When you walk in, you immediately smell something really good and clean almost like orange essence. The kiosk ordering area is pretty user-friendly and the food itself is really delicious. The only bad thing is the restaurant felt very humid inside and the sun was hitting it directly so it felt really warm inside of it but otherwise this place is really nice to come early in the day or late evening.

I want to like this place so bad but they are an egregious example of a "restaurant". As if chipotle wasn't already beyond expensive, a BURRITO here will cost you a smooth FORTY DOLLARS (40). You want extra meat? It costs extra and they STILL DONT GIVE IT TO YOU. If you borrow against your 401k you can afford to run a simple test, order 1 burrito with double meat and the other regular... guess what?! They're exactly the same. No one can measure or count in here because they're all flaming liberals who are too worried about Trumps tweets and ICE protests instead of making your food. Maybe they don't give you enough steak because they know you'll get sick? Check out this NICE HEALTH CODE VIOLATIONS! Tocaya=TakeaDump

I've been going here since they opened. Such flavorful, fresh food! They've recently simplified their menu, but they still offer many of the vegan items. My favorites are the 3 vegan tacos. They are a must try whether or not you're vegan. I find the house margarita pretty weak, but the jalapeño marg has a nice bite to it. Nice atmosphere and fast service.

Dropped by on a Sunday evening. It was largely empty, the a/c wasn't working inside so we sat on the patio. We had the house quesadilla, a birria taco, a mahi mahi taco and the churro/waffle bites. All were good! The setting both is casual and comfortable. They do need to fix the cushions on the patio bench seating a it's torn up and jagged. Service was fine especially for late at night tho they forgot one of our items and we had to go remind them.

We went here twice during our stay in AZ. Our experience both times was excellent. You walk in and order at the counter if you are a first time there human or can sit down with a paper menu if you've been in before, according to the sign. We just used the counter twice as I spotted the same guy I'd talked allergens with the prior time working the counter and wanted to make life easier by going to him. He remembered me and all my allergens, corrected one thing he'd looked up after I left (something I hadn't ordered as I suspected it might have soy in a minor way... which it did) and apologized for the first time's oversight on it. If you know your allergens and take a gander at their old allergen menu up online, you can do what I did and kind of know one thing might not be correct. But that's anywhere! So I'm definitely not docking him for it. He went to the kitchen to talk to kitchen staff about it the first time and I ordered the stuff in my safety zone. All was perfectly fine and they even wrote in all my allergens on the receipt. The second time I offroaded a bit and everything was still great and no issues after, so yay! Tacos were grand but the real star was the black beans. I loved them so much I had them both days + took one bowl of them back to the hotel and had them later. Iced tea was okay. The water was oddly incredibly good. I don't usually like water, but I drank multiple cups of it while I was there from their machine and took one away with us both times. Definitely get the water, lol!

We walked in and no one greeted us. They were busy talking to their friends. You pay for meals upfront and server drops off food. We both added a tip when we paid for our meals. Disappointed that we had to approach the servers for everything. Food took forever. Food tasted okay. It was warm inside.

I came here for dinner with a group last month and ordered the salmon bowl--it was delicious! Fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. I'd definitely come back to try more of the menu.

Tocaya is such an amazing and fun place to grab delicious Mexican food. The taste is delicious, the service quick and ambiance fun. Hits all the boxes off for a meal. And the prices aren't expensive either. A MUST TRY!

I stopped in to get churro waffle bites as my birthday gift and they were delicious! They come with a good caramel dipping sauce. The inside is very cute and modern and I like the plant shelves. The service was friendly and fairly quick. Though I didn't get it at this location, I love the guac they have with the pepitas and pomegranate seeds served with plantain chips - it's a nice twist on one of my favorite sides!

Came here on a Saturday night around 6:30. It's a fast casual restaurant where you order & pay at the counter, they give you a number and the food arrives! Belen was the one who took our order and she recommended the Baja taco. Omg - it was so good! Fried Mahi Mahi with Chipotle creama. It was amazing! Order this and you'll be pleased! I was trying to be healthy and ordered the taco salad. It was good but tacos really shine here!

Having not been to Tocaya in several months, and very much missing the Kierland Commons location, we were at the Scottsdale Mall and had to take advantage of them being there. The location is thoughtfully placed outside of the Lifetime Executive Gym and the Designer Wing of the Mall. Beautiful string lights highlight the outside, and somehow even on a hot day, it seemed a little bit cooler of an ambiance. We walk in & notice the menu has changed a little bit (no more Spicy Vegan Cheese was one thing I noticed), and Brandon was happy to walk us through the updates. We ordered and sat awaiting our delicious dinner cooked right in front of us in the open concept kitchen. Our meal was served up quickly, warm, and with good presentation. The plantain chips & guac with pomegranate seeds were amazing! The service was great, and the dining area was clean. This was a great reminder as to why I love to visit Tocaya.

Quite tasty, slightly upscale mexican food, just round the corner of Fashion Square mall. Tacos are decently priced, and they are delicious; I liked especially birria taco although tinga and asada were good, too. There is also cocktails and beer available. The ambient is casual, and service is friendly.

