I've been at this restaurant in past and always walked away satisfied, but my latest visit was totally disappointing. My meal was bourbon glaze salmon with fries & carrots on the side, a meal I've had in past. To begin with the Salmon was overcooked and the fries were warm, not hot, and appeared to have been sitting in a warm bucket or under a heat lamp for sometime. Just came in for a basic steak, sweet potatoes, and green beans with a glass of wine. Got exactly what I needed and In & out. Server was very attentive, greeters & manager at door helpful, 2-3 fussy young kids in booths nearby but no biggie cuz it was at 5:30-6pm, Nice relaxed restaurant setting for a decent price. I asked that it be cooked a little longer and 35 minutes later it was returned to table after my husband had finished his meal . No explanations as to why it took so long. She was argumentative, rude and did not bring the check. She had another server deliver. We have not been back . Really not the type to leave a review but this experience was honestly didn't sit well with me. I went in tonight to enjoy an anniversary dinner with my boyfriend. We went in about 30 minutes till close, yes I know that's a bit late but we where honestly just trying to simply get in enjoy the meal and get out, & that we did. Buttttt we had a server who first introduced himself to us asked us what he could get us to drink & took our order. When our drinks was brought out to us, we went to drink them & realized we had no straws. No big deal. Well we asked the guy who took our order for the drinks if we could get some straws. He looked at us & said "my bad, I'm off my game" & proceeded to walk away. Well he walked past us at least 6 times before my boyfriend had to get his attention again for the straws. He then finally gave us the straws after about 15 minutes of waiting & hit was like a drop & go. I said thank you & everything and it was basically ignored. Well about 10 minutes after receiving our straws we got our food & he notified me my other side would be out shortly. I went to begin to eat my food but to no surprise, no silverware. We had to wait to get buddy's attention again to finally receive that & it was like he was annoyed by us & we where in no way trying to be rude. He gave us our silverware & he let us know that he "wasn't our server" & the guy at the bar was & that we was about to leave. Well shorty after we where told that the guy from the bar came over & let us know that we was taking over for him & asked us if everything was okay. He was very sweet & willing to help. We notified him that I never received my other side & he asked if their was anything he could replace it I responded no snd just asked if we couldn't be charged for it since we never received it. We had no issue with this guy it was the other server that was rude for no reason. & I completely understand the time we came in & that they where close to closing. But even without us receiving our utensils we where in & out 10 minutes after close. If we got it to begin with we would've been faster if we got everything. read more

This is one of my favorite restaurants in town. The prices are low yet the food and service are excellent. We go here often, at least once or twice a month, and not once have they disappointed us. The menu selection is wide, from steaks and burgers to salads and pastas. Their drinks are also strong and cheap. You can't go wrong with this place. read more

My husband and I went here for date night and it did not disappoint. This restaurant has always been one of our favorites, but it has been about a year since we had gone. The menu had been revamped since our last visit, the new nacho recipe is delicious! Fresh cilantro, sweet bbq, excellent flavor! Our waitress, Summer, was very sweet and brought everything out in a timely manner. I ordered grilled chicken for my main course and about half way through, I saw pink, so it was slightly undercooked. I told the waitress and she brought me another piece quickly. We ordered dessert, the chocolate cake is amazing !! We asked for our check and was then told our entire meal had been taken care of, we asked why, and she said because she would not want to eat after being served raw chicken either so they comped the check. I've been to this location twice. The first time to food was pretty decent. This time I ordered a medium steak and got a well done(I was hard to chew over cooked) you could tell the spinach dip had sat under the heater for a while too. We had horrible service the last time we came. This time we came with a pretty large party and we were all pretty understanding with the fact that they had one kid serving 25 of us and had other tables. He didn't have any help for the first hour and a half we were there. He was working his butt off. 2 hours after being there we got our food or at least most of us. Here again we understood that we were a large party on a Saturday night. It wasn't until we were ready to pay that we got irritated. We didn't have the correct check 3 times. The biggest problem with this whole situation is that we tried to call 3 days in advance and make reservations but they don't take Saturday reservation.... if they had they could have had time to get the extra help in there for this poor kid. At first it seemed like a decent restaurant. I was greeted on arrival by the hostess, however she was incredibly unenthusiastic. Once seated, it took about 5 minutes before I was greeted by my server. She took my drink order and after that she was very good at checking in without being pushy. I ordered the Steak and Tenders, steak cooked medium. Whenever my food was brought to me my steak was dark red in the center. I sent it back expecting it to come back medium but instead it came back well done. My tenders were bland and definitely needed sauce with them. Ok I felt compelled to write this review bc I have never had such bad service like we did yester. We went on a Sunday around 1pm which was very busy as soon as we got there. We waited for about 10 mins to get a table which was fast. So when we sat we waited for the waiter to take our drink order more than 5 mins. He then came over and we ordered drinks and our appetizer. Our appetizer which was only croissants took more than 10 mins and when he finally brought them he didn't even bring small plates. We then ordered our food and I got a ceasar salad which I never got first. After another 10mins or so waiting I asked if I could get my salad and he said oh yeah I forgot. He then brought it out and our food took forever to come out. We finally get our food and right away I noticed that I got fried shrimp instead of grilled. We were also missing our loaded potatoes which he said he would bring out. So I let the server know about the shrimp and he didn't even apologize but he said that they had actually ran out of baked potatoes. Lk really he told us this when we had our food already. So we decided to get loaded mashed potatoes which he brought out on a small dish and it was literally dripping all over the table. Plus my mashed potatoes didn't even have bacon on them. By this point he said my grilled shrimp would be another min. Overall this was the worse service we had ever had a cheddars Im not sure if it was our waiter maybe he was new but from the time we sat down and left it was well over 2 hrs. I noticed we were not the only ones complaining others around us were too due to the service was too slow. My husband and I stopped in around 830 pm on a Saturday night. We stoop at the hostess station for 5 minutes before the hostesses even greeted us. We were told it would be at least an hour wait-we left. We will not return because of the rudeness. The hostesses ruined it for us. read more

