The food is great and great pricing. When we were seated, the waitress took a drink and appetizer order. We got our drinks and appetizer quickly but it took for quite some time to order our entrees. Once we ordered our entrees they came out quickly. Unfortunately this time our waitress wasn't in a good mood and had an attitude. It really looks like she did not want to be there. Even though the food, drinks, and decor is really nice, if the staff is not friendly then the environment turn someone negative and unwelcoming. Terrible service.... Walk in the door, first thing you see is a group of girls laughing at the hostess stand pushing all on the manager or some gentleman. Told to wait, they then called us by hey you.. we are ready to seat you. Once at the table sat for 10 minutes waiting for a server, then after 3 servers and a manager argue about whose table it was... A server comes over and says I will help you. Can I get you drinks and apologized. After waiting 6 minutes he gives the table next to us their ticket. Still no drinks brought to us, not even a glass of water. One star because I couldn't give zero. My husband and I visited on Sunday and the service was horrible. The hostess was very unprofessional. After being led to a dirty table the hostess did wipe it down before was sat, while laughing and engaging in conversation with our soon to be waitress. I ordered a 6oz steak cooked well with no pink and my husband had the New Orleans pasta. My steak arrived on a bed of French fries onions that were saturated in blood from the undercooked steak when I told the waitress she asked it I could put the steak on my appetizer plate which was dirty. She then asked if I want a new steak on the undercooked steak I asked for another on and she informed me the it will "take a long time" because I wanted it well down. Mind you I still had a baked potato and broccoli +bloody onions on the plate she left for me. My husband also asked for extra Alfredo sauce upon receiving his entire...Her response "you want it to go?" She was lost. I asked to speak to a manager several time and she never came. The manger the walked past my table and didn't acknowledge me. The cook then came out with another steak which was also undercooked. I asked to speak to a manger for a third time and she finally came to my table. First thing out of her mouth "is that one not done either?" Which lets me know that she was aware of request to speak to her two times. After about an hour of wasted time we asked for the check for the appetizer and drinks because I'd given up on my steak and I was not going to be eating a cold baked potato and broccoli off of a bloody plate along with another undercooked steak. The waitress came over sat the check on the table didn't look at us never apologized for her horrible service, she just turned away and walked off. Cheddar used to be our favorite spot upon moving to Fayetteville. Horrible service, hair in my daughters food, and the waitress spilled mash potatoes on me. Our drinks took 38min to come, and our waitress didn't check up on us. We had to keep bothering other servers. Not too mention, we were told they were out of straws for my family of 5, yet people bring seated after us received straws. Definitely, not a favorable place for us anymore. read more

I have been to Cheddars a few times, each time there is about a 15-30 minute wait. I generally don't mind waiting but there isn't much space with the way the building is set up so every few minutes your having to scoot over to let somebody squeeze past. Last time I went apparently they were backed up in the kitchen so we ordered an appetizer and our waiter brought out extra chips. We thought he was being super nice but then he explained to use the hold up in the kitchen... but oh well at least he thought about us. Overall the food was pretty good, they tend to pretty much soak anything that's fried in batter. I had the fried shrimp and had to end up pulling half of the "fried" part off b/c it was way too much. It's fairly new so I believe they are still working the kinks out but overall it's a good place for a nice family dinner. Went for a birthday party and the food was good order chicken tenders cover in hot honey mustard they we're okay but the forty five minutes it took to get them was over the top great waitress wasn't really her fault the kitchen couldn't get it together. They were super busy but your a restaurant and it's Saturday and you can't get it together for a plan birthday party food not worth price considering the time you have to wait. This place should really get 1 star, but i'll give em an extra star for the food. The service here is sh*t. The first time we went here we had a decent server but everytime after that it's been crap. They get pretty busy and the hostesses just seat you anywhere without really telling the servers. The food has always been pretty good but it's not worth the crappy service. The servers will forget that you exist after you've placed your order and they'll make sure to bring you a check for a different table. The manager will come over to you and lie and say that she's new and that they're trying to turn the place around and fix the service...even though she's a huge part of the problem. Cheddars is one of my go to spots that usually never disappoints. I generally stay away from all restaurants on Sunday afternoon/evening in an effort to avoid that after church crowd, but I was out of town and decided to go for it. Surprisingly when we walked in it wasn't overcrowded and we sat down quickly. We ordered our food and drinks and it went downhill from there. Our waitress failed to bring our drinks (non alcoholic) and when we reminded her she seemed offended. Then our food took forever. When we received it, the steaks weren't cooked as ordered and my fish was cold. We ordered three salads and she only brought out two...again she was annoyed when she reminded her. We spoke to the manager who removed one of the steaks from the check, we paid and left. Fast forward a week and I notice that the waitress added an additional $10 tip to my ticket. I called my friend and she had added $5 to hers...and $10 to the other guest that was with us. I called back and spoke to the manager who said that he found our tickets and that she had in fact added additional tips. He apologized and stated that he would adjust our checks. That was months ago and the checks were never adjusted. Lucky for her I live in a different city or I would have shown up to cheddars with the police. That is flat out theft! Makes me apprehensive about using my cards at restaurants. Unacceptable! read more

