    Cheesesteak fully dressed
    JJ B.

First of all this in on Miller Rd not Ln. I was really looking forward to trying this place having lived on the east coast for almost a year. It is located in the Shell right off I-24. I ordered two whole Philly cheesesteaks fully dressed and two orders of fresh cut fries. The staff was very friendly. The fries were good and not overly salty. I'll start with the steak. It was not seasoned. For us if the meat is well seasoned no sauces are required. We got the sandwiches fully dressed I'd recommend not doing that unless you want a really sloppy sandwich which is okay if that's your thing. The cheddar cheese sauce was also lacking flavor. I would also recommend ordering a half as the whole is basically a foot long. Overall it was good but I was expecting a better philly. It's possible the steak was bland because one of the staff was new. Although I must compliment him as he dressed the sandwiches with love. He seemed to be a perfectionist delicately placing lettuce pickles and other toppings. He also did a great job making sure all these toppings stayed inside the bread. Kudos to him!

Saw this place as I was getting off the exit to head to Love's truck stop and ended up turning around to give it a shot. About 20 parking spots for big rigs and plenty of room to get in and out. This place is adjoining the gas station which also has some hot food available, actually looked fresh and tasty. The ladies and young man working on both sides were very friendly and polite. I ordered the 6 inch steak on white with all the toppings I usually ordered and a side of fries. The fries are cut right there in front so you know they are fresh. The order was quick. I walked to the truck, about 3 minutes and the heat from the bag was radiating from the bag. The fries were hot but the steam From the bag made them soggy, still edible but a recommendation would be eat them inside when you get them. Remind me of fair fries, really good. The sandwich was delicious, nice and juicy and had a real good flavor to it. Overall a great experience, Next time I'll sit and enjoy it inside so the fries are a little crispy. Next time through the area I'll be stopping back in.

This place was a lucky find. The food was fantastic and cheap. Cooked quick and right in front of me. I love the atmosphere too. Everyone was very friendly and I felt welcome as an out of towner.

Low prices. Friendly staff. Decent steak. Great selection. Oh... and the fries are cut and fried to order; impossible to get more fresh than that.

Do it to me one more Time...

Sandwich probably would have been ok fresh but they do not make them to order, they are premade and in a hot box.

Not worth price for cheese steak sandwich unless you favor not much meat and very little cheese on your cheese steak samage

I get it, it's a truck stop style restaurant, but the food is really good. The cheesesteaks and chicken are great.

Awesome service to go with the best Cheesesteak this side of Philly. A must go to whenever traveling south on 24 between Nashville and ATL.

Ended up going with the Big Boy with provolone, onions, and bananas peppers. We also got a side salad and cheese curds. Portion sizes of sandwich was pretty good, sides not so much. Salad was fair for the price. Cheese curds for $8 was steep for (I'm pretty sure) not handmade. I'm spoiled from Twilight Tavern's. The sandwich itself just didn't really stand out. Probably the most critical thing I have is I don't like the pricing model. $16.50 gets you the sandwich with cheese and grilled onions. That's it. Each additional veggie was 50¢ more. As a customer, I would prefer something like sandwich + two add ons as the flat rate. Dinner ended up being $40 for two and we only got one sandwich. All this being said, I may be missing what makes the sandwich so iconic. The meat itself wasn't particularly tasty or seasoned. The bread was unremarkable. Like maybe they are counting on a nostalgia factor that I just don't have. Most likely wouldn't go again unless there's something happening (i.e. trivia, group hang, etc).

I got my cheese steak prepared the traditional way to make sure my comparison would be fair. The service was amazing. I'm so sad that they're no longer off Charlotte Pike, but the food is worth traveling farther west in Bellevue to get. Love: service (above and beyond, kind, helpful); Philly Cheeze Steak (soft roll, well- seasoned steak, huge portion); fries (fresh, crunchy, well- seasoned); Itz a Philly sauce (goes well with the fries)

We loved them, and there was plenty of meat and cheese inside the bun. They are really messy, though, so be sure to get plenty of napkins. We ordered extra sauces, and they were so good, but you do get a small amount sauce for the price. Even so, I would order the Philly sauce again, but my husband was not a fan of his ranch sauce. These were the best Philly sandwiches we have found here in Nashville, so if you are craving a great Philly be sure to give them a try.
