Usually always love the food. We got the Wisconsin cheese curds to start out, as were from the area, but the grease was old and it came through in the curds. They were really really greasy too. The bartender that night wasn't friendly at all either. She did however ask one time how our food was on our last course, never asked with our curds and then didn't again with our soup, which was delicious. Our main course that we split was on point.. make it a point to tip 20% but this time we left a $3 if that lets you know how our service was. read more

I have heard pretty good things about this restaurant so I decided to try it out. Waited about 5mins for a hostess to arrive at the front not sure if she was on a bathroom break or what. Once she got back we were seated immediately which was a plus. Waitress was nice since it was my first time there she kept giving me time to look over the menu but checked back periodically. I ordered the Texas T-Bone which in the description it states ..."16 oz. is well marbled, juicy and grilled to perfection. Topped with garlic butter for extra flavor." Asked for it medium well. It came with 2 sides and I ordered 2 more red beans & rice, loaded mashed potatoes, string beans, and corn. I'll come back to the food let me talk about the drinks and apps. Ordered a strawberry iced tea which was horrible. No biggie I asked if I could switch it out for a root beer she said ok AND took the tea back. Texas Margarita was pretty sweet not that great but ok to drink. Croissant appetizer was about the best thing I had. Spinach dip was just ok. Ok now let's get back to this T-Bone. I know the meat is fire grilled but that doesn't mean I want to taste burnt meat in every bite. Medium well is not dry and burnt! Nicely told the waitress (which I hate sending food back) but I had to. She came put it on another plate and went to talk to the manager for me. Came back and said the manager said if they cook it again it'll still be the same so you just want us to take it off? Hungry as I was I just said yes to prevent more disappointment. Sides were ok but the corn never came out. Check comes and boom they took the steak off but had the nasty tea I didn't drink and the corn I didn't receive on the ticket. I'm a little agitated at this point but I'm still kind because the server was very nice. I tell her then she comes back with the corn to go! Ma'am I don't want the corn to go I'm not even taking ANY food with me. She leaves again comes back and says the manager couldn't do it on the register so here's $5bucks for your refund. I'm befuddled at this point! I left that $5 and $5 more for her tip and just left. Looked at the receipt after I'm gone and the drink & corn add up to about $7bucks not even $5. Cheddar's is unbelievable. First off, the bartender, Andrew, was so attentive and was wonderful with bringing us our drinks and food. He made sure to check on us and make sure we had everything we needed and did not hesitate to grab whatever else was needed. His tricks behind the bar while making drinks are also awesome! Erika was also so awesome and so sweet as well and was awesome at checking on us. A well done job! The service was phenomenal. Second, the food is delicious and fresh. Recently opened so not going to be too harsh. Never been to a Cheddars before so wanted to try it out. Menu options are appealing and has much potential to improve. Service was ok. Wait time to be seated was practically instant so that's a plus. Server was friendly. Food took a long time to come out but that wasn't too surprising given the earlier reviews. The food was mediocre to below average at best. Ribs had potential, but didn't taste fresh and most of it was also too dry. The country fried steak was recommended by our server over the chicken pot pie but sadly, it was one of the worst versions I've ever had. The off-seasoned meat had a chewy and pasty texture and was rather disappointing. Decent service, generous portions for the price and nice, clean environment though. So hopefully they can tweak some of the problems with kitchen staff and garner some better reviews before we consider coming back. read more

Went out to dinner with the family and wanted to try this new restaurant in our area. I had the Ribeye and my wife had the chicken tenders. The food came out quickly and was delicious. It tasted as if the ingredients were fresh and not frozen. Everything we ate was delicious. Also the service was excellent and the restaurant was clean. My review is only for takeout as I've yet to eat at the restaurant. I've ordered twice and my food's been ready on time and the quality once I've gotten home has been excellent. Take out isn't always great because by the time you get it home, nothing tastes as it should. That wasn't the case here. The fries were crispy as were the chicken tenders. Gotta say I'm majorly disappointed as to how fast this place has gone down hill since opening. My family and I were one of the first to try this place upon opening and I can tell you everything was exactly as expected and service was phenomenal - you could not have a better dining experience. Fast forward a couple of months later and every time we visit, usually to go curbside, there are missing items or totally wrong item, food quality isn't the same anymore - for instance the ribs. Keep getting smaller and dryer. That 20% bigger sales pitch is diminishing fast! And croissants? What croissants? Lucky to get them on every other order if you're lucky. Ridiculous. Pretty disappointing given we were excited to have something other than Flannigan's in the area. Guess we are headed back to old reliable Flannigan's. read more

Just ate here today around 2pm. Our server was Craig and our hostess was Veresa, both employees were super friendly and personable. The food industry is a difficult one to be in so for both Craig and Veresa have such an outstanding personality was so nice to see, they went over and beyond to make us feel welcomed as customers. Veresa welcomed us when we walked in and had great small talk, she has such a positive vibe it makes you excited to be eating at Cheddars. Craig was very efficient, super helpful, and was knowledgeable. Overall I couldn't ask for better customer service during my dining experience. The chips were not even as good as bagged chips, not saying much. Spinach dip was dry and salty. Nacho dip didnt taste like cheese soup not dip. Not cheesey enough, weaker in flavor like a soup. Chicken tenders were average. Definitely a high salt meal. Salsa tasted like it came out of a can. Such a beautiful building. Great anticipation of new dining choices in this quadrant of town, but Cheddar striked out. Management was attentive, apologetic and said they would address the issue. I have never been to this establishment but believe me I WILL BE COMING BACK! Especially if it's too be seated at Andrews section. This was possibly the best service I have ever experienced in my time dining out. He was attentive and considerate. Made sure everything was perfect. He was very knowledgeable of the menu and made sure everything came out as ordered. He would constantly check in on us and he would never allow for a water cup to be empty. I will definitely be a regular just to experience such 5 star service. We sat at the bar and usually I never experienced great see at a bar but Andrew definitely changed my perspective. And let me tell he can MAKE DRINKS like it's nobodies business. Well we who are probably the most generous tippers around. Sat at an empty bar with two female bartenders or possibly one manager and one bartender. While they sat there and had a conversation and never bothered to acknowledge us, not even a glance. We spent our time there to plan on where we would go to get served. (Village Tavern is a great place to go.) Cheddar's has terrible service, what a shame, it's a beautiful bar and restaurant that is right down the street.
