When I drove by here I thought it was going to be expense by the look of the place but it was not I paid $12 for key west chicken and shrimp with a side of fries and cheese broccoli casserole. The atmosphere was great too the inside was definitely different they had some kind of windmill thing in side. The only reason I'm not giving it a 5 star review is because it took quite some time to get my order. But overall this was a great place to eat. read more

If you read my past reviews you can tell that I am very critical when it comes to service people in restaurants, just being honest. This was my very first visit to Cheddar's. This event started a little rocky, greeter tried to put 5 people in a 4 person booth, these booths don't even accommodate 4 people. Asked if we could get larger seating area we got it but noticed that they tried this with others also. Server was very nice. The only complaints that I have is she got my drink order wrong, gave me water instead of sweet tea that I ordered but corrected mistake but took the water away, lol One of our party ordered a carbonated beverage, after 3 attempts they were all bad, non flavored carbonated colored water. Another party member asked for Tabasco sauce, server said we don't use it here, on my way to restroom I observed another server bringing a guest Tabasco. For my birthday my husband took me here at my request. The hostess didn't even look at us and barely mumbled so we had no idea what she was saying. When we were seated there was a booth close by with about 4 noisy workers sitting there. One was on her cell phone cursing out her live in because they don't do any work around the house. The food was mediocre at best and it seems like it sat under a lamp for a while because it was barely lukewarm. I had the ribs and it would have been nice if they were hot. My Coke was also flat. Tried Cheddar's while in town visiting family. Prices were amazingly reasonable, especially considering the quality. Food was good, although I didn't care for the corn off the cob. The honey buttered croissants are delicious (I had four of them). The food is very well priced and was delicious. My husband and I both got the salmon and it was very good. However, the service seemed to be a huge issue. Our waitress messed up our order, forgot to bring our appetizer, and was basically non existent for most of the meal. We had to wait for a very long time just to get our checks and eventually had to just talk to the manager because she was not coming by our table at all. He was very nice and actually gave us a very hefty percentage off, which was very kind and went over and above. But what we would have liked to have been an hour dinner, turned into a two hour venture. So overall, the food is good and the manager was nice, but our waitress was unpleasant and gave us pretty terrible service. read more

Second when she finally did acknowledge our presence she walked away. Strike two. My third thought was when she finally came back was she asked how many in your party. Order drinks and onion rings. Getting better. For arrives. First few bites are good. Then dinner comes and it was another epic fail. Broccoli ends were black and over cooked. Potato was undercooked. Steak was ok. On the other plate chicken fried steak, green beans, mashed potatoes and a side of mac n cheese. Very small green beans, mac and potatoes served. Chicken was large but 40 percent was breading. Also tasted very funny. Finished up, paid and left. The best part was the waiter . The worst part was the food. Not good quality or taste. Road trippin' back to RI from FL, we yelped a place to eat because we wanted the best traditional faire our locale had to offer.. Cheddars did NOT disappoint... To our delight all of the food is fresh and made from scratch! The chicken and waffles seem to have been made by the food lord himself!!! I am so glad I took the 15 minute adventure to find this place!!! My first time here and love the cute little card that the waitresses put down. It's a little set of introduction to include their favorite Cheddar. I'm not sure about their gratuity percentages at the bottom of the check but ok. The server was ok, she got mad when I asked for sweet tea again even though that was my original drink. Maybe it was because it was an hour prior to closing. The restaurant is big but could use a little up keep. The booth we were in had huge tips on the benches. I understand they were getting ready to close for the night but I really don't want to see someone use the same broom they just swept food from the ground with use it on the benches. Food was ok. I use to work here. Always loved the food. My favorite meals are the steak and rib combo. Tenders and ribs. Key-west chicken and the Dijon chicken. The burgers are equally as tasty. I may be little biased though so don't take my word completely. Drinks from the bar can be hit or miss mainly because of the portions Cheddar's recommends. Three visits in a row to this location, and three very very disappointing experiences each time. From not so great food, to our food being wrong, long wait times for simple things like our water and silverware, to rude staff. The last time we once again asked the manager to come to our table and he did nothing but make excuses for the slack waitress. Did nothing to compensate us or make our experience even better even though we told him we have had numerous bad experiences. Was extremely filthy looking and as a patron at any restaurant or business you never want to hear the employees yelling, cussing, and talking about their tip amounts. Horrible place to eat. After elbowing our way to the host stand to actually get on the wait list, we finally got a spot at the bar to grab a drink while we waited for our table. We watied ten minutes to actually get acknowledged, then the bartender asked if we were waiting for a table, we said yes and we were going to order drinks. He then proceeded to clear the empty drink glasses in front of us, left and went about his business. It then took another 5 minutes for the other bartender to take our drink order. I ordered a drink, my girlfriend didn't, and cashed out. The two bartenders started to have a discussion about the two of us while pointing at us to make sure that we settled up. We finally got sat at our table, and our server straight up told us that it's been hectic and three people walked out that day. We ordered an appetizer and entrees, not too bad for timing but when the entrees came, that's when we had a problem. My girlfriend order the steak and ribs combo, with broccoli on the side. I ordered the steak and shrimp combo with creamy broccoli cassarole and green beans for sides. The server said that they were out of ribs for the combo and substituted shrimp instead, not knowing that my girlfriend is allergic to shrimp, we had to send that back. They also forgot the side of broccoli on her entree. Both our steaks were not cooked properly, one side was charred and over cooked. All of our side of vegetables were over cooked and cold. We asked to see the manager on duty and he compted all of our food and gave us tickets for free entrees. That's ok to fix the problem, but this place needs to fix alot of things. I would recommed going in the middle of the afternoon or right before they close when they aren't busy. That's the only time that you'll get the service you deserve. read more

