Went late afternoon before a movie and it was quite good. Chips are crispy and salted lightly - the salsa has a nice bite too... Cheese crisp (with tomatoes and poblanos) was amazing - we've had the chicken crisp on a previous visit and it was equally as good.) We came here with a party of 9 for a family dinner while on vacation. Great place with lots of seating, cool bar, and tvs so you can keep up with the games! The menu has a little something for everyone (helloooo margarita tree). I would say that this place isn't authentic Mexican food, however, the flavors are great and I had no complaints. We accidentally arrived about an hour earlier than our reservation, but they were able to accommodate us right away, which was so helpful and kind. So I stopped by here to have a margarita and bowl of soup after work and I just have to say the service was amazing. Sometimes when you dine alone the server acts like you're a burden assuming you're not going to tip well but my server did an amazing job of both making me feel welcomed and at the same time not over checking on me. The salsa was amazing. It could be eaten by itself! My soup was so delicious and hit the spot as it was chilly outside and my throat was sore. As far as margaritas go I was brave and tried the "wicked" featured margarita which was green and not overly sweet like most margaritas. I had a double shot of tequila so that might have helped. I can't remember the name but it had cucumber, jalapeño, mint, and lime Then I had to have a shot of the Casa Noble anejo because I am a huge fan of that particular tequila. Great dinner with friends at Blanco. The place was packed at 6:30pm on a Saturday night. We didn't have a reservation so got on the wait list. The hostesses were all friendly. We thought we could wait and have a cocktail at the bar but it was busy there too, so we decided to walk around. Our table was ready within 20min. Our Server, Sydney was super nice and was attentive throughout our meal. Our party of 4 all got different margaritas and we all enjoyed what we ordered. I had the Short Rib Machaca Enchiladas which were delicious and came with rice and beans. I really liked the Ancho Chile Sauce on it. One friend got The Mixed Grill Fajitas which he said were great- it had Carne Asada, Grilled Chicken, and Spicy Tiger Shrimp. Another friend got one of the bowls and the other a salad which they both said were very good. The upbeat vibe is a little on the louder side, but we could still have normal conversations at our table. Food and service were both bad. Firstly the carne asada tacos were terrible. They didn't even take the cilantro off the stem. The carne asada was flavorless and honestly tasted like rubber. Super overpriced garbage food. I've been to the one down town it's way better, I do not recommend this one to anyone. They'll always start you off with a plate of delicious tortilla chips and salsa, they are always keen to refill this bowl as well- we've had times where we've filled up so much on chips we have no room for actual food. A group of 8 of us dined here before heading to the Christmas lights at the railroad park. We were promptly seated and Cameron was our server. He was full of personality and was wonderful. He was very attentive and kind. We ordered a margarita pitcher, queso and a cheese crisp to start. We thought it was odd that they don't our the first round of margaritas for us. When we have dined at other Blanco restaurants they have poured the first round. We ordered our food and this is where we had some things happened to cause a 4 instead of a 5. Kids meals were brought out 10-15 minutes before all of the adult's meals. We were not asked if that's what we wanted. Personally we don't like that because then our kids are done by the time our food arrives and then we are trying to eat and they are done with being there and get antsy to leave. Once our food arrived, one of the meals came out 10 minutes before after the rest of the tables. We couldn't find Cameron during that time and no one came to check in. By the time that meal came most of us were done eating. We told them we had a birthday in the group that we were celebrating when we sat down and nothing was done for it. For lunch I ordered the braised short rib bowl (can also make it into a burrito) and my sister got the grilled mahi mahi tacos. Yum!!
