Great food, great value, and great people! They gave us plenty of food for the money we paid. Very attentive and checked up on us a lot as well. I do have a very severe nut allergy and they took it very seriously, making sure that there was no cross-contamination and even requesting to accommodate to my needs as well. Very small, hole-in-the-wall restaurant but very homey and atmospheric. Overall would recommend!

I was craving Indian food, so found this place nearby, they had pretty good review. I had Chicken Tikka Masala as it is one of the popular dishes. I wanted to like it, but it was too sweet for me. The rice was good, though. They don't have parking, so only street parking.

I ordered here on a whim, and man was I surprised. Hot, fresh, tender, savory, flavorful - ALL THE THINGS. It was so good, I had to run it back the next day, so I came to eat in person. It's a small place with a hole-in-the-wall look and feel. The lunch special is unbeatable. it's like $13.50 for most entrees and comes with papadum, rice, naan, and lentil soup. That naan, oh my god. I got plain one time and garlic another - both bussin'. The mango lassi is so tasty and refreshing. I'm only in LA for an internship and boy am I going to miss this place when I return home.

I wanted to stop by this restaurant so many times and I decided to head in solo tonight! And I am so glad I finally did. I absolutely love Indian food and this place is a small cozy restaurant that is packed with absolute flavor! The lady at the front was so sweet as well! I can't wait to bring my family here and continue coming. Unfortunately parking is the only issue but it's well worth the food!

Leave it to my bf moms to find this hidden gem! I can't believe this place has been right under our noses all along! When people say "restaurants that look like a hole in the wall have the best food" THIS IS THE PLACE! As we were walking towards it I was like.... Are we sure about this? It's pretty small and luckily there was only one other group inside eating. Our waiter was AWESOME! I wish we got his name but anyways he was great! I loved that he gave us a breakdown of the menu, asked our likes and dislikes and was able to give us some really good recommendations. I sadly dont remember the names of our dishes but im sure anything you choose from here you will NOT be disappointed. We will definitely return! Love the pricing and the food portions were 10/10

I found this place serendipitously through Uber Eats, and I was so astonished by the flavor, the savoring flavors and delish entrees that I made a trip all the way to the restaurant. I would usually not go to a restaurant like this! The restaurant is a hole in the wall, in a somewhat dilapidated corner with barely enough lights. This isn't a street I would walk late at night. Next to a Tattoo parlor, with neon lights. The restaurant itself is very ethnic with several posters, and an orange theme permeating throughout. The restaurant only has three tables, very lonely tables but alas this is the decor! I get a feeling of sadness when I see such an ambience. This establishment is only mostly for take out. But if you do ever come, you get additional appetizers. We got free samosas on the house! AJ and Norma were excellent This was by far the strangest and most amazing find in all of Los Angeles! I had tried several Indian restaurants via Uber Eats and each missed the mark in some way. Most chicken tandooris were dry, some chicken tikka masala were not flavorful others the Biryanis didn't pack the punch. I was BLOWN away by the food here. The chicken tandoori, was moist, juicy and succulent, grilled on a bed of onions and herbs. The lamb biryani was by far the BEST I've tasted in Los Angeles. Succulent lamb shank pieces, with fried onions, green peas and the occasional pine nuts on rice with a concoction of spices. The hint of Turmeric replenishes your soul. And the chicken tikka masala and garlic nun. The food was flavorful and delicious, but you don't get that heavy post food coma feeling. This should from now on be your favorite Indian establishment. If you are debating via Uber Eats, then debate no more, the judges have decided, this is a winner folks

Kheer, Lamb Rogan (16floz), chicken vindaloo the best!

Hands down 10/10 best restaurant! Support local!! We order at least once a month from Chef Arango's, always through DoorDash and it never fails to be delivered hot, well packed and fast! We've tried so many dishes: palak paneer & matar paneer, lamb rogan, chicken and lamb vindaloo all have a medium spice, large portions and delicious!! This is not a place that gives only sauce and few bits and pieces.. this is the real deal. Bhindi bhaji & tarka dal are spicy and oh so good! My partner loves the pershwani naan which you can't get anywhere (not that we get Indian anywhere else anymore). Finally, our favorite end to the meal is the Kheer. It's the first place I've tried rice pudding and now I look forward to it every time we order. Also a special thank you to the chef for swapping our soup for the kheer.

