My husband and I love this place! There is always great service. We try to go before the dinner rush to avoid a wait. Even when we have to wait it is very quick. The atmosphere is just peaceful and warm like home. The hostess was a bit unorganized but we still were seated quickly, as long as you are not picky about your seat. The mango tea is just delicious. I drank about four glasses of tea, my server gave great recommendations. My husband loved the onion rings because it is like a mountain. Good food at a good price but terrible experience with Brian the manager; don't even care to go back for fear of running into the dufus! And we used to go there at least 2 Sunday's a month after church but there are just too many restaurants to eat at and have a BAD manager! And this is after a nice manager went through a lot of trouble for me and I tipped the waitress 200%! And once you lose a customer it's hard to get them back. My girlfriend and I go to Cheddar Webster often and love it. We decided to try this location and was utterly shocked with the dirtiness of this restaurant. Upon entering the bar area there were several plates and used glasses stacked on and behind the bar. As I searched for a table at minimum 5 tables and 3 high tables still had dirty dishes from previous guest. It looked a mess. So I went to use the restroom and trash was overflowing in 3 different stalls and the trash can by the door. Feminine product bins were also overflowing. I immediately went to the bar and told the bartender the restrooms need to be attend to because they were filthy. She tells me they are short handed and had the same problem yesterday. I explained that it is unacceptable for a restaurant to present in this manner and that even the tables weren't being bussed. I was ready to leave but my friend was willing to give them a chance. Reluctantly we ordered food and had a decently long wait but no biggie they were a bit busy. I finally get my food and it looks like it had been sitting under the heat lamp so the lettuce was wilted and the chicken was dry. The plate even looked dirty. My girlfriend got her chicken tenders which were dry and her croissants had TWO long strands of hair on them. So the manager Doug comes over and I tell him all of the above and he seemed a nonchalant about our experience just stating this is a busy time for them. So they sent out new croissants and a new salad. The only thing we enjoyed was the Sangria. To top it off the only accommodation the manager made was to offer us a free dessert. We declined because we rather not continue to eat food from a filthy establishment. He didn't even remove the croissants from my friends tab. She couldn't even eat the new ones because of the thought of the hair being on the others. I felt our food should have received some sort of discount but I guess we were just some complaining customers. I will never return to this location. Tried it again because the rest of the family wanted to stop by. We get there and the manager (unexperienced by the sound of it) starts off by saying they cant fit a party of 11. So we say okay, we'll be fine in adjacent booths or tables. We get quoted a 30 minute wait when we're looking at two booths (a corner bigger booth and a regular 4 top). We go up to the podium and ask them if we can sit in different booths and the smart ass manager tells us "so you'd be fine with one sitting on one end of the restaurant and another on the other end?" We could've fit into the two booths with 4 adults on the 4 top and 5 adults & 2 kids on the corner booth that normally sits 6-full sized adults. After all the back & forth with the argumentative smart ass manager with no common sense, we decided to leave and go eat somewhere else. The horde of waiters and waitresses standing around the front with nothing to do while customers are being quoted a 30 minute wait isn't a good look fyi. read more