NO STARS THIS PLACE SUCKS DONT GO I went to Cedders in Fayetteville NC. It was the worst dining experience I ever had. It took twenty seven min sitting at our table before anyone asks if we needed help. I mean no drinks no menus nothing not even a hello. Once we were finally ask if we needed anything it took another twenty five min just to get an appetizer of onion rings and drinks. When our food finally showed up total time passed two hours, from the time we sat down. The rude waitress dropped off our food with no silverware. I asked her for some utensils and she gave us a dirty look. My friends were all very angry at this point & so was I. I had to ask another waitress for silverware. She came back and said your waitress will be right out with it. When we finally were able to eat, our food was cold. This was the worst I have ever experienced in my life. Since then I spoke with my other friends of mine that have eaten at Chedders they all say the same thing it's the worst place to eat. Your building is beautiful and your menu looks great. I implore you to fix your staffing problems and your managers don't give a shit attitude. We asked to speak to the manager, but he was to busy for us and sent someone from the kitchen staff to talk with us. I can tell you from my experience I will never eat there again. 1. Our waitress was excellent! Hostess was happy to put 2 tables together for 7 of us at 12:05 on a Monday. 2. Our lunch took much longer to arrive than expected - they were not busy at all, and all our meals were sandwiches/wraps or chic. fingers... 3. My Monte Christo was not appetizing at all. I am familiar with them being dipped in a slightly thickened, unsweetened beaten egg, like for French toast, but this one was dipped in a very sweet pancake batter, and not cooked enough (raw batter inside). With all the 'sweet' of the thick batter, there was not enough 'savory' meat & cheese to off-set it. I had the mac n cheese side and it was an extremely small serving (a scant 1/4 cup). 4. The wraps & other sandwiches were viewed favorably, but the chicken fingers were quite blah - not much taste at all to the coating. 5. They seem to have switched to really cheap-o aluminum plate-like objects with a paper liner instead of your typical plate ware, and it is of no benefit, aesthetically! They don't suit the décor at all (belong in a burgers 'n' beer joint, not a very attractive restaurant) and 3 of our 7 plates were very bent/warped and did not sit flat on the table. With this significant plate ware downgrade alone, I felt the prices to be a bit high. I know this will sound petty, but it really affects the 'class' of the establishment. Just another typical restaurant. The atmosphere and set up is nice. When I got there, I was seated pretty quickly. I did notice the overwhelming amount of employees, must be the managers way of making sure nothing goes wrong. There was one employee whose sole purpose seemed to be checking the levels of the salt & pepper shakers, and the amount of ketchup left in the bottles. After making a trip to the mens restroom, I was surprised to find the urinals as dirty as they were. Was there someone assigned to that task? Let's talk about the service. My server(s) was courteous and prompt. The one problem I did have was that when I ordered my entree, she didn't ask what side item I wanted. When my food arrived she politely told me she didn't know what I wanted as a side item so she made a choice of her own. The demeanor in which she told me this suggested it was no big deal. Her choice wasn't my favorite and so I didn't eat the side item. Another opportunity to notice the amount employees on shift came when I had a different server bring me a beer, another one bring my appetizer, another one bring my entree, and three different bus boys/girls picking things up from my table. Lets talk about the food. My appetizer was lacking in the temperature department. If I can take a bite from a cheese stick and the cheese comes out in a solid stick form as opposed to melting mess, something's wrong. (This may also apply to the service). The rather popular honey butter croissants were not fully cooked but had enough honey butter on them to stop your heart on sight. My entree was a simple chicken sandwich. Healthy choice right? Not so much if you realize how much butter they slather on the bread. Cheddar's Restaurant has all the potential to be a great place however, will only be just another typical restaurant. Every aspect of this establishment suggests amateur level management and experience. This past time was the last time I will ever patronize the Fayetteville store. I was trying to place a TO GO order and waited forever to place the order. Bad, experience overall, 1st off Fayetteville is the most unsecured and overcrowded town in the history of North Carolina, and it is extremely negligent to be an anti-firearm establishment. There were patrons in gang colors in the restaurant but I could not open carry my pistol. The actual dining experience was full of ineptitude and general incompetence, my friend's wife is extremely sensitive to spices. Prior to our arrival she reviewed the menu and attempted to analyze what would be a good dinner solution for her. When placing our order she effectively communicate this to the server, and when her order