I think it's funny that this Cheddar's scratch kitchen is right next door to Olive garden because they are literally the same company but I was glad I chose Cheddar's on this day though because I really wanted something a little more hearty and they delivered. My husband ordered the Monte Cristo because he was craving sweet and savory and of course I sampled some for myself. The jam was fantastic! I had the Dijon chicken with broccoli cheese casserole and it was like eating at my grandma's house. Everything was delish and the prices here are so good. I also love that they give you a buttery croissant instead of a dry roll or biscuit. It elevates the meal while still keeping that homemade vibe.

Food/Taste/Flavor: 5/5 - ordered full rack of ribs with sides of baked potato and mashed potatoes. All entrees were complimented by a croissant. The ribs were surprisingly good even though it was only warm rather than hot. The meat was tender but still had a good bite and the sauce was light. The croissant was delicious! Light and fluffy with a slight sweetness from the glaze. The sides were simple but cooked well. Service: n/a - ordered food online and received in our car. Very smooth and efficient process! Ambiance: n/a - received food in our car so didn't see the inside of the restaurant. Value for price: 5/5 - at around $21 for a full rack of ribs, we thought it was a great deal as we were both satisfied. The online process for ordering and picking up the food was simple

Cheddars may be chain, but it's a Darden Group chain which typically means it's better than others... not always. In this case it was an extremely strong experience before even stepping foot in the door. The restaurant is not located off the main highway, but is along their main drag of chain restaurants. Olive Garden another Darden was beside them. The parking lot was free of debris. The landscaping is a WOW factor. It's absolutely stunning! The same company does Olive Garden too which looks amazing. Also worth mentioning is they have a large patio to enjoy all the floral fragrances. Even a fountain is nearby. Our hostess promptly seated us with menus for a lunch visit. Soon after our waitress welcomed us with their signature croissants drizzled with frosting. So yummy! She got drink orders and in a short amount of time we had drinks. We were prepared to put in orders. Within 15 min or so our two entrees came out by a runner. Cheeseburger with dude if broccoli and Monte Cristo with side of fries. Everything looked visually good and tasted better. Our waitress checked I soon after the foods arrival. Over half way through our meal drinks were low and a manager checked in and took care of it. We chatted a bit and found out his store is #2 in the Cheddar operation. I can understand why. Very happy with the overall front and back in of service as well as the dishes we ordered. A 4.5 seems to fit them and rounding up.

Having enjoyed the Wheeling location I was glad to stop at this location on our way home from Pigeon Forge. The layout is pretty much the same with the horizontal ceiling fan. People here are very friendly and of course your meal starts out with the famous honey butter croissants. This visit I decided to try something different so I went ahead and ordered the Bourbon salmon with vegetables. My husband had the Buffalo chicken wrap, and my daughter had the chicken pot pie. We got our food fairly quickly and it was piping hot. I loved the Bourbon glaze that came with my salmon. I got to sample my daughter's chicken pot pie and believe me it was very good and tasty!! I must say that even one bite can be filling. My husband enjoyed his Buffalo chicken wrap. Since Cheddar's is a ziosk restaurant you can pay directly on the little machine on the table or summon your waiter to bring you the check if you prefer to pay cash. We had a great meal and am looking forward to returning to the location closer to where I live.

Tonight was the worst. Between the horrid service and the God awful entrees we nearly starved. I'd give fewer stars if it were an option.

If you can, I'd recommend checking in and joining the waitlist beforehand so you can get seated as quickly as possible. Like most Texas Roadhouse locations, the atmosphere was buzzing and lively with all the college football games playing, the staff were super nice and attentive, and the food was excellent. My usual order is the rare Prime Rib with a Caesar Salad and Steak Fries -- with a side of creamy horseradish, of course! The salads at TR are always solid, the steak fries were especially crispy that day, and the prime rib was perfect: super tender, perfectly cooked, and not overly fatty. My sister also tried their Full Slab Ribs for the first time, which are supposedly award-winning, but I personally wouldn't give them that much credit. While the ribs were tender and well-cooked, they lacked seasoning. The BBQ sauce was there, but it didn't add much flavor. Maybe it was just an off day, but I'd call them mediocre at best. All in all, this Texas Roadhouse lives up to its reputation for great service and solid steaks -- but maybe skip the ribs and stick with the classics.

While no longer run by the Evans family, Bob Evans restaurants are now numbered somewhere around 450 restaurants nationwide (mostly in the Midwestern/Southern regions of the USA, altho they do have locations in PA, NY, & NJ). This location is not too far from Hwy 19 here in WV and would make a good stop for road trippers and commuters alike. The Good: *Friendly and prompt service *Coffee was classic diner fare *Prices are ridiculously cheap for large portions (please note I'm from CA, so take that with as grain of salt) *Large and plentiful parking lot *Biscuits were bomb AF *Chicken Fried Steak was not spectacular, but it got the job done. The eggs were cooked well; the steak was nice and crispy; and the hash browns were the classic representation. The Meh: . *Décor is on the non-offensive kinda boring classic diner motif. *While the food was all very good, nothing was spectacular and worthy of an immediate return trip. The Ugly: *Whatever you do, don't look at the calories for the food here. 0_o TLDR: Solid American fare that's a good solid stop when available, and also easy on the wallet, too.

As I'm typing my review, I note that I've been ignored here and I'm not the only one. A long wait for the owner to come downstairs from making a call to provide the Guest WiFi. A table of 2 that came in after me got their food before mine, while I was sitting twiddling my thumbs with nothing to do. The lady who took my order came by exactly once, to deliver my check. No offer of a water refill. After waiting a long time she finally came back and asked if I want dessert, but left without taking my order or hearing my question (wine cake?). She is responsible for this bad review and losing more business from me and other customers who also were sitting and waiting. "Have you ever waited tables before?" No, but I've had great service at many places, and this wasn't it. Unfortunately that's where I'm setting it: Don't reward bad service with your money.
