First time at Cheddar's, and I can guarantee that it won't be my last. Being a Saturday night, we were seated immediately. It was busy, but not overly crowded. The restaurant was really nice inside. Very modern and American decor all around. I love that I saw about 5 American flags, including a very old one in an enclosed frame right above our booth. Our waitress couldn't have been any nicer and friendlier. She was very prompt and attentive. Our food was absolutely delicious. I had the Top Sirloin and Ribs with cheese and bacon Mashed Potatoes and the southern green beans. Paired with a Texas Sweet Tea. I truly enjoyed every last bite. It was delicious. The ribs were so tender that I couldn't pick up a rib bone without the meat just falling off. For dessert I truly enjoyed the Hot Fudge Cake Sundae. It was absolutely delicious. My daughters loved the Chicken Tenders. They were delicious as well. Overall, I loved this restaurant. Our server Capriane made this a very enjoyable evening! What a deal for a family of 4 it was under $100 and that was with two adult beverages and an appetizer. The warm croissants at the start with drizzled butter and honey.... OMG... yes please! We all enjoyed our meals and had a lot left to take home for lunch tomorrow. Our first visit to this newer location and it was really excellent. We were greeted upon entering and seated immediately. Our server, Infinite D. did an excellent job. They were very attentive and very knowledgeable of the menu. I was happy they have Coke Zero available and added grenadine to give it a cherry taste. Along with our drinks they brought us a couple of honey butter croissants which were so good I wanted to eat a dozen of them. They are a new item and the first one is free for now. At 220 calories it was not good for my diet but so worth going over. For our meals my companion got the Grilled Chicken Alfredo, which has broccoli, carrots and their homemade Alfredo sauce and toasted garlic bread. It was a decent serving and they really enjoyed it. I got the half rack of ribs with grilled shrimp, with a side salad with a pomegranate vinaigrette. The said came out first and was delicious. Our entrees came out before I finished my salad but it was worth the wait to finish the salad first. I tackled the shrimp first and the ride last. The shrimp come on a bed of rice with a bourbon glaze. I think I found my new favorite way to have shrimp. The ribs were a perfect compliment with the shrimp. They have a homemade rub and are slow smoked and grilled with a honey BBQ sauce. These were fall off the bone ribs with a wonderful depth of flavor. I have eaten at Cheddar's for many years now and am glad to have one close enough to go to more regularly now. This one is well located near the South entrance to Disney World. We had to track down the waitress taxi send it back. Food was less than average coming out at varying temperatures from cold to hot. The real kicker here was the wait staff way under par and really just seemed annoyed by the fact that you were there which is really weird because the entire restaurant was completely empty. Three stars for average service and food. I started my sentence off like this because I was very excited to try this place out as I heard great reviews from my Texan friends. Unfortunately, it was very average and I didn't find it as exciting. I definitely think that the drizzled warm croissants is what sets this place apart from other eateries. Other than that, the food option is average in terms of American plate cuisine offerings. The croissant was very delicious and that is what I mostly will remember this place for. My friend who has been here before did mention the croissants were taking long to be brought to the table. We received it around 20 mins after sitting down and placing our order. Not a good first time impression. My salad - it was very delicious! Nothing too extraordinary or anything. My spouse and his friends food was delicious as they said and looked very average. This was our first visit to this new location. We stopped in on a Friday night and had about a 30-minute wait. Instead of sitting out front and just waiting we decided to spend our time at the bar. There were 4 of us in our party. The bartender was nice and got our drinks to us in a reasonable amount of time. She didn't go out of her way to make conversation or make us feel welcome, which I am guessing was because she was pretty busy and doing her best to keep the bar are somewhat tidy. After about 25 minutes our table was ready. Our server greeted us probably within a minute of sitting down and noticed we had drinks but offered water and to take drink orders if needed. Ah, she also arrived at our table with 4 of those amazing honey butter croissants. There was no chance I was getting a picture of those as the disappeared in seconds. She informed us of the current specials and some of her favorite dishes. Before we ordered our entree's we opted for an app. We chose to go with the Cheddar's Trio Sampler ($10.99), which comes with 4 of their hand-breaded chicken tenders, Santa Fe Spinach Dip, Homemade Queso, salsa and house-made tortilla chips. This was another dish that did not last on our table. Everyone at the table loved all of the items on this app. For my entree, I went with Grilled Salmon and chose the bourbon-glazed options and for my sides, I chose the Broccoli Cheese Casaroul and County Green Beans. That entree with 2 sides is $14.99 and I felt was good value. The flavor of all the items was on point and I would say it was a pretty generous portion. Get the Broccoli Cheese Casaroul, man it is so freakin' good!!! My wife decided to go with the Philly Cheesesteak ($10.99). She said the bread was very good and fresh and while the meat was cooked perfectly, it was way too salty. We all tried a bite and agreed, even the salt lovers. We told our server and she brought my wife 4 chicken tenders to make up for it, which worked just fine for her. The other entrees at the table were a Monte Cristo ($9.99) and a Chicken Pot Pie ($9.99), both of the items arrived at the table as expected and both people eating them thought they were good, but not wowed. I believe our server's name was April. She was very nice, hospitable and took