    Chimchurry nachos
    Stephanie N.

I invited Cheddr Wheel to be a part of a community event to sell their food. As the organizer, I had to email/connect with the owner several times and he was very professional and quickly responded to all of my messages and emails! Great to work with you if you are looking to invite a food truck to your local event! As a foodie, I invited Cheddar Wheel because I wanted to try their chimichurri nachos! Let me tell you the chimichurri meat did not disappoint! Great portion size and the sauce on top was my favorite part. The only thing is I wish the nachos had real melted cheese instead of canned nacho cheese. My boyfriend ordered the basil pesto quesadilla and a side of the garlic tater tots, although he did like the quesadilla the star of the show was the tater tots! They were fried to perfection and as a garlic lover, they were very flavorful! I got a lot of positive reviews from our staff and visitors. I did not get to try their vegan quesadilla however I heard it was the first item to sell out so it must have been really good. Overall great customer service and good food!

Amazing!!! I follow Cheddr Wheel on Instagram just to see if I'm close enough for lunch time... that's how delicious these quesadillas are. I had the Greek Mediterranean quesadilla and the corn covered in hot Cheetos. Cheddr Wheel is... * Clean *Customer service is on point *Quick service *They offer a variety of quesadillas *Creative with food ie.(hot cheeto corn) ya! *Food tastes great and fresh The quesadillas have a branded image of their logo, I found that to be cute, and creative. I would definitely eat here again or book an event with them. Any lunch truck this clean deserves 5 stars.

This was my second time eating their food. I had their buffalo chicken quesadilla with a side of tater tots. Food was great and so was the service.

    Pesto quesadilla!

I noticed this food truck near Ocean and Queen Mary's Way/Magnolia and was delighted to see that they specialized in quesadillas. I decided to try the pesto quesadilla--it was so delicious, replete with sun-dried tomatoes and with the freshest pesto sauce drizzled on. I recently tried the most popular quesadilla, Chimmichurri. Hands down the richer of the two I've tried, but still delicious. If you don't want to splurge too much on calories and want to get more fiber in your meal, I recommend the Pesto. My coworker found them on Instagram (their handle is /cheddrwheel) and you can use insta to find out where they're located. The regular quesadillas seem to be pesto, chimmichurri, Mediterranean and BBQ but I'm looking forward to trying the chicken mole and the wine & cheese quesadillas. This is definitely one of the best options for food in the DT LB area! P.s. They have elote too!

Pesto Chicken Quesadilla. A Pesto Lover's Dream.

I tried their chicken pesto quesadilla. It has Shredded chicken smothered in pesto sauce, sun dried tomatoes, spinach, fresh mozzarella, all in a Roma tomato tortilla. The guy taking orders said it was his favorite chicken quesadilla so I had to try it. It surprisingly came with some tater tots that were golden fried crisp. I enjoyed them. The quesadilla though is not a joke. BEWARE those who kind of like Pesto. You have to really like Pesto to eat this. Thankfully, I do, so I thoroughly enjoyed it. It had so much chicken and cheese, I only could eat half of the quesadilla and I was hungry. I would reccomend this and I want to try more of their food for sure!

This was what became of my nachos that were drenched in cheese...yuck!

The hubby and I were excited to visit a new brewery, Mt. Lowe, and even happier to see that they had a food truck that were right up our taste alley...cheddar! That is where the excitement ended. I went to make my order, as I walked up, the gentleman in the truck was walking out into the bar. The young lady was in the truck with her back to the order window. I waited a second or two and then said, "good afternoon"...to which she responded, "what can I get you?". Hmmm... I ordered the Chimichurri Steak quesadilla and the Chimichurri nachos, paid with my card and the lady asked where we were sitting in the brewery so she could deliver the food. I told her we were sitting at the bar in front of the televisions. 20 minutes later, I saw the young lady walk by us, out the door on her phone. 30 minutes later, I went to the truck to ask about our food. She stated that they were just waiting on the quesadilla...? 30 minutes to make nachos and a quesadilla....really? So, I asked to get the nachos so we could start eating, so, she made the nachos in front of me. I thought I was just waiting on the quesadilla? Then she asked me to remind her where were sitting again...still at the bar. I walked back to the bar, started on the nachos and 10 minutes later (now 40 total) we received the quesadilla and the statement, "thank you for waiting" (was I given the choice?). The nachos were disgusting, they were soaked in cheese that soggied the chips and created a glob of yuck. The quesadilla was just okay, not fantastic, not bad. But, for $21 dollars for these two items, I expected something better. (The portions were pretty average). Overall, yuck! Oh, forgot to mention that we were the only order at the time...they were not busy, still can't figure out a 40 minute wait.

I don't get it, overpriced. At least offer up food that is better than what you can make at home.

We had family in town and needed a last minute reservation on a Sunday for 12 people. The qualifications: AC and delicious food. Panxa Cocina fit all of the above and the entire squad left the restaurant raving about their experience. Our crew shared a bit of everything fried squash, queso, ceviche, enchiladas, and their verde chilaquiles with over easy eggs and chicken. Each of these items were delicious, but I'd return for the ceviche and chilaquiles. The ceviche was a delicious mix of sweet and salty. Their tortilla chips are made fresh in-house and paired perfectly with the fresh cut fish. I was also impressed by their cocktails. With family in town, we visited a number of fan-favorite restaurants across the coastline. Panxa stole the show for best mixed drink: the watermelon margarita. Excited to live so close and make this a consistent haunt.

