I've been here a few times and never had an issue with their handiwork. I'm surprised this place doesn't have any check ins and I had to add their business to Yelp. That's okay I love popping cherries (business, not pleasure lol). I'm here on a Sunday and was the only one here until four other women walked in five minutes after me. They open up at 10:30am on Sundays. They cover the basics that standard nail salons should cover. Of course they offer eyelash extensions, waxing, threading, pedicure, manicure, anything dealing with powder, gel, glue and acrylic. The staff here is friendly. They smile and greet you when you walk into the door. They don't rush you to, "Pick Color". The decor needs renovation and the clutter needs to be cleared. Too many posters and signs for a "nail spa" that charges somewhat expensive prices for basic services. My pedi was $15 and that's the most basic one offered here. I decided to get a mani as well that ended up costing an additional $5. If you're just getting a basic mani without a pedi it's $7. I just found out they don't offer razors for pedicures only callus remover which is an additional $5. I asked my lady to go over my feet again with the pumice because they still felt rough. I explained to her it's been awhile since I've treated myself to a professional pedicure and I need her to sand these hooves down! read more

Needed a nail job for my bday weekend and I was a little septic all about going back but I stepped out on faith. Arrived on a Thurs around 5:30. Jimmy was our and after much persuasion I decided to trust Janet. You know what they say about when you step out on faith.....the universe rewards you. Janet is new nail bae. She was engaging, funny and super bad as I paying attention to details. There were only 2 other patrons there during the duration of my visit but my wrap and gel polish took about 2hrs later. To me that's a long time but I don't mind when I leave happy. There are bday wishes and then there are nail jobs come true. I am excited to see if this could turn into a long term partnership. I needed my nails done for a birthday photoshoot. I made an appointment for Saturday at 2pm. When I got there they checked my temp, asked me to sanitize my hands, and directed me to my chair. Jimmy was my nail tech. He was friendly and straight to the point. I showed him a picture of what I wanted, he asked me to pick my color and he went to work. My nails were in tough shape, and he made them look so good. I have been getting complements every since. I waited a few days to do this review to see if my nails would hold up, and they are still going strong. I have found a new spot. Came in for tips and a pedicure. Randy is great with timing and did a decent job. My pedicure on the other hand was just ok, different tech. I wanted marble design on both big toes only with the colors of my manicure tips but that is not what I got, didn't even separate my toes with paper but the tech next to me did that for her customer. After a bad experience at another salon, I came here because of the reviews. Sadly, it didn't live up to the hype. Between screaming children being allowed in the salon while their mother was getting a pedicure, to being seated between a mother and daughter and being caught in the middle of their conversation the whole time, this was far from the experience I expect when I go to a nail salon. The first time I came, I came for an acrylic fill and the repair of a tip that had snapped off. As the technician filed off the old acrylic, the drill caught the side of my finger and snapped another one of the tips off as it caught between my skin and the nail. Naturally, she needed to repair this nail as well. In the end, I was charged the price for the full set, not just the fill and repair of one nail that was broken when I arrived. This was really irritating, but the difference between what I should have been charged versus what I was actually charged wasn't enough for me to argue over in the store at that time. If I had known this would be the case, I would have just removed the old set at home and started over with newly shaped tips. This place has "six minute" dryers that promise a quick dry, but in all actuality, need to be restarted over and over to get the dry you need before leaving the salon. The first time I came, I sat under the dryers for 24 minutes. Within 48 hours, my nails (Essie in Scarlet O'Hara) had a bizarre cloudy film over them, despite me not using or doing anything out of the ordinary on/with my hands. I chalked it up to needing more drying time, so when I went in the second time, I sat under the dryers for 36 minutes. This time, within 4 hours, my nails (Essie in Sexy Divine) were gummy and tacky, despite being hard and dry when I left the salon. I'm not sure what the issue is, but I have never had a problem with Essie polishes before. I definitely can't be sitting underneath dryers for over 30 minutes when I came for a quick polish change, nor can I be walking around getting polish changes every other day because they look awful. Returning to this salon is unlikely. Back on the hunt for a good nail salon in south Queens. read more

It was my first time going here for my wedding and they did an excellent job! I got a gel mani and pedi. Both are still going strong two weeks later (with some nail growth of course)! The prices are very affordable especially with how much I heard gel nails cost. It cost $25 for gel, $50 total. I'll definitely be returning! read more

I decided to give this place a try after being disappointed with the work I received at another nail salon (Barry's Beauty Bar). I waited around 10 minutes before the nail tech started my nails. YES. YES. SO MUCH YES. I've passed this place so many times en route to Jamaica Avenue and always neglected it because I thought all the birds frequented here--I'm a bit judgmental. I did a gel manicure elsewhere and came here to get a pedicure and remove the gel polish, but did thorough research before coming in. To secure my place I called to make an appointment, its not necessary but you should do so to make sure you're not waiting long. Upon arrival there were a few women waiting, but I may have waited no longer than 10 minutes. They were pretty busy, but were able to have me towards the back of the salon to remove the gel. After my gel was all gone, a young looking woman did my pedicure and did an excellent job. Frankly, anyone who's able to get rid of ingrown nails without it hurting gets a minimum 3 stars in my head lol. My gel removal, regular manicure and pedicure came to about $25. $25!?!! What?! Even with the $1 charge for using a card, I'd definitely come here again. Their salon is clean, the music is not too loud and they're very attentive to customers' wants and needs. Avoid this place. I give this place two stars because the price for tips and pedicure are not bad for what you get. However, they are not sanitary. My mom has been told that this place had bedbugs and she continued to go until a bedbug fell from the ceiling onto my mom's jacket and they did nothing to handle the situation. Dirty! They don't have any plastic protector to go in the pedicure sink. Cleans the pedicure sink with something in a Clorox bottle but don't think it's Clorox. The reason I'm saying all of this, is because I recieved a pedicure and the next day, I noticed my feet were starting to stink when I took off my socks. I've never had stinky feet in my life! Not even in my school days! And I played ball in grade school!!!! Then a week later I noticed my toenails started to chip away. I have been a customer here for years but yesterday I went to get a regular acrylic fill-in that is supposed to only cost $16. When they went to charge me, they added a $5 fee because of "the length" and mind you, my nails are a regular length.. Another $5 because I asked the tech to shape the acrylic curved and an additional $5 because they used gel clear top coat. It went from $16 to $31 and it wasnt until i asked several questions that they told me why i was charged so much. It was like they just wanted to charge me thinking i wouldnt notice the extra $15 worth of made-up fees. I have always been a good customer.. Never complained even when they did not do a great job.. Always gave a great tip.. But now I will just go to the nail salon around the corner on baisley. read more