The Papas Verde had an addicting tang from the tomatillo salsa but were brilliantly balanced out by the chorizo and asadero cheese. The shaved brussel salad could have used a little more date and chile to balance out the vinegar but I was pleased either way. The elote was probably the only thing that fell short execution-wise as I didn't get much of the chorizo flavor, but the cook on the corn itself was perfect. The Gambas al Ajillo are absolutely a must-get. Juicy, sweet shrimp with an unexpected kick from the butter sauce and unsurprisingly great bread from Noble. The Tlayuda was a little heavy on the lettuce, but the smoked pork and bean puree combo were so flavorful that it helped balance out the richness with texture and freshness. I also loved the crispy contrast from the fried tortilla. We ended with the Concha and Mango Sticky Rice ice cream which sounded pretty simple but was quite impressive in its own right. The ice cream was a touch too frozen, but it ended up working out well with the crunchy cornflake coating and lightly warmed, pillowy concha to make a really satisfying ending to our meal. Service was excellent and the patio was well-lit and had heaters ready for colder weather. Vecina is on the pricier side for sure, but you will not be disappointed.

Instead, we were publicly embarrassed and treated like criminals for absolutely no reason. After we were seated, I closed the curtain because the table next to us was loud and obnoxious. Minutes later, the manager, Hannah, walked over and decided our entire group was "too intoxicated" to be served. Not a single person in our group was causing a scene, being disrespectful, or acting out of control. We were sitting at our table, ordering dinner. What makes this even more ridiculous is that after taking our drink order, Hannah personally brought out three green tea drinks in champagne glasses. Then, almost immediately afterward, she decided we were somehow too intoxicated to stay. Which is it? If we were supposedly too drunk to be there, why were drinks being served in the first place? We had already ordered what would have been around a $700 meal, and instead of being treated with basic respect, we were stereotyped because we were a bachelorette party. It felt like Hannah had already made up her mind before giving us any chance to prove otherwise. Restaurants absolutely have the right to refuse service to genuinely intoxicated guests. What they should not do is make assumptions based on the type of celebration or the size of a group. This wasn't responsible service--it was poor judgment, inconsistent management, and an incredibly embarrassing way to treat paying customers. We'll happily spend our money somewhere that values its guests instead of profiling them. !!! DO NOT GIVE THIS PLACE YOUR BUSINESS!!! We ended up at ZUZUs, they treated us with respect and dignity. Food was 10/10.

Our bartender, Andrew, had 26 years of bartending experience and gave us a great overview of the standard process for making drinks. He was very friendly, engaging, and thorough. We made the Orange Grove cocktail, which pays homage to the fact that this hotel was built on an orange grove. It actually also used to be a private residence back in the day. For you history buffs, there is a history tour that you can also take through the hotel. We learned that a bit of Angostura bitters mixed with soda is a helpful hangover cure and that their most expensive liquor on property is Louis XIII Cognac, which costs about $4,000 per bottle and $500 for a one-ounce pour. The bottle itself is apparently worth $500 when empty as it's made out of crystal. We ordered a side of fries and wings on happy hour, which is daily from 4-6pm. The fries tasted like Arby's fries but weren't curly. It took a while for them to be made for some reason. The wings were big and soft, and I wasn't a fan of the honey buffalo sauce. The bar itself is a vibe with dim lighting and comfortable seating. It was fairly quiet when we went on a Sunday afternoon, with only a few hotel guests that came. The mixology class was an intimate experience, with only four of us there and a maximum of six people allowed to book each week's class. $50 per person is what we paid since we weren't staying at the hotel, which I thought was very pricey for a mixology class with only one cocktail being made; that's my primary reason for the lower rating plus the food quality. We also ordered during happy hour and were charged full price. After bringing it to their attention, they only discounted the wings but the draft beer and specialty cocktail we ordered should have also been discounted. Just a bit frustrating to have to address that when happy hour prices are clearly listed on the menu.

It's a beautiful restaurant. With speakeasy vibes (although it's not a speakeasy). The bar area is essentially in its own room which is where I sat. If you're dining in, there's a spacious dining area (along with a mini bar). Think deep wood and sophistication. Service (4/5): While they weren't too busy, service was solid. I was greeted promptly and presented with a menu. The bartender checked back in after a reasonable time to take my order. I had to grab his attention to close out. Food (N/A): I had dinner prior so only a cocktail for me on this visit. With that being said, I love French food so I'd definitely love to return to check out the fare. I'm generally a fan of Fox Restaurant Concepts and their flock of restaurants (did you see what I did there?!), so I imagine the food is quite good. Drinks (4/5): Society Swan has an interesting cocktail list, with a good portion of it being martinis. The speakeasy vibes hit here too as you see creativity and sophistication with the cocktails. They're a bit pricey, but overall, my cocktail was good. It's tough for me to say no to drinks with Japanese elements like yuzu. Society Swan is located in the same vicinity as Teleferica Barcelona, Catch, and Din Tai Fung. Quite the corner of restaurants! Looking forward to trying the food next time around.