I stopped by on a Friday afternoon and waited about 20 minutes for a table. The wait was well worth it because each dish offered an explosion of flavors. My favorite dish was the birria, with the salmon ceviche as a close second. The mole was great too, but I'd say the other two dishes were more memorable and something I'd return for. I can't recommend the birria enough, as the flavors were reminiscent of what I've had in Mexico, very authentic. The space is small and can feel a bit tight, but sometimes the best food comes from these types of "hole in the wall" places. Ultimately, I'd say give Lola's a try! The soup here lacks the tastebud awakening zip that Don Chato's has. The ono fish taco experience was my fault... I hate fried fish taco, so I had lofty expectations, but due to the fact that I do not prefer corn tortillas, guacamole or raw onions, led to much disappointment since It has all three. Totally my fault. The butternut enchilada was lacking in the expected savoriness... this is being polite. The potato taquito was okay... but I am not a taquito person, so if you are I would seriously encourage you to try it. The star of the table was the Mexican corn. It may not compete with Cornman in Lincoln Heights, but it was decent. I scraped off the onions and toppings on the ono tacos, put the fish on the flour tortillas that another person didn't want, and topped the fish with refried beans, street corn and a but if the chicken tortilla soup broth to make due. When you are driving more than 30 minutes for this experience, I think you would agree that it was less that a proper way to celebrate a birthday. Oh and if there isn't any street parking. It'll cost you about 9 bucks in the lot. I didn't use the restroom, so I cant review its cleanliness. Our waitress was flawless taking orders and delivering food The restaurant itself has a great layout and an outdoor courtyard complete with propane heaters and umbrellas - I loved that... but my favorite part was out front, no not the seating area in the former parking spaces, nope... it was the collapsed woman on the sidewalk, walking her dog with snot running out of her nose because she was huffing some aerosol can of whatever. This truly set the mood upon arrival. Two stars for being close to a lot of other food choices to visit afterward.

This is one of those places where you know exactly what you're going to get every time--great food and excellent service. The service is consistently excellent. The staff is attentive, friendly, and does a great job of checking on the table without being overbearing. Their salsa is probably some of the freshest and best I've ever had. It has great flavor and is one of the things I look forward to every time I come here. My absolute favorite is their green chile pork, which I get as a chile verde wet burrito. It is outstanding. I honestly haven't tried a huge portion of the menu because when I find something I really like, I tend to stick with it--and their chile verde wet burrito is just too good for me to pass up. That said, I've also had their ceviche, which is very good, along with their hard-shell tacos. Even the basics like the rice and beans are consistently good. I try to make it to Enrique's at least once a month, and after dozens of visits, they continue to deliver. Consistency means a lot to me when it comes to a restaurant, and Enrique's has earned my repeat business. Excellent food, excellent salsa, excellent service, and one of my favorite chile verde burritos anywhere. An easy five stars.

Palapa next door offers the same food menu but has more drink options. Many opted for outdoor seating on the terrace due to the gorgeous views, but not wanting to wait we agreed to indoor seating. The interior of the restaurant is also very beautiful. The bathrooms were too dark for my tastes though. Our waitress was absolutely phenomenal, super friendly and anticipating all of our needs (water refills, leftover containers, etc.). Service overall by all staff was friendly. We were actually presently surprised with the taste of the food, thinking it might be more Americanized but they actually had very authentic and tasty totopos (tortilla chips). The tomato salsa that came with the chips was also very refreshing. We asked for hot sauce too and the house habanero salsa really packed a punch! We ordered carne asada nachos, pork belly chilaquiles (from the brunch menu), a breakfast burrito, poke, and steamed clams. The steamed clams came in a rich tomato broth and the breakfast burrito was massive. The poke was just okay and the chilaquiles a bit too soggy for me, and the carne asada nachos a bit dry. Nonetheless, presentation and portion sizes were respectable. The last comment is that food here is quite pricey but that reflects the likely high rent of a restaurant in 2nd and PCH. Ola still exceeded expectations and provided a more than pleasant meal.

First, we asked for a spicier salsa, and we were told that it could only be served with our meal. What's the point of getting the salsa with the meal when we wanted to enjoy it with our chips beforehand? They also used to offer free horchata refills, but apparently that is no longer the case. Unfortunately, they also got our food order wrong. We specifically ordered beef enchiladas, and my husband repeated the order three times, yet we received shrimp enchiladas instead. Overall, the experience just isn't what it used to be. It feels like they are nickel-and-diming customers for everything, even something as simple as salsa or a horchata refill. I understand they are renovating the front of the building, and perhaps the cost of the renovations is contributing to these changes, but the customers shouldn't feel the impact of that. The staff at the front may look nice and presentable, but unfortunately, the overall service doesn't feel as customer-focused as it once did. At this point, I would recommend looking for another restaurant where the service and hospitality are more consistent and where you don't feel like you're being charged for every little thing.
