On today's adventure, we find ourselves at an old favorite of mine; "Cheddars". As you enter you are cordially greeted and taken to your seat. It wasn't too busy on this day, so we were sat down promptly. You notice a good amount of seating as you walk in and the usual large fish tank that always brings a calmness to the restaurant. You're politely asked what you'll have to drink as you choose your meal. And to get the appetite started they bring a buttery croissant that is definitely a good treat. Cheddars has a good amount to choose from, I choose the Fish and Shrimp meal, the dish came with sides, I choose the broccoli casserole and with fries as well, the whole meal was absolutely delicious. The people that atmosphere make this a wonderful place for a great meal. I highly recommend this place.

We went & had lunch here today. My only complaint is that the wait was kind of long for not being crowded . Our waitress Jocelyn was really nice and a tentative to our needs. She was really on top of things and I greatly appreciate that. I ordered the bacon cheeseburger hamburger and it was amazing, my company had the chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and he said that was really good as well. Food was really good. Just it took a while to come out.

Fresh salad did not disappoint ranch dressing was tasty, large portion! Ate the whole thing!

Thursday evening I'd say around five.. greeted with a smile and I needed a quiet space. Excellent spot. Diane L was my server and made my evening so pleasant and she had such a wonderful sense of humor great conversation and with a smile each time she came over to my table! Impeccable customer service! Ask for her you won't be disappointed. I was initially served a croissant that was beyond dreamy! So light and delicious! My salad of choice was house with ranch very fresh and tasty! My main entrée was the full rack of ribs which did not disappoint. They were fall off the bone delicious sauced up so well so tender each bite was heavenly! I asked who the cook was and they said his name was John. I would hire him for my backyard barbecue actually! lol. I was so pleased with the rack of ribs , I took home a full rack to my son to go! A pleasant experience and a wonderful night! Definitely going back and the full rack of ribs will never disappoint! Ambience Pleasing. A+

The buffalo chicken strips had a strong taste. The fries and coleslaw tasted great to add. I'd recommend to friends for lunches.

if you havent stopped by william's confectionery you are MISSING OUT!…read more breakfast! yum! lunches! yum! desserts YUMMMMM! service is always fast & friendly. nice atmosphere and you can tell the "locals" treasure this spot. first time trying lunch (hard to pass up those light fluffy biscuits with breakfast - upgrade from toast for .50 last time i asked. thursday lunch had pork chops, smothered (and i think fried or grilled, i quit reading after SMOTHERED!) came with rice & gravy, greens and pineapple casserole. it was an insult to the chop for a knife to be provided. although this chop was huge, and thick, it was FORK tender! gravy was delicious too, not that gloppy dark brown stuff, but nicely textured, extremely tasty homemade sauce. greens - perfection. i wasnt sure about the pineapple casserole, it wasnt something i was familiar with. seemed to be a combo of pineapple chunks, shredded cheese with a crunchy topping. sounded like an unusual combo, but it was tasty. always fun to find something new. grabbed EXTRA greens to go with my leftover pork chop along with a raspberry bar & my fave chess pie for hubbie & i to share later.

The positives first: the food was hot, fresh, and clearly made to order, which we always appreciate. The display case was filled with beautiful, tempting desserts that definitely caught our attention. If you have a sweet tooth, that alone might make the stop worthwhile. The breakfast menu leans toward classic, home-style staples--pancakes, hash browns, eggs, sausage--simple and familiar comfort food. While everything was prepared well, nothing particularly stood out or felt unique compared to other traditional breakfast spots. Service during our visit was a bit slow and didn't feel especially warm or attentive. The staff appeared to be family-run, which often adds charm to a place, but we didn't experience the kind of welcoming, lively atmosphere you might expect from a family-style restaurant. It seemed like everyone may have just been having a long day. My husband usually prefers Tex-Mex or breakfast tacos, and since I don't indulge in bacon and eggs very often, I tend to look for a breakfast spot that really wows us when we do go that route. While Williams delivered solid, made-to-order food, it just didn't quite "hit it out of the park" for us this time. That said, every restaurant can have an off morning, and others may have a different experience--especially given the positive reviews that brought us in.

As soon as I saw the Monte Cristo sandwich I knew that's what I wanted. My husband ordered country fried chicken (sauce on the side) and onion rings with a side of mac & cheese. My Monte cristo unfortunately, was too greasy and it was deep fried so thick with batter. I only ate half of it. The waffle fries were good. Overall it was ok. Service wasn't the greatest. Not always in the mood for chicken and waffles, but this place has more than just that. So I was really happy to find that out. I got the fried chicken sandwich, big piece of boneless white meat chicken. Lettuce tomato and pickles. A sweet bun. My wife got the two piece fried chicken, very crisp and moist. It came with red potatoes salad. My wife loved it, but it has a sweet taste to it. I like mustard based potato salad. They have koolaid, yeah. Full bar. Clean place. Plenty of parking and plenty of seating. We were told that Sunday after church is busy, we went on a Saturday around 1pm, not too busy.

How can you relax and have a conversation with your friends or a date if you can't hear yourselves think? The service is nonexistent and that's fine because it's your basic fast food concept. Not a problem. However, the food is more industrial based than true Texas BBQ. My brisket was very dry. They slather a lot of BBQ sauce on top of your meat. Why? Because the meat is either old or dry or both. Mine was very dry. The beans were drenched in sugar. The Mac and Cheese lacked (cheese) taste. We love good BBQ. This is not good BBQ. Compare to the Burnt Bean in Sequin and you will understand. The burnt bean runs out of product leaving long lines for their food; it's real BBQ, fresh homemade food. You can taste it.

The building is easy to find, situated next to Randolph Dental and across the street from Take 5 Oil Change. Parking is straightforward. The restaurant shares an outdoor lot with several neighboring businesses, and there was plenty of parking directly in front, including clearly marked handicapped spaces, plus an additional row across from the restaurant. Inside, the space is open, comfortable, and very clean. The interior seating is well maintained, and staff were consistently attentive to keeping the dining area tidy throughout the visit. The setup feels relaxed and inviting, and it is also nice to see that outdoor seating is available if you prefer fresh air. The food was excellent. I ordered the veggie omelette with added avocado and turkey, which was savory and well balanced. The hash browns were well seasoned with a good pepper profile, and the white chocolate latte stood out in particular. It did not have the artificial syrup aftertaste that is common at many places, which made it especially enjoyable. Service is what truly made the visit stand out. Jacqueline was friendly, attentive, and helpful from start to finish. She checked in at the right moments, answered questions without rushing, and kept everything running smoothly. As a thoughtful bonus, I was also given an extra pastry, which was a pleasant surprise and a great example of genuine hospitality. If you are looking for a casual breakfast or coffee spot with a clean environment, quality food, and staff who clearly care about the customer experience, Biscuit House is well worth a visit. Keep up the great work, Jacqueline and Biscuit House Schertz.
