I had the fried catfish; the lunch portion; which was suppose to be 3 pieces but it was 5. It was absolutely delicious. Everyone's food was good, BUT the Service was Horrible. It took 10 minutes to get our drinks, and after another 10 minutes we finally had to ask if our waitress would take our order. Her excuse, "she was waiting on the chef"! What? And them it took another 29 minutes to get our food, and at that time we had to ask for silverware. Chedders could be great, but they will only survive if they fix the service staff. If I was just rating the food, I would give then a 4 but the service was so horrible, I felt it took away from the great food. And the restaurant was warm, and it was 102 outside, so it also took away from an enjoyable meal. We will try again, but I really hope they take care of their service problems! read more

Ok if you like bad food and perplexed wait staff then by all means go. First, I inquired about combining two menu items and it took 45 mins to get an approval from "management". How many staff does it take to order? Literally 3. The waiter came out 3 times to confirm my order and the manager 2 times to clarify. Then some random person to tell me the total. I got 1/4 oz of steak (supposedly medium well) but it was well and a burnt salmon. Whew, had I not been with someone who traveled 1 hour to meet me I would have left hungry. But, I stayed. Why? The server was gracious and had a good sense of humor. The menu is acceptable. The drinks didn't taste the best, kinda watered down and flat. The spinach dip was so so, you could tell it had been frozen at some point prior as a result of the watery nature of it but, it had a good flavor I liked the lack of artichokes in it. There was a table next to us that sat dirty the entire time we were here. My salmon lacked flavor and was over cooked. The broccoli and cheese dish was cold. The red beans and rice are ok. read more

We ate dinner there last night. The place was packed, with a line, but the 30 minute wait turned out to be only 10 minutes. The waitstaff were friendly and efficient. Better than expected! The "one-at-a-time" brewed ice tea was recommended, and was really good. We had salads with chicken (grilled and crispy). The lettuce was reasonably fresh, chicken well prepared, and proportions very generous. We would go there again. read more

The food was great and so was the service. We were seated promptly and our order was taken. We received our appetizer before our food but it was ok because the waitress had given us water while we waited on our drinks. The waitress was very nice and attentive. They gave us more than enough food. The prices are very reasonable and it has a nice down to earth atmosphere. It's great to go here when you don't feel like getting too dressy for dinner. The bathrooms were clean and our two meals and two alcoholic drinks only cost about $40. Don't eat here without trying the strawberry electric lemonade. read more

I ordered a drink and was told that the liquor that was used for the drink was out so the drink was not available "This came from Natalie"..... Ok.... so I ordered a different drink. Fast forward to my meal...order the nachos with hamburger beef no beef..Fine . I ordered the ribs and shrimp dinner with broccoli cheese casserole and fries.... Food came out with the casserole and no fries. Emily stated that they were cooking "I said Ok" So i started my meal slowly waiting on my fries.... NO Fries.... So a new couple sat directly beside us and Emily took their order and next thing I know they received the loaded fries with cheese as their appetizer and they had just sat down to order.... I STILL HAVE NO FRIES...... So I ask Emily for a baked potato instead since they were already done.... Mind you my meal is almost done because if I didn't eat my food it would have been cold..... So I'm done with my meal and here comes the fries and soon after here comes the baked potato delivered by Natalie........Emily wanted her to come to the table to make things right........ NATALIE MADE IT WORST....I told her what happened that my meal is gone and I'm paying for a full meal that I didn't get... and how the table next to me got their loaded fries and they had just sat down and ordered their appetizer and got fries while I was waiting on mines to enjoy my meal... I told her that I was finished and she offered me a box to take the baked potato home..... Seriously......NO APOLOGY JUST I'LL GIVE YOU A BOX TO TAKE YOUR BAKED POTATO HOME... We have been to this location several times, but the past few times have been getting worse and worse. While the food is ok, the service today was horrible. Our waitress was Lori and she could use some serious lessons in customer service. After ordering our food, we waited 45 minutes before asking if it would be coming out soon. I told her it had been 45 minutes so we were just wondering, she proceeded to argue with me that it had only been 20 minutes. I knew exactly how long it had been because I received a text message while ordered. But regardless you don't argue with the customer. We were told our food hadn't arrived yet because they were waiting for the chicken pot pie that someone is our party ordered. They did bring out our food. And my fiancé, who ordered the chicken pot pie, received his food about 10-15 minutes later. Since we had complained to the manager about the waitresses attitude, it only got worse from there with the way she spoke to us and treated us. She brought out one ticket without bothering to ask if we were all together. So then we had to ask her to please divide the ticket since we were not all together. When we asked for to go plates, she gave us ones that were too small. We then asked could we get some bigger ones that would hold our food. She was standing right in front of us with them. So she basically threw them at us and proceeded to tear the smaller ones in half while standing there before turning and stomping off. We did appreciate that management took 25% off of our bill. But we should not have to get treated like we did by a waitress in a restaurant. I do not think I will be back to this location. read more

