It has been a few years since I enjoyed their food. When I first went there I was so excited to get good cheese-steaks that I drove the extra distance from home to take my wife. She is from the Philadelphia area, knows her cheese-steaks and completely enjoyed her meal. With time on my hands I anticipated another great sandwich. Unfortunately, I was disappointed. Years ago, they made the sandwiches to order. Not any more. The sandwiches were in a self-serve warming case. Now, don't get me wrong. The flavor of the meat was fine. Hours in the heat lamp bask rendered the roll totally icky. It was all wrinkled and bland. Also, you cannot get what you want on the sandwich to meet your wishes. You have to pick from the array of labeled and wrapped options. While it has been years since I've been there, it will be many more, if ever, when I make the drive down there. There is a chain restaurant in walking distance from home that does a much better job. read more

Stopped by here after going for a coffee and hike an hour earlier. My husband and I got the same sandwich we got the original cheesetsteak but they got the order wrong and gave us the south street Philly. Even though it's not what we ordered the sandwiches were very good, flavorful , and will leave you full. The bread is nice and soft and hold together well. The portions are good for the price. Parking is generally good but your sharing space with the gas station. We will definitely be coming back here . read more

If you ever have had a cheesesteak in Philly don't go here . If not? Take your chances . Don't ask for anything different at all.. meaning if you don't like mushrooms (?? Weird ) on a cheesesteak (back to the Philly comment ) you will have to settle for a "plain" one .. meaning no peppers or onions , just cheese . Which leads you to understand this is premade. It doesn't take long to grill the meat and desired toppings fresh so why not do that ? Because of this the sandwich was VERY dry.. anyone who has had a good cheesesteak knows it should be messy and dripping . Fries are ok actually but for the quality? This was way overpriced. First of all this in on Miller Rd not Ln. I was really looking forward to trying this place having lived on the east coast for almost a year. It is located in the Shell right off I-24. I ordered two whole Philly cheesesteaks fully dressed and two orders of fresh cut fries. The staff was very friendly. The fries were good and not overly salty. I'll start with the steak. It was not seasoned. For us if the meat is well seasoned no sauces are required. We got the sandwiches fully dressed I'd recommend not doing that unless you want a really sloppy sandwich which is okay if that's your thing. The cheddar cheese sauce was also lacking flavor. I would also recommend ordering a half as the whole is basically a foot long. Overall it was good but I was expecting a better philly. It's possible the steak was bland because one of the staff was new. Although I must compliment him as he dressed the sandwiches with love. He seemed to be a perfectionist delicately placing lettuce pickles and other toppings. He also did a great job making sure all these toppings stayed inside the bread. Kudos to him! read more

Saw this place as I was getting off the exit to head to Love's truck stop and ended up turning around to give it a shot. About 20 parking spots for big rigs and plenty of room to get in and out. This place is adjoining the gas station which also has some hot food available, actually looked fresh and tasty. The ladies and young man working on both sides were very friendly and polite. I ordered the 6 inch steak on white with all the toppings I usually ordered and a side of fries. The fries are cut right there in front so you know they are fresh. The order was quick. I walked to the truck, about 3 minutes and the heat from the bag was radiating from the bag. The fries were hot but the steam From the bag made them soggy, still edible but a recommendation would be eat them inside when you get them. Remind me of fair fries, really good. The sandwich was delicious, nice and juicy and had a real good flavor to it. Overall a great experience, Next time I'll sit and enjoy it inside so the fries are a little crispy. Took the boy for our weekly summer lunch outing and it was okay. I ordered the chicken philly and he ordered three tenders and fries. My chicken had a tendon in it, first bite and that immediately makes my stomach hurt. I know, it's probably just me, and some people don't think it is a big deal, but I. Cannot. Swallow. It. I had to spit it out so I was carefully poking around in there to make sure there were no more. The damage was done, and I got through about 1/2 of it. The chicken tenders were enormous. I mean, where are they raising these chickens, Texas? He should have ordered 1. But, they were really good and the fries were the best I have had in a long time. The service was very friendly. Be warned that when we were there, it was pretty dirty. Could have been our timing, but all of the available tables needed to be cleaned. I will begin with our least favorite thing about this visit to the Cheesesteak Factory and it is the reason I can only give it 3 stars. We had the Cheesesteak sandwich with onions, peppers, mushrooms and provolone cheese, french fries and sweet teas. The meat was seasoned well and tender the bun warm and soft however the meat to bun ratio was off. My bun wasn't cut though or even close to the outside so half of my first few bites was nothing but bun. I decided to open the bun more thoroughly and look for the mushrooms that I hadn't been able to taste and redistribute the meat. I found two dices of a mushroom so technically it had "mushrooms" and after redistribution of the meat it was quite apparent why the bun hadn't been cut correctly as there wasn't enough meat to cover the bun. So that's the down side. On a positive note, the food was fresh and made to order. My husband is a truck driver and there was plenty of available places to park the truck at 4:00 PM (a huge plus!) The place was clean. The service was welcoming, prompt and polite. And the french fries were among the best I have ever eaten. I am not a huge fan of french fries not for health reasons or anything like that. They are typically not my favorite item to order. That said, I do eat fries. I do like to have a few with my burger or sandwich but typically the majority of my order of fries goes to whoever I am eating with. That was NOT the case today. Knowing my proclivity to fries my husband even handed me the basket that had visibility fewer fries. He also expected to get my left overs. I smacked his hand. The fries were that good. My husband says hands down the best he has ever had. If consistency is key in the food service industry then this place fails. One sandwich had much less meat than the other but both were lacking the right bun to meat ratio. We ordered the same meals and my basket had noticibly fewer fries than my husband's. The food was fresh, hot, seasoned to perfection and the fries were amazing! These things coupled with excellent service, easy available parking is why I am giving 3 (I wish there was an option for 3.5) stars. We will give this place another try. The chicken tenders and wings looked excellent and the sign said fish fry fridays. I hope to leave a better review next trip. Safe and happy travels! read more

They have the biggest chicken tenders you will ever eat! You'll have to ask if they accidentally thought you ordered the whole chicken. They will rank up there with the best you have tasted as well. The fresh cut fries are off the hook as well. This place is connected to a truck stop, but that just makes the people watching that much better. Owner is a jerk. $30 in food. Wife's lemonade was a little weak and owner was going to charge us for an extra lemon. And was informed it was an "award" winning receipt. But couldn't grasp that two identical lemons can have different amounts of juice and flavor. He is clearly more concerned with awards than customer service. Yes, it's in a gas station but the people working there were the nicest in any restuarant I've been in and the cheesesteak was amazing. Husband says their fries are better than Five Guys. The best part about stopping here are the French fries, they give you a whole freshly cut potato.. very nice to get that. I had the Classic Cheese steak sandwich and it was pretty good, the steak was plenty flavorful and the cheese was also good.