Fantastic food! I had the chicken pot pie and my mama had the cornmeal battered catfish. Everything was excellent, even the French fries. We ordered some croissants that had a honey butter glaze and they were amazing! It was our first time eating here and the waitress mentioned it to the chef. The chef came out at the end of our meal and thanked us for coming in and asked how our meal was. She gave us chocolate chip cookies to take home. All the employees were super friendly. Worst service ever. We ordered and salads were brought out. We had no silverware however. The waitress did not come back for many minutes and we had to ask for it. Fine. Then entree came out and my food was completely wrong. The sever did not return to the table for about 7 or some minutes. When alerted it was the wrong thing she immediately came back laughing that she grabbed the wrong plate. Normally these things would not bother me, but all of this could have been prevented with better service and actually checking on tables. Last night my family and co workers and I went here for my 36th birthday and from the time we walked in to the time we left it was absolutely horrible!!! Customer Service: issue 1: It took the girls at the door forever to greet us at the door and seat us. They were not busy AT ALL. Maybe 30 cars in parking lot. Issue 2: Finally we were seated and server (I can't address her properly because she never introduced herself to us and no name tag) walked away and maybe about 15 minutes later she came back and got our drink order (there were 10 of us) 4 drinks she got wrong. She asked if we were ready to order. I said we just need a few more minutes. 35 minutes later she finally came to get our order. Issue 3,4 and 5: Meanwhile, our cups were empty the whole time, which she didn't looked concerned because we watched her with her group of co workers conversations and laughing across the room. So after we ordered it literally took 40 more minutes for her to come back and say that the food is coming up hot and fresh out of the oven in 1 minute. Food came out approximately 15 minutes more. Food quality issue: 1st issue all the adults got their food but my 4 year old nephew had to wait for his cheeseburger kids meal for an additional 15 minutes. And when he got his burger the bun literally looked like it sat on the burger all day AND why would they put parsley on his fries?? 2nd issue food was not at all hot for it to just come out the oven. 3rd Issue and the last straw. My best friends chicken was raw and slimy!!!! I wish I would've taken a picture of it. We immediately asked for a manager. 10 minutes later she arrives and when she seen it her face was in disbelief!!! We informed her of the servers bad service as well. My son asked for 2 carry out containers for his salad and rolls. They never brought the containers to us. They were quick to give us our check but never apologized. The server then come and stood beside me and said I'll stand here and wait for your payment because I know y'all are ready to go and I don't want y'all to say I left again and then rolled her eyes!!! Several years ago when this Cheddars location opened everyone was excited. It's beautifully designed with a broad menu selection and low prices. The service every time I've gone has been horrible. I thought I'd give them one last try. I went today with my best friend. The hostesses were very rude, fake laughing and overly friendly like they didn't want to be there and appeared irritated we even walked in to bother their important conversation. Our food was bland, did not get plates with our onion ring appetizer...so we had to use napkins until we requested plates....just not somewhere I plan on going to again. read more
