Truly horrible. 45 minutes wait for a HORRIBLE sandwich. The manager was so rude it was crazy. Ordered a chicken panini with melted mozzarella for my daughter. After a long wait (one other couple in the store) her sandwich came out with 2 thin slices of deli chicken breast and a thin layer of melted cheese. $16. There was literally no food. When I showed this to the manager she said that normally they add spinach and tomatoes. I said this is deli meat not grilled chicken she then tried to tell me it was roasted chicken. It was so weird. She then microwaved a piece of rubbery chicken and put on a piece of mozzarella which she said was not like usual mozzarella since it comes from a block! THIS IS A CHEESE SHOP!! They clearly are using frozen products which is why it takes so long. I used to come here and it was fantastic. What a waste of time and money. To make it worse they are not nice. read more

This place sucks! I ordered the great northern on ciabatta , I took one bite and I almost choked it was so dry! I told the manager that it was inedible and i wanted another sandwich he said I already took a bite and I cant get it replaced, I had to go through 3 people and they were not very accommodating. He fought with me about it. in the end they would not make me a different sandwich and gave me my money back with such a bad attitude!! rude! all I wanted was a good sandwich. I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy. horrible customer service! One of the workers said "we cook the chicken fresh and our customers like it dry" yeah right!!! I will never step foot here again and neither should anyone else for that matter!!! John (owner) is a despicable human being. He's down right nasty and obnoxious. The customer service is a joke. This place may not be pricey but I rather pay more for better service. I can't believe how they get any business at all with the treatment of the customers. Excellent eating experience ... from walking in the door to the friendly service even during the hectic Hampton summertime rush + the added delivery service due to COVID, my meal was handed to me in their typical turnaround time. I am obsessed with the Lee Spa made out of yummy fresh eggs, swiss, spinach, avocado and salsa- another favorite is their truffle chicken salad! Food is great but service is horrendous. Only one man at the register, and no one working the espresso besides himself. Sandwich bar is a mess, service is slow. Owners are rude to employees, yell at them constantly and work them very hard. Salad bar looked great, did not try the salad though. sooooo much better now with new owners. Waited 35 minutes recently but we ordered for 8 people and it is worth it every time. Not a disappointed customer in our group. Best chopped salads, Acai bowls and seriously great soups. Our go to is the Truffle chicken salad and the grilled paninis. BEST ALL AROUND breakfast lunch spot out east, hands down. read more

The Cheese Shoppe is the place to be when in the hamptons. The food is amazing, the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Had breakfast there the other morning and I loved the yogurt bowl and egg sandwich. I'm a foodie so trust when I say it's great food. I will be back for lunch. The manager of this shop is a strange, horrible man who seems to enjoy giving customers and employees a hard time. The staff there seems to be afraid of him. Even worse, I saw roaches and filthy kitchen conditions, as well as excruciatingly slow service for getting a simple (tasteless) and over-priced sandwich. I always have an amazing lunch from CS. The new owner really elevated the quality and much faster than the mess it was. The retail is pretty awesome too and not crazy Hampton prices. My family and I make regular visits to this place every weekend. My teens are always there on their own for the best açaí bowls ( the nut bowl with peanut butter). The food is exceptional. They have breakfast all day and you can order online now and get an email when your order is ready so no waiting. Thank goodness for the summer months! read more

Rented in Watermill when COVID hit and this place has fed my family for the past year at least 4 times a week. My kids love the Turkey chili and Matzo Ball soup and you can get it cold to reheat for dinner. The panini are as good as it get's. We love cheese SHOPPE! read more