Went there with a friend for lunch, around 1:30 on a Saturday. We sat at the high tops in the bar area. After 10 minutes with no one speaking to us we asked a server that was passing by if we could get some help. She was polite and told us that she was not our server, and pointed out the lady that was. Our server was at one of the booths in the bar. While we sat we noticed a man sitting at the next table. We struck up small talk, he told us he had been there for 15 minutes, and no one had spoken to him either. We tried getting the attention of our server and were ignored. The man at the next table finally just got up and left. At the 20 minute mark we decided to leave as well. Keep in mind there were two other servers working in that area, and even though we were not their table you would have though one of them could have let someone know we were being ignored. Could have offered to get us some water, something. The bartender was just 10 feet away and didnt notice, or didnt care that we were being ignored. She was not swamped. She was standing at the end of the bar chatting most of the time. All the time our server was hanging out at one booth with her back to us. On leaving I asked to speak to the manager. He was up at the front. When I let him know were leaving without being served and why, He was polite, and asked what table we were sitting at. I showed him, and I could see he was really frustrated. He asked if there was anything he could do. I said no and thanked him for asking. My friend and I left and weny to Ruby Tuesdays, and had a great lunch. Just something to think about, the man that left, my friend and I are all of the same skin color. Our server is of a different skin color. I would hate to think that was the reason we were being ignored. If it was, you have a real issue that you had better get fixed. To start, my rasperry lemonaid with strawberries in it was the BEST drink I have ever had! If i return to this resteraunt, it will be for this drink alone. Also, our waitress was kind and the price was reasonable. On the down side, our food took a long time, and our order then came out wrong. My husband and I left after sending our food back and only eating an antree and having our drinks (which mine was so good!) but we were not offered any promotion or incentive to return. This is my second time going to a cheddars. First time being at this location. Services was not good at all and it wasn't even rush hour. I ordered the grilled chicken Alfredo and it lacked flavor. I was upset because i didn't get to get my garlic toast bread. It was never brought out or anything. I wasn't able to tell our waiter because she was off somewhere else. If I could give a rating of 0, I absolutely would. The customer service here was horrible. I have been to the restaurant multiple times and service is usually okay but this particular day it was horrible. I went on a Sunday so the wait time was lengthy(45 minutes). Upon seating, I was told my party and I would be spread throughout the restaurant and that we couldn't even be seated in the same area... even though there were empty tables around. Later, while we were having our drink orders taken, another party was seated where we were told the rest of our party couldn't be seated. The afternoon goes on & we had our orders taken & when we received our food it was cold. After a while, we ate and then the checks came & this is where the BS begins. Of the 6 people at my table, 2 paid cash and everyone else paid with cards using the machine at the end of the table. The machine was clearing the checks as they were paid so I accidentally paid for a tab twice. When I noticed the mistake, I told the waitress( MelissaL) and she said that would speak with a manger and get it fixed for me. She came back moments later and said the manager told her the best thing to do was to just give me my change in cash, which she did. So, this should have been the end of the issue. The waitress then brings a different manager to our table saying we had a tab that wasn't paid. The tab wasn't paid because she failed to refund my money and have me pay for the correct tab. The manager is saying that he could run the card again and such & such but I over it because I asked the waiter to do that from the beginning but she wouldn't. Now, the manager is going back and forth with my table & I. (forgot to get the managers name) The waitress is just looking as if she doesn't know whats going on basically looking like she doesn't remember anything. Someone from my table offered to pay for the open tab(after it was already paid) and the manager is steady saying no because he knew what was happening didn't make sense. Eventually the manager stopped fussing at us and we left. I will NOT be returning to this restaurant. read more