arrived it was too spicy, as if all her questions and concerns were ignored. Drink service was extremely slow (water only) it's extremely disappointing that in 2016 the simple task of effective use of manpower to ensure appropriate coverage of employees to meet the needs of the clientele, is appalling! Finally the bill was inaccurate, we were charged for items that never came to the table, and the restaurant does not offer a military discount, commerce and the DOD here are in a symbiotic relationship and to ignore that and treat millitary members as a cash cow and over charge for all of this incompetence and failure to do simple tasks, is just oh so wrong. Good food + great price + horrible server = an unpleasant first experience. My group consisted of 9 peoples (which we split into 2 booths of 4 and 5 to lessen the wait time). It took about 20 minute for the server to take our food/drink orders. The server comes back and tells us they are out of potatoes... so we change things on the order. 10 minutes later, while group of 4 got their apps, we got nothing. 15 minutes later (while still waiting for the apps) 2 other groups come in and are seated behind us. When I say those 2 tables had super fast service... I'm talking about within 20 minutes their meals had come out (and they had potatoes). And here we (the table of 5) still haven't received the apps we ordered 45 minutes ago (one of the apps was Queso dip, so there was no reason that should have been held up). Keep in mind, the server had not once come back to the tables to check on us or even offer an excuse for the delay. So, we went in search for the manager (after a discussion of whether or not we should just leave). After over an hour of being seated, with only water on the table, the manager was able to get our apps and food out. The new server we got, the manager and the general manager, Scott, were great. However, our original server needs some serious customer service training. We have waited longer than that in some places due to the good service and the good food. Had the server just checked in on us once, refilled our water, or even gave some generic excuse about being super busy/the kitchen is a little behind... that would have pacified the main problem we had. The food here is on point! I love it and wish I could continue going back but I wont. One night I came in with my sister and fiance and we had ordered the cheese dip with chips. Yes, I understood it was an hour before closing so when the waitress said they were out of chips I completely understood. 10 minutes later a table came in and sat behind us of a different etnicity. The waitress took their order and behold they were able to get the spinach dip with CHIPS. Returned here for the first time since 2015 tonight because I was back in town and really enjoyed this place four years ago. WOW has time been ugly to the quality of customer experience at this place! First, I'm not sure if they were short on staff or what - but they made our group of 3 and several other groups wait 10-15 minutes when maybe 50-60% of tables were occupied. Ordered the onion rings as an appetizer and they were awesome! Our waitress took our order from 6 feet away while sitting back against the table on the other side of the aisle from us. Food was somewhere between good and great and I don't have any real knocks on it - but staff training has clearly disappeared and the quality shows. Very sad because four years ago, this use to be a great place to eat and have a wonderful time out with people, but that did not happen for us tonight and our experience tonight falls perfectly in line with many of the reviews from other people along with the overall rating of this location. Props to the kitchen staff and back-of-house staff for doing their part and I don't want them thinking the food quality had any impact on this bad rating. I work in the industry so it wasn't the worst thing. But he didn't even give us time to tell him what was wrong because he ignored us. Horrible service, food would of been good if it was hot. Asked for ranch, never got it or our to go drink. I work for Darden so this was such a disappointment. When asked for the discount since I work for the company, was told that the manager said it doesn't start until "October 2nd" which I know to be untrue. I'm not even sure how to rectify this. We went back at the end of June and waited 20 minutes for drinks, and another 45 for food on my daughters birthday, only to hear the table behind us complain how we got our food first(they were there before us). We asked three times for the table to be cleaned and eventually another waiter came. Three of us got our meals served and our fourth friend didn't get his food until we were done eating!! No drink refills until we asked and even though he promised to be right back in 10 seconds, it was much closer to 10 minutes each time. A good server brings drink refills before you need to ask. One of us ordered mashed potatoes as a side, and the waiter came back to say they were out of mashed potatoes (???) but when the dish did come.... There were magically mashed potatoes on the plate!? Went there for the first time ever today. Heard good things about it and wanted to give it a try. The drinks were really good. Cheap , large and a lot of flavor. The food was OK and the service terrible. We walked in the door and we're ignored for a good 3 minutes, it felt really awkward. We got seated and the waiter put napkins on our table without saying a word and kept it moving. He was really slow and got our order wrong. I wanted salad with shrimps added and honey mustard dressing. I got ranch dressing and no shrimps. My husband ordered a cheese steak sandwich and wanted tomatoes and lettuce added but apparently he forgot about that as well. The food was not special, my husband said it tasted like warmed up in a microwave. No joke I had one cherry tomato cut in half in my salad and after asking again , I received 4 shrimps for $3,99.