Great food, great drinks but service always depends on who you get and where you are. During my previous visit we sat in the main restaurant. The place was very busy but the waiter still took decent care of us. My most recent visit was at the bar, where I was literally ignored for the bulk of my time there. The bar nor the restaurant was crowded on this day, so for me to have to flag down the TWO bartender girls to order was a bit insulting and ridiculous considering how much I patron this chain. Oh but when it came time to pay the bill then they poured the niceness on. Hmph. If I ever go back I know NOT to go to the bar. To start off our waiter needed to belt his pants. He never offered a water refill, shrimp was cold, ribs were really good, corn and green beans were good. No so crazy about their Mac and cheese. Waiter brought our check without asking if we wanted desert. Anyone that knows me would say "that's really bad". I'm the one that eats desert first many times. Having never eaten at a Cheddar's before I was not sure what to expect. However I was not disappointed. The food was amazing. We had the following: Mile high onion rings for just $4 (delicious), ribs and steak dinner (ribs were fall off the bone and super tasty), even the kids enjoyed their food immensley. This was my very time visiting a Cheddar's. I had the beer battered fried chicken, broccoli cheese casserole, and the Texas Cheese Fries as an appetizer. I hate to nit pick over small things. The food was very good. I would like to try something else on the menu next time other than that shrimp. The Broccoli cheese casserole was amazing. The Texas Cheese Fries were great as well. Went for a drive with my family today to Jaemoor Farm and on the way back we decided to eat at Cheddar's. I had Country Fried Steak, Baked Potato and Broccoli My meal was great, very large portion. I was really happy with the service, and the place was packed. We were seated pretty quickly. :) The prices were insanely cheap for the quality of food, and I would visit again for sure. Have been to this location many times and usually am quite satisfied but after tonight we will NEVER be back! The food was mediocre, at best, even their usually spectacular onion rings were far greasier than normal. The service was far from what we usually get, our waiter made minimal contact with us, and what we saw from the rest of the waitstaff was APPALLING!!! The hostess apparently knew the table sitting next to us because she kept EATING OFF THEIR PLATES AND DRINKING THEIR DRINKS!! Tell me how that is acceptable?? For all any other observers knew it could have been an alcoholic beverage!!!!! The waiters and waitresses not waiting on guests were leaning all over the hostess station, talking and laughing and having a grand old time. I even saw a waiter SKIPPING through the restaurant and management was NOWHERE TO BE FOUND!! As a former restaurant manager, had this been my shift, several of the waitstaff would been sent home PERMANENTLY!!! I can understand that the weather slowed down business, but if there's time to lean there's time to clean!!!! Overall, I am supremely unimpressed by the childish and lazy appearance of this establishment's waitstaff and the lackluster food and would strongly discourage anyone thinking of trying this place out! read more

Poor poor service. We ordered drinks and an appetizer and asked for a little time after we got our appetizer to order. We didnt see our server for 15 minutes! Wasn't a huge deal. We finally were able to order our food. Didn't see our server or get our food for 30 minutes! I had to flag down another server to ask to speak with a manager. She blamed the kitchen. I do not believe the kitchen was to blame. We saw tables that sat AFTER us get their food, pay, and leave before we got our food! We didn't even order anything that would have taken long! They offered 10 percent off the bill, which didnt even cover one of our plates, and a free dessert. Our server let us know that desserts are made from scratch, so to order before we finish our food as it takes a while to make. Well, thanks for the heads up, but we didn't see her again until we all finished our food! We could not wait for the dessert, as we had already been at our table for 70 minutes. The last four or five times I've been to this location I've had horrible service either food takes an hour to come out or its cold when it get to the table or its not what we ordered and the manager wade himself said that it was the kitchen staffs fault that he's working on the issue will not be going here again read more
