday and it also happened to be happy hour! It's 2-5:30 every day, and they also have special deals on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays. Austin helped us out and was so friendly and helpful! He got us started with chips and salsa right away. I really like their house salsa. We got the house margaritas, bahn mi tacos, and a chipotle chicken quesadilla. The bahn mi tacos were so good and different. I love that the taco tortillas are thin but don't break apart. I'm not a huge fan of chipotle but the chipotle chicken quesadilla was great comfort food. Wanted to try some tacos, ran into this place. The tacos were quite pricey, almost $6 each. They weren't as good as I was hoping they'd be for the cost. I downed them all though. I ordered the nachos supreme but with tater tots. The tater tots was an appetizer but came out the same time as the tacos. There was so much going on, on this plate, it was a bit rough to deal with. I ate the crispy tots and that's about it. The plate got soggy relatively fast, because I didn't want to eat cold tacos, so I ate the tacos first. We made our first visit to Dilla Libre and left feeling sad that we don't live closer to this spot. The service was great but my god, the food & drinks were just . As soon as we sat down, we were provided with waters and chips and salsa which were so delicious and fresh tasting. We ordered the tator tot carne asada "fries", the bahn mi tacos, the California quesadilla, elote and the vegan carne asada fries. Drinks ordered were the Jamaica (NA), The dragons blood margarita, Paloma margarita, RumChata horchata, and Frida caddy marg. After sharing our meals we ended dinner with a taste of the regular caramel churro and the vegan ones with chocolate sauce. I will say although everything was delicious, I absolutely loved the California quesadilla, the crispy carne asada tator totchos and the caramel churro! The drinks were all delicious and very strong but flavorful. Definitely hope this spot sticks around cause places like these are few and far between! Dilla Libre Dose quickly became a favorite of my partners and mine and I deeply regret not trying them sooner!! I love the location, the patio has a water fountain with tree's, vining and potted plants lending a nice ambiance to evenings. Isaah is the best, such a kind and articulate person. My favorite is their Papa Verde Quesadilla. I love how they crisp the cheese at the edge of the dilla. My partner normally gets the Napoleon Dynamite but has ordered the Chupacabra from time to time when he's looking for something a bit spicier and their margaritas never miss.