I dine in on May 10, 2018 to celebrate mothers day. We arrived at 6:55pm my dad went up to the hostess to put our name down, the hostess gave him a 45 minute wait time, which we were ok since my mom wanted to eat there. It was 7:10pm and they still had not seated us, I went to the hostess and ask what was going on since it had been more than 45 minutes. I guess the manager was there which did not seem like one, he sarcastically said, No, they gave him an 1:30hr wait I was like ummm weird other ppl that was before us went inside already. 7:40 came and finally sat us, the waiter comes and took our order and all. Time went by and around 8:40 he comes and tell us sorry guys the system didn't print ya food in the kitchen could ya give me order again.... by that time I was pissed. My MOM which we were celebrating end up not eating after all and we got our food like 30 minutes later. Did the manager came by and said some nope! Did anyone else came to see if we needed anything or show interest? Nope! I dine in this restaurant at least 6 times a month! First time I encounter this issue! When it was time to pay did the manager came by or anything nope, until I asked for him! All I said was "hey I dont mine paying the bill, but do you think is ok for my mom to not eat when we came to celebrate her day! Or is it ok that you didn't came by to check if everything was good?? And plus the waiter forgot to put our food! All the manager said was like ok, and did not show any instrest. Definitely not coming back for a while! My daughter and I enjoyed every bite of our food /she had the combo of half club sandwich and a baked potato - excellent and I had the vegetable plate. Lots of food and delicious. Horrible service. I had heard bad comments about here but I didn't believe them until I went. It was a table of 6 and after the appetizers the food never came. We were there for 1hr and we were trying to be patient and wait but once we reached the 1hr30min we left. There were eight of us. Out of the eight one person liked one of the three appetizers the table split. Two person kinda liked their dinner. Out of those two one had diarrhea and vomiting for hours because of the meal. Stay away. It's gross at best and will make you ill at worst. The server was really good. I've been here lots of times with family. They're usually picky eaters but even they like this place. The croissants are buttery and sweet. The ribs are crispy on the outside and tender in the middle. The chocolate fudge cake is decadent. Margaritas and Pain Killer are my favorite drinks here. I've eaten at Cheddar's in NC where I'm from and have always loved it! Wanted to introduce a coworker to it while we were here in Houston and was not disappointed. We sat at the bar and were waited on by Katie. She was awesome! There is a fish tank behind the bar which creates an amazing atmosphere. He had the ribs and shrimp, I had the burger with the honey mayo which was scrumptious! The food was not great! I ordered a plain baked potato and got loaded potato. The mushrooms were can mushrooms and they were cold. The plate they gave me for my baked potato was smaller than my hand, so my food fell off the plate. They should say some where on the menu that the house salad comes with eggs, because I was really grossed out that it did. The beer I got was flat. The table was dirty when we sat down. My wife ordered fried chicken and the breading was falling off the chicken and her green beans were also canned. It was just nasty and we won't be going back there again! read more

Okay the best thing on the menu is the Wisconsin cheese bites. You have to try them to honor JJ Watt's home state. Also love the chicken fried chicken the mixed appetizer plate and the street tacos when they have them. This is a great place to take your family. My husband and I love to eat here, so close to our home and they make you feel like celebrities when you visit. Always smiling and friendly. The spinach dip as an appetizer is the best around and my husband loves the large serving of chicken fried steak. I always get the salmon, which is cooked perfect every time. The prices here compared to Chili's, Applebee's and similar spots is much better and easier on our budget. Nothing bad to say, we go about 3-4 times every month, and have been for the past 6 months ! Terrible service, mediocre food and a long wait. I have no idea why people like this place. I've been twice- the first time was when they first opened so I was more understanding. The last time I went was absolutely horrid. I went with my son and I will never go back. After a long wait, we were seated next to the kitchen (the waiters hangout). Besides all the kitchen activity, the staff stood behind our booth to hide. They were using profanity and laughing a lot. No biggie really- we are not a "G" family, so it wasn't a huge deal, but HAD we been... The food came after having two different servers (apparently the first one was done with her shift) . Here goes the real kicker: about halfway through our meal the entire staff, two or three at a time (literally everyone), would sneak their heads around the booth to peer at something and giggle. It was uncomfortable. Finally after about 20 people looking over my son's head (he didn't notice), I asked what appeared to be a manager what the deal was. He sneered, "There is a reflection on the glass that looks like a ghost." This said without making eye contact and staring at the ghost. It sounds like it would be funny, but it really wasn't. I normally would go with the flow maybe even participate, but this was one of those rare times when my son and I get to go out alone and catch up with each other. I didn't want to make a big scene of complaining, so we just quietly finished the "sub-Bennigan's" type food and left. The more I thought about it, I decided to do something about it. I found the corporate website and filled out a negative comment. I never heard from them. Then a week or so later I thought, "Maybe they didn't get the complaint", so I filed another one. Nothing. This crappy service and corporate disregard just leads me to believe that these folks do not care about a diner's experience. No more of my hard earned money. It's too bad, however, that this is acceptable, even the norm, in my part of town. We do not have a huge selection of restaurants out here, so poor food and service are tolerated. After reading the reviews for this location, I honestly wasn't sure what to expect. Went here with the in-laws last night while hubby was at work. They were on a wait when we got there, but it went very quickly, and we were sat in about 10 minutes. The restaurant was beautiful inside and the bar was very nice. We got cocktails, I got a sangria-frozen margarita swirl. It was $3.50 on the menu menu and it was huge! The prices are all really good. We got Edamame and spinach dip as apps. The spinach dip was very yummy and the edamame were cooked perfectly with a soy ginger sauce on the side along with some toasted spices for dipping. When I was walking to the bathroom I saw people eating the onion rings and they looked delicious. For dinner my mother in law got ribs, which were delicious, my father in law got the Dijon chicken, which another reviewer had complained about, but it was great. Not over sauced at all and the chicken was two boneless skinless breasts, not "preformed chicken patties" as suggested by the other reviewer. The broccoli was fresh and not overcooked, which is a huge plus for me, I hate mushy veggies! And the loaded baked potato was the perfect size. My son got catfish with fries and Apple yogurt salad, which was so yummy and he ate every bite of the fish. My daughter got a kid grilled cheese, which was great as well. I had the sirloin off of the light menu. It was perfectly cooked, the wedge salad it was served with was fresh, and the dressing was good. For dessert my daughter got the individual strawberry cheesecake dessert, which she said was really good, and we got a monster cookie sundae and the chocolate croissant bread pudding. I'm not a huge bread pudding fan, but this sounded so delicious that I had to try it. I was so glad I did. It was probably one of the best bread puddings I have had, and I have had bread puddings at a couple of different 5 star fine dining restaurants. It was a large piece studded with chocolate chips, with caramel sauce drizzled on the plate and topped with vanilla ice cream. The monster cookie sundae was awesome as well. The cookie was warm with a hint of salty that was perfect. The staff was very nice, our server was really good, she had lots of good suggestions when I asked her for advice on what to order. Food and drinks came out quickly, the desserts took the longest, but it wasn't that big of a deal. My father in law is a long time hotel and restaurant owner and before moving here my husband and I ran one of his locations, so you can trust me when I say I am very picky about all aspects of a dining experience. I also understand that sometimes restaurants have off days, as it appears that Cheddars has according to some other reviews. But this was a very good experience, and I typically am not a huge fan of this type of restaurant (I like fine dining, eclectic, not family-friendly, but when you've got the kiddos, what are you gonna do, right?)I will definitely come back here, & would recommend it to others! read more