I was really craving Indian food so I decided to look for a spot that was kind of like a mom and Pop, but that I had amazing reviews, and I stumbled upon this gem. It is on a busy street, but there is plenty of street parking that is metered but free after 6 PM. When I got there, there was no one inside, so I was just a party of one and I sat down and the gentleman that was working was very attentive and took my order and was able to provide me with really good recommendations. I went with the lamb curry and also got the veggie appetizer. For three dollars I added rice, lentil, soup, and a dessert! They also give you a dipping sauce with chips for a light starter for free. I really enjoyed my time here. It was delicious and I will definitely be back!!

I went for several of the three taco deal and tried them all. My favorites in order were the unagi, with the sweet sauce and spicy crab, the spicy tuna, the salmon, beef, and pork. The food is absolutely amazing. It's a small, long-standing spot with a lot of history, and you can taste that in the food. The charbroiled oysters are to die for my first time having them, they were packed with flavor and seasoning. The second time, they were still really good, just not quite as flavorful as that first experience. The red snapper plate w/ shrimp is so good, and the mac and cheese surprised me because I'm not even a big mac and cheese person, but I actually really enjoyed it. Even the Caesar salad stands out super fresh and flavorful. Another thing I love is that the food always comes out hot and fresh, which makes a big difference. Service is impressive too. Even when it's crowded (and it usually is), they're attentive and get to you pretty quickly, which I appreciate. The only downside is parking it's honestly kind of a hassle. It's either valet or street parking, and most of the time you'll end up parking a bit far and walking. Not the best, but manageable. Overall, I've already been twice within a couple of months, and I can't wait to go back again. Definitely worth it.

The food was just mediocre across the board, and as someone from the South, I was honestly shocked they didn't even offer southern greens. That alone felt almost criminal to me. Japanese American history in Los Angeles is fascinating, and so much more of it needs to be told. Well, some of that great history comes through the tireless and hard-working efforts of Yoshi and the other two gentlemen featured in the picture attached to this review. This is home to some to some of the most unique, and tasty chili in L.A. I've been eating it since I was a freshman in the high school, but damn near a decade or so slip by in between that time. Fun fact #1 Okie dog is briefly featured in the movie White Men Can't Jump. Fun fact #2 there is a picture of some cool rapper type guy on the outer window of Okie Dog that can be seen ever so briefly in the movie. That young man is......well......ME! Lol (this was sheer luck in coincidence-and no I never saw a dime). LOL Let's go over the food....I played it safe and didn't go with the Oki Dog itself, but rather a double cheeseburger with extra chili on the side. My hands were silly sloppy with chili all over the place after even a few bites! Suffice to say everything on this menu is delicious, and regardless of what I order I'm sure to add chili to everything. To conclude, my experience was about to wind down when I noticed the legend himself still in that doggone kitchen! It was none other than Yoshi himself, a man who has given countless hours, smiles, and great energy to a predominantly working class neighborhood in Los Angeles for roughly half a century! Kudos indeed to this establishment, t's owner Yoshi, and props to the other founders for their precious culinary contributions to the city of LA.

A taste of LA nostalgia…read more Ive been curious about this spot for a really long time since ive driven past it a million times. Finally decided to swing in for lunch, and this place gives similar vibes to The Hat. Had to get that Oki Dog, and when I see teriyaki on a menu I for sure gotta try that too. The Oki Dog is a double barreled chili cheese burrito. This combo instantly will take you back to the early 90s. Its huge, and a bit heavy, but if you need something to get u thru the day then this will do it. The teriyaki was just alright. The chicken was solid, but tasted a bit freezer burnt, and the beef was moreso philly cheesesteak type beef than a proper thin sliced or chopped beef when it comes to beef teriyaki. Solid little spot for some LA Nostalgia, but pack some Tums because everything is a bit heavy.
