Caesar salad and Buffalo fried shrimp
Susan C.

The hostess sat us almost immediately after our arrival on a busy Sunday afternoon, and our meal began with a plate of warm, sweet croissants. Next came a tower of crispy battered onion rings with two dipping sauces. Absolutely yum! I ordered two sides for my entree: Caesar salad and Buffalo fried shrimp. The chilled romaine lettuce was mixed with a Caesar dressing and topped with a perfect amount of shaved Parmesan cheese and toasted croutons. Oh, and my shrimp--it was cooked to perfection and seasoned just right with Buffalo sauce and a ramekin of Ranch dressing. My spouse ordered a Monte Cristo sandwich where the meat and cheese had been expertly tucked inside hollowed-out French-type rolls. They were sprinkled with powdered sugar and served alongside a ramekin of what he said was some of the best strawberry jam he's tried. He chose a cheesy broccoli casserole for his side and had no complaints with that. Brooke, our server, kept on her toes with a roomful of diners, treated us as though we were the only patrons in the restaurant. She checked back with us several times, cleared used dishes off the table and filled drink glasses. Another couple dined with us, and the restaurant seemed in no hurry to turn our table. We sat and chatted for several minutes after finishing our meal. We will return.

The croissants are delicious. The pasta was good too. I didn't love the cheese dip and chips but the other food was good. The chocolate cake was huge. It was good with the ice cream, but by itself too rich for me. Service was good, our server was nice and conversational when he had time to chat between tables. We like the waterfall at the front and the fish tank. The ambiance is nice.

Good food, I had the bourbon glazed salmon with veggies. Very friendly staff. Love love the croissants

Food was very good snd the service was good as well. Only thing is the booths are really dirty and the machines in the tables need to be cleaned.

The specials offered that day at Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen - 8390 Kingston Pike Knoxville TN

Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen is on Kingston Pike just below Bearden High School at the corner of Kingston Pike and Gallaher View Road. The have a wonderful menu with a wide variety of options, including my favorite, a chicken pot pie. We went for lunch and we're served mouth watering croissants with a honey, buttery glaze. They were light and fluffy and melted in your mouth. Meals were about $10-15; very reasonable for the area. We enjoyed a quiet meal and were able to talk and eat comfortably. Our waitress was excellent and the food was served quickly and steaming hot. Follow me on Yelp for more places to dine and shop in the Knoxville and East Tennessee area.

my husband and i went twice to cheddars. i can be a really really picky individual and it can take me a while to come up with something to eat. cheddars was incredible and i knew what i wanted in a matter of minutes. our service was awesome both times, we had a quiet girl the first time and a little bit more of an extroverted one the second time. i am horrible at names, please excuse me :( but i had a chicken pot pie that was so perfectly salted. like you know sometimes how it can come out SO SALTY because of the dough and the chicken and the mirage or veggies and stuff? THIS was perfect. the whole PLACE was perfect. even when it was busy? it was quiet. and i like quiet. i'm from chicago and sometimes all im looking for a in a restaurant was quiet. Cheddars in Knoxville was absolutely just that and i wish cheddars was in chicago / chicagoland.

The food was really nondescript, very unappealing and the service was just as bad. We will not return.

Great service, good food and made it in time for the $8.99 special: eight specials from regular menu.

That said, I immensely enjoyed every single one. i got a skewer, rice, an order of pork gyoza, and a mushroom soup. The gyoza and rice were the most filling, but not as flavorful as the soup and skewer. It was all so good that I had to try one of their ice creams, which was a pistachio rose thing which was bomb. All in all, I will be back. P.S. Service was ok (came in suoer late) and was nearly empty and the ambiance was nice but didn't stand out beside their nice patio.

We were seated right away, but our table had a spill that was acknowledged and never cleaned. Service overall was inconsistent--drinks and rice took multiple asks, and items like side plates and dipping bowls never arrived. Food was hit or miss. Soup dumplings were the standout, and skewers were good (just very small). Everything else ranged from underwhelming to overly sweet, especially the duck pie. Overall, the experience felt subpar--both in service and flavor. I was expecting richer, fresher dishes and left pretty disappointed. Maybe it was an off night, but based on this visit, we wouldn't rush back.

Not a big breakfast fan but I had to find a casual place to meet someone for brunch. Maple Street…read morewas a good choice. I ordered The Farmer, a chicken biscuit with cheese, bacon, and apple butter. The biscuit was warm and fresh, the bacon was crispy, and the chicken patty was quite substantial. The poor thing was drowning in apple butter though, which made it too wet (and too sweet). Even scraping some of it off it was already too soggy. A tad less sauce and it would be perfectly balanced. The smashbrowns had a nice crisp and I enjoyed the kick of the pepper jam. Also, big fan of the cute coffee bar. I could taste the hints of maple in the coffee. If I have to eat out for breakfast, Maple Street seems to be a good choice. And yes, this location is on Kingston Pike not Maple Street.

Unfortunate for me though, I had to sit right under an air conditioning duct. I bet that the gentlemen were wishing that it was my girlfriend who had that seat. (I think you get the points.) Our meals were as fresh as can be, and tasty too. We had no problem cleaning our plates. It was fairly crowded when we got there. But if you don't mind sharing a table, you'll find a spot for sure. There's outside seating if you like. Quick Tip: Get there early, or get there late, cause if you get there during prime chow down, you'll be lucky to find a seat. Even the cold zone will be occupied. You may want to wear a bra....Just in case.