great care of us. She got to know us and made conversation. The cleanliness of the restaurant and bar was lacking. At one point I mentioned to a manager at the host stand that the men's bathroom needed some major attention. When I visited it again a little later, I noticed it got some attention but could have used a little more. The bar area was also messy and not welcoming as there was a lengthy amount of time where several plates and glasses remained on the bar. The menu is large and I looked, and looked, and looked... and I ended up with the pecan chicken salad again. What? I can't help it. It's good. I'd do it again as well. Well, that and the onion rings. I'm usually a fan of Cheddar's, but this new location didn't give me the experience I am used to. Cheddar's is a family style chain owned by Darden with large portions and affordable prices. Service is usually friendly and good and the atmosphere is open and relaxing. Overall, these boxes were checked - with the one big negative being food quality. From squished and "oily" croissants to very gross over cooked and super greasy fries to a really fatty and weird tasting chicken sandwich, this location seems to have some issues in the kitchen that they need to work out. read more

It's a new restaurant and you can tell it is well maintained with its cleanliness. The server came to greet us with the most delicious freshly made croissants with honey butter drizzled over them. We ordered our drinks while deciding what to eat. We ordered the spinach dip, coconut shrimp, the bacon cheeseburger, the salmon with rice and coleslaw, and the Monte Cristo sandwich. Can I say how excited I was for the Monte Cristo? It's such a difficult plate to find in restaurants! It was PERFECTION. All the food was tasty and portions were good. I hadn't been to a Cheddar's in about 16 years. It was an OK experience, but nothing that (obviously) made me want to return. This new Cheddar's in Kissimmee looked pretty nice, so we decided to give it a try when family was in town. There were five of us total and some need chairs vs. booth seating for various reasons (height, leg problems, back problems). The parking lot wasn't very full and the restaurant inside was busy, but not super busy. However, it took almost AN HOUR to be seated. People around us came and went. When we were finally seated, it was in a section where no other people were seated. There were tables and booths aplenty. There was even an additional section next to ours that was completely unused/empty. That's when I realized it was probably a staffing issue. They were only using half of the dining room. Still, the host and/or manager saw we were sitting in the waiting area for almost an hour. We could have been seated in that empty area a long time before and a server could have added one more table (or taken ours instead of being sat with a party of two or four in their station). Anyway, it soured some members of my family's mood, which made for a disappointing dining experience on their last night in town. Our server Emily, though, was very nice and attentive. She greeted us with Honey Butter Croissants, one for each of us. They were delicious and everyone scarfed them down after waiting all that time. They give you the first round of these amazing treats complimentary, but then you can order more (and pay for them). Kind of how drug dealers work. They have flavored iced teas, so I ordered the mango flavored one as my beverage. It was delicious. Unfortunately, it was late in the evening, and I couldn't sleep well that night from the caffeine coursing through my veins. Oops. My bad. The menu has a good variety of choices for different tastes, which makes it kind of good for everyone. A lot of people at my table ordered the Grilled White Fish dinner and really enjoyed it. Another (picky eater) ordered the Chicken Pot Pie and loved it, but it was SO full of chicken, she couldn't eat it all. I'm here now, sitting in the parking lot typing this. 10/09/2021. It is 10:38pm. They close at 11pm. I simply want a cheeseburger to go. Seems reasonable, no? I walk in, have already stood up front for 5 min., a hostess/waitress finally approaches (doesn't look happy to start), I explain I would like to put in a to go order. She states sorry, can't do that, and that I can only put in an order online. I say ok, and I sit down, and start to do so. A couple comes in while I'm starting my mobile order, also ask to put in a to go order, and is told the same thing. So they start trying to do a mobile order. I get into the app, and I notice the app does not allow for me to select "well done" on the burger, only medium. I explain and show this to the hostess still standing there watching over me. She says to hold on, and walks back into what I presume is the kitchen. She comes back, tells me I can't select well done (I know this already) and that the cook has said there is no more to go or mobile ordering allowed. I ask, well then (there are dozens and dozens of people in here), can I go sit in the bar and eat, then? She looks perturbed at me, and reluctantly says yes. I'm thinking, ok, what?? I can't do a to go order. I can't so a mobile order, but I can sit down to eat? That makes ZERO sense. I pause and just shake my head. Clearly, they do not really want the business, but can't force us out since the doors are open and there are so many people inside, and were hoping they could just persuade us to leave though all of this previously. Well, you got your wish...because I know if I now sit down and order, they will be very displeased, and there is a risk of retaliation via messing with my food during preparation. I say "thank you", and we all just walk out. Oh yeah, I've now wasted 25 minutes writing this review, too. But, everyone reading this should know. Dear owner, if you are reading this, your team is costing you money, not just tonight, but more broadly. Bad service reputation persists a lot longer than the night of the incident. I live 2 miles down the road behind your place. Your team has impacted a local, repeat customer. So for now, peace out to Cheddars. There are plenty more options on this road all around you. Improve service, and maybe one day I'll try again. It will not be for a while though.
