Im pregnant and had errands to do all morning and once the hunger hit I had to find something to eat. I didnt want to eat a burger and fries but needed to find something fast and the area had this one fresh mexican restaurant. UPDATE: since I discovered this place, it's a weekly staple. I have yet to try anything that I don't like, but here are my ultimate faves: - Birria Tacos (only served Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and I want to cry if I forget) - Bean Tostada - the thing is huge, piled with all the veggies, and tastes so fresh and delicious - and the stuffed papa, which brought me here to begin with! - the breakfast burrito is also delicious, I get egg, potato, and veggie. I always order ahead on the toast app, so I never have to wait, plus I get credit towards future purchases. I've only been inside once, but it was perfect. First and foremost, the service was STELLAR! We wanted to stop in and pick up lunch on the way to my in laws house, they were closing at 2pm and we didn't know this as it was our first experience at Chispa's. We called our order in and before we even placed the order, we asked if it was okay since it was so close to closing time. They were so accommodating and they were to happy to take our order for pick up. When we got to the restaurant, they had our order ready! They were all so kind and welcoming. The restaurant was small but perfect to match the vibe and also had a cute outdoor seating area for guests. Conveniently, this spot offers a drive thru as well which is always great for on-the-go! The food. My fiancé and I rated our experience 7.5/10. Here is the rundown... My fiancé ordered the two carne asada taco plate, I ordered the carne asada burrito, and our son ordered the cheese quesadilla. The quesadilla was THE BEST, SO DELICIOUS! Although, I feel a different container would have been better for transporting to retain its shape, heat, and sticking together since they're stacked. The carne asada burrito. It comes with beans and rice and your selection of meat plus up to 3 additional toppings (a few for example are onions and cilantro, grilled onions, pickles onions, avocado, chipotle crema, jalapeños, and more). I chose avocado, pickled onions, and 2 sides of chipotle crema. Highly recommend the sauces on the side so you can control the quantity and ensure the sauce is in each bite throughout. It was delicious. The one flaw....The beans. I was not a fan of the beans. Which is unfortunate because the beans come in the burrito and on all the plates etc. I just found the beans with an off flavor, almost too salty. The color was not pleasant looking either. If these beans were changed, our 7.5 ranking would easily move to an 8.5/9. My fiance ordered the tacos. He really enjoyed the tacos, he opted for onions and cilantro for his toppings with sides of hot salsa. They were really good and it was a perfect portion for lunch. Yet again, the beans on the plate lunch option were not the best. Would we back again? Yes, absolutely. However I would order either the beans on the side or just opt out of them completely. Great lunch spot! Can't wait to try other items at Chispas! I encourage you to give them a try! Fairly inexpensive too! For the three of us, it was $40! Not bad at all! Found this little spot while on the hunt for a gas station during a baseball game. I ordered a quesadilla with guac, sour cream and salsa. It was actually great tasting guacamole. My DIL ordered churro bites which were a bit on the dry side but edible. Service was quick as we went through the drive thru. I wouldn't recommend comebacks and give this place another try. read more

I get the Breakfast-Burrito on hangover weekends and appreciate Chispa's being open in the AM. Burrito is good, not the best, but def worth a try. Place is super clean & cute! We had a wonderful experience with great food and fast service at this "hole in the wall." It is a truly a hole in the wall, and it's so convenient that they offer a drive-thru and takeout, which makes it a much better option than a typical fast food drive-thru. The breakfast burritos were absolutely delicious! We tried one with bacon and one with steak, and both were delightful. The steak was wonderfully tender and full of flavor, while the bacon was perfectly cooked. The hot sauce was just the right balance--adding a nice kick without being too spicy. Wow I should have been here sooner! The roasted green chiles are delicious and I love them in my bowl of fish/rice/refried beans. Salsa here is hot and spicy. Horchata is tasty and thicker than other place. Outdoor seating is nice and also dog-friendly. They also have drive thru that is wrapped around their building. read more

I got the carne asada fries -really good flavor -salsa taste amazing -pico is fresh -fries are crunchy and I love that they are not thick -I love the addition of the cucumber in the pico -notes to chef: The cilantro garlic aïoli was too strong on the garlic side. The sauce should be considered for revision. For $13 dollars there needs to be more food to fry ratio. When I was eating this I was left with only fries at the bottom, wanting more toppings. We were in town visiting family for Thanksgiving and decided we were tired of the leftovers in the fridge so I yelped breakfast burritos and we chose this place based on the reviews. It certainly did not disappoint!!! I was planning to only eat half of my burrito and save the rest for the next morning but it was too yummy to stop eating! O M G. This is what you would call that tiny "hole in the wall" place that has the most amazing food! Seating looks like a little diner. We happened across it coming back from a work appointment and not wanting chain food. We dropped in on a whim and so glad we did! You order at the counter where you pick the type of meal (taco, burrito, bowl or quesadilla), then you pick your protein and then your toppings! It may seem easy but you have so much to choose from. The food is fresh and service is fast, but it's a bit overpriced. I got the bean tostada for $7, and it was just like a light snack. The food was FANTASTIC! Everything was made to order and tasted fresh! We ordered: 1. El Pastor burrito @ $11.50 Includes your choice of protein and toppings with some at an extra cost 2. Kids cheese quesadilla @ $6.95 Includes rice, beans and a drink 3. Ceviche with the added extra avocado @ $12.95 4. 3 rolled potato tacos @ $6.95 5. 2 Mexican Cokes Spent around $50 with tip. When I walked into Chispa's, I was a bit surprised by the Christmas tree in the dining room. My visit was on Feb, 18. Hmm, okay. Not a complaint, just an observation. The employee was very friendly and quick to help, so that's always nice, I ordered a burrito. It came with four fillings. There were several options to choose from. I selected the whole beans, pico de gallo, roasted bell peppers and roasted jalapeño with carrots and onions. The bell peppers were great and the crunchy bits of carrot were amazing! The burrito didn't include a protein. I added Carne Asada, though the meat was chewy and not worth the uocharge. Still, I'll be back. I've never had carrot bits in a burrito before, but it made the taste and texture so good, they're worth a re- visit! read more

Update- After a year of consistently trying this place I can genuinely say it never disappoints. The description is in the name - it's fast and fresh. It's not the rich, indulgent, calorie-dense food you'll get from a sit down Mexican restaurant (which I prefer) but the simple flavors and always fresh veggies keep me going back.