This is one of my favorite place to eat in Pasadena, i had the opportunity to enjoy the new item on the menu blackened red fish sandwich, it was delicious and fresh,with tomatoes, fresh pickles, cajun sauce... the only think I was missing was avocado. Probably one of the worst experiences at Cheddars I've ever had to endure. We come in to the hostess playing on her phone, wait maybe 15 seconds for her to get off of it (which she doesn't, because apparently her text message is way more important), so I say "hello, I'd like a table for three." Awesome, we get to our booth and we aren't greeted until about 10 minutes later after sitting, mind you it's not all that busy, it's Christmas Eve at about 7:30. She gets our drink, appetizer, and entree order and we're content. Food took a little while to come out but we gave the benefit of the doubt due to the holiday. Overall the food was delicious, although not as hot as we would've liked, it's ok. We get our Togo boxes, pay and head out the door. We did not receive a "have a nice night" or even a "happy holidays" from the hostesses. I've been a hostess at more than three places, and the lack of charisma/respect those girls had was just sad. Cheddars, I would definitely look into getting different girls to represent you as the first and last impression you have in your restaurant. Very disappointing. read more

Thursday 11/19/15 Cheddars was my go to stop... If I go back it will b to a different location the last 2 times has been bad experience from the waiter to the food!!! The waiter had an attitude because the last customers didn't leave him a tip so he took it out on us... We order the triple treat the chicken tenders was ok the cheese bites was good the potato skin was cold, cheese wasn't melted & the bacon was semi raw we asked him if he can get the kitchen to give us another order potato skins he said let me ask my manager, 3 minutes later he came back with some that was worst... We sat it to the side because I didn't want to get rude & throw it at him!!! So our food comes out the fries r soggy my sister had a club sandwich it was ice cold & the bacon was semi raw he says our sandwiches r served cold so that way it's cold & the bacon looks fully cook to me, we ask for a manager... After waiting 30 minutes no one show up we paid the ticket & left no tip... his tip is the amount we paid for the club sandwich since it wasn't removed from our ticket but Pain Killer was AMAZING like always!!! read more

The food is always delicious, but I will never drink anything besides a bottled beer here. Since they first opened, I have tried several of their cocktails which all were extremely weak. Last time I went, I ordered a shot of Jameson and it was so watered down I couldn't even taste the liquor. Their margaritas taste only like sweet & sour (with way too much sour). The bottle of Jack Daniels sitting on the shelf was basically completely clear, and my friends shots of Kraken Rum and Patron were also watered down. I asked the bartender about it and he simply told me that HE doesn't water them down, but someone might be. Complaining even to a manager won't get you anywhere when in regards to liquor.
