There used to be a Cheeburger by my house a while ago but they shut down so I was excited to have a burger here before boarding a flight. I ordered my burger and waited for so long for it to come out. The staff was also super confused as to which burger belonged to which customer/name which was somewhat annoying. When my name was finally called the lady at the front was extremely nice and apologetic and gave me a free drink cup which honestly made my experience so much better. The burger was meh, nothing like a regular cheeburger that isn't in an airport but it wasn't horrible or anything. I don't know if I'd be willing to come to this location again unless I was super hungry and it was the only place open. I try this place out at least once or twice a year when I have someone forgotten how bad it is. I have ordered breakfast and lunch here before. It is just plain horrible. For the price that you pay for food here, if it did not come already packaged from a vendor ( bottle drinks, packaged items) it is just plain not right. Example: I was hungry and figured I try a Cheeseburger. The main item that is in their restaurant name. When I get it, it was obviously cook some time ago and now was microwaved or reheated some way. It is just gross. No matter how much ketchup or muster you put in it. Now, this has happened more than once so I know it is that it is just gross. I just hoped that by next time the place has changed its ways. How can you charge so much for such a disgusting burger.... I don't know... They have a computer order system that gives you a number. They are of course over priced because it is however at the airport. I ordered my burger, I went to get a drink across the way. It took them forever. My order number was 285, the lady told me they don't call out by order numbers. They had my name on the order, she informed me they don't call orders by name. Well then, why in the heck did they ask for my name and give me an ORDER MUMBER For a burger and fries, it cost me $15 The young lady's attitude was very nasty, I should have known better to order from there seeing that she was not wearing a name tag. Clearly she had an attitude problem. She messed up two orders while I was standing there. She threatened to call the airport police on me because SHE MESSED up!!! They got my money, they gave me crappy service. I also saw her being snarky with other customers, I wish I knew what her name was. All I know is she was working the day shift around 2:45 pm she is an African American young lady with a nasty disposition. I will chalk it up to her having a very bad day but no one should be subject to such blatant disrespect and abuse. This took place at the Richmond International Airport. If I am ever in Richmond, Virginia again, I will make sure to pass this business up the next time. That is for sure. read more

I had the veggie wrap from here. It was delicious and considering I'm vegan it was nice to have my order correct (without the cheese). Great place and the staff is so friendly and accommodating. Incompetent and rude employee. People who ordered after me were receiving their food so I asked about my order and gave her my order number. She said she didn't see numbers so I explained what I ordered; bagel breakfast sandwich with sausage. Then she started loudly saying "you didn't order that!" And pushed another sandwich across, I asked if that was the bagel sausage sandwich and she loudly said again "no you didn't order that!" So I asked is this mine? She said yeah. 2.5 stars. The burger and fry combo, how do you ruin it? You stick it in the Richmond "International" Airport and call it Cheeburger Cheeburger. Truly mediocre. The burger was a gray lump with lettuce, tomato just haphazardly dumped on a COLD, yes, COLD bun. The fries on my visit were greasy soggy messes. Taste: grease. Unseasoned meat. Meat lump too fat and round to bite into any of the vegies. Grey meat lump on cold bread. I expect Prison is better. Cute but empty restaurant! Its slow and bad and everyone knows this. Keep walking. Ok, so what drew me in here was the name. Cheeburger cheeburger? Sounds interesting enough. It's basically BYOB: build your own burger. I got a turkey burger with provolone cheese, jalapenos, ranch, lettuce, grilled onions, and mushrooms. Everything was fine, except the onions and mushrooms (which were $1 add ons omg why??!!) didn't feel cooked to perfection or even close. I had a few onions that seemed raw. The ranch was distributed weirdly throughout my burger. The turkey patty itself was good. An extra star because the sauces weren't extra and the fries were so good!! read more

My review is based on the service and care of the staff this morning. In many airports they fast food employees seem disconnected to their work and don't seem to want to make a connection with the consumer. This was not the case today. Both the young lady working the front counter and the lady cooking went above and beyond in the area of customer service. Specifically, the girl at the counter engaged me in conversation and we talked about her work and what it was like working the hours needed for an airport. I got a bacon ham and egg sandwich and it was good for what it was.... Hey it's a burger place that sells some breakfast food.... Eggs aren't their thing. But she made my biscuit and walked it out and then suggested that I have it with some strawberry jam. She then told me where to find all my utensils, you might not think this is a big deal but I can tell you how frustrating it is to get answers to simple questions like that in some airports. I've been meaning to try this place for ages, but I normally fly US Airways and I'm subjected to the abysmal food options of Terminal A. But I flew in on JetBlue at lunch time when I didn't have a car to pick up lunch after I left the airport, so I figured the stars were aligning so I could finally eat at Cheeburger Cheeburger! I got the Classic Burger with Swiss Cheese, Pickles, and Banana Peppers, and Onion Rings and a Strawberry Milkshake. The best part of the meal was the milkshake. I love a good milkshake with my burger (my only issue with Five Guys), and this was filled with fresh strawberry flavor. It was a little thick, but admittedly I prefer milkshakes on the thinner side since I don't want to work for my drink. But I could forgive the thickness since it was hand spun. The onion rings were also fantastic. I almost didn't get them since it was $5 for the smallest size. But it was worth every penny. They were hand cut and had a yummy flaky batter. And you got a large quantity, which makes the price more palatable. If I wasn't by myself I could have easily shared them. But they were delicious enough to eat all by myself. The burger was good, but not great. It was a little well done for my taste. But the patty was decently thick considering it was the smallest of the three size options. And the flavor was good. The meal was expensive though, even for airport standards. $17 for burger, rings, and a small shake. Luckily I had some per diem to burn. Next time though, I'll probably just spend the money on a large onion ring and large shake, and skip the burger :) read more

The mayo, mustard, and ketchup are free. The burger itself was over cooked, but I expected that. What I didn't plan on was a bun so dry and close to stale that it provided more crunch than the single pickle slice. I ate it anyway. There are extremely limited options in the Richmond Airport, so you would think a place might want to stand out. Unfortunately, this would not be the case with Cheeburger Cheeburger. I've had some food from a non airport location before, and it was decent. This was not the case here at all. Overpriced, overcooked, and under flavored was the breakdown here. They had one employee taking orders, and a few others back cooking food, but if you find yourself behind another four of five people, just know it will take all of 15-20 minutes for your food to be ready. As for the food itself, we had the chicken tenders with added fries for $14.00, and a burger. My general thought on calling something a "chicken finger basket" is that fries would be included (this was not the case). At the time of our visit, the soda fountain was down to two choices out of the original five. Overall, do yourself a favor and eat before hitting this airport. There is a Wawa gas station right before you enter the airport, I'm sure the sanwiches there are better and cheaper. read more

There are only a few options if you want a meal in the Richmond concourse. Cheesburger Cheesburger offers some burger options that I did not expect. I ordered a turkey burger and fries. The fries were nice. The burger can be personalized with topping, including peppers, different cheeses, mushrooms and onions (among other things). It was a pretty tasty meal, though not the healthiest. The nice thing is that the sandwich was cooked fresh when I ordered it, instead of being wrapped in plastic and having an unknown birth date.
