There are different Seasons to Ahma and for this particular one, Taiwan is the Muse and coffee is its medium. My limited discernment between good coffee and bad coffee is acidity--sour and bitter, bleh. Or watered down. I don't douse my coffee with milk (anymore) because of lactose intolerance. But here, Coffee can be strong and bold, or brewed to possess properties that taste more like tea. And decaf (!) could have notes of whiskey without any of its alcohol. Particular care has been given to serve your cold brew in a frozen glass, or hot pour over in a warm pink cup. Josh has all the latest gadgets if you are into the coffee scene. But even if you're not, observing him brew you an espresso is an act of joy, not the beleaguered coffee pot in the workplace break room, but sharing in something worth its time and precision and experience. But because this is coffee, there is also something interesting to pair with it. A blooming osmanthus jelly, translucent and floral and fragrant. A delightfully nutty and buttery biscuit, its recipe took five years to perfect, with pineapple wintermelon jelly and delicate egg yolk shavings. A fried popcorn chicken cutlet with Thai basil pesto sandwich with just the right amount of crunch. The total amount of caffeine came in just about 2 cups of coffee, and I left pretty satisfied, but this being San Gabriel, grabbed some dim sum to go afterwards. Don't worry though, parking and access is very easy. The person who was assisting us, was so very pleasant, kind and nice. We told her it was our first time here, and she answered questions for us, made recommendations and even let us try samples as needed. I was in the mood for a fruit tea, and she recommended the Lychee Signature Blend Black Tea. Each tea listed comes with a recommended sweetness level and ice level, which you can modify if you wish. I did replace the aloe with black tea jelly. Overall, I enjoyed this very much. I would definitely return again. Enjoy it to go; however, they do have a few tables outside the counter if you prefer to enjoy it in the Ranch 99 store.

There is an order kiosk if you don't want to talk to anyone, however their friend staff is available to answer any questions, make recommendations, and offer samples. I ordered the Geisha Peach Black Tea at level 1 sweetness, 30% ice and Signature Black Tea Jellies. The tea is steeped with dried peaches, so there isn't any flavored syrups like other tea places. The jellies were delicious and 100% recommended. The level of sweetness was perfect for me at 1. My husband enjoyed the Lychee Signature Blend Black Tea with Aloe. I didn't have a sip, but I know he liked it a lot. I'm looking forward to ordering other flavors and topping combinations.

There is a small side page on their website that mentions deliveries may be delayed but this information should be placed in the shipping section of checkout. Also, it's not USPS fault for the delay (as they state in the page - they blame USPS for shipping delays and tracking information inconsistencies) because I tracked the order progress on the Shop app and know when it was shipped. It was the order preparation time that was the delay. Reached out via email (since can't reach anyone by phone) and have yet to hear back as well. When I commented on an instagram post seeking any sort of help, they replied to email them at "support@artoftea.com and we can help". Well that's what I did a while ago and have still not gotten a response.

Now with Teavana, and other places that have straight up tea samples (I'm not talking about milk tea, or what have you), like maybe, 123 Farm or other places that sell tea leaves for the consumer to brew at home, the tea is brewed up the yin yang. I suppose they really crank it up so you can really taste the floral/fruity/nutty/tea leaf flavors and then you like the taste and you purchase the tea leaves to brew at home. Every sample that we chose tasted super light in flavor, even when the sample looked deep in color. So I'm a pea brained buffoon. I have purchased teas from aforementioned businesses and the only time I haven't messed up brewing my own loose leaf teas and it actually resembled the strong sample flavors were from some form of fancier Ten Ren derivative with a tea tasting experience and a really cool witchy place, but if it already tastes light as a sample, I will, as a fool, 100% mess it up even more. I could barely taste the difference between the teas too, super subtle. Maybe only real tea connoisseurs or giga chads can tell the difference, but the staff was kindly helping another person so I didn't want to interrupt. It's a really minimalistic, aesthetically pleasing shop inside. All of the tea bags are on display with the ingredients on display to take a smell, so that's nice. Free samples are nice too. Maybe it was an off day and we might need to swoop in to try again.

Super cute!…read more I'm not the biggest fan of Bearology's drinks in general, but for an experience, I feel like this is worth it as a Squishmallows fan or just an enjoyer of cute things in general. Making a reservation via OpenTable is $10, but it gets converted to credit you can use during your visit for drinks, food, and other purchases. If you have a reservation for 6 and you're celebrating a birthday, you can get a free fruit birthday cake from J.J. Bakery with cute Squishmallows paper decorations on top, a Happy Birthday mini sign, and some candles. We didn't have any candles, but we were fine just having the decorations on top. It's quite a large cake, so there's definitely leftovers to take home after for our party of 6. You do get a Squishmallows passport for your visit there and you can get a free hand cream or lip balm if you complete it, but aside from collecting the cute stamps, I think if you're just a casual fan, just purchasing it from the vending machine might prove to be more worth it as 1 stamp involves making a purchase over $100 and another one is to visit a second time. We had someone who was out of town, so we were happy just to be there. The entire cafe is very nicely themed with a beach photo op in front, the tropical beach decor inside and out with the cute little Squishmallows hanging out on the beach, surfboards, and a nice ambient lighting. They even decorated the little hall into the restroom which was a nice touch. There's a cotton candy machine that is around $6 and you can choose the design for the cotton candy, there's a vending machine beach van with a photo op (you can even climb in!) that sells Squishmallow blind bags, skin care and make up goods, and much more. You can get candles from the front and there are themed cups (portable bottles and a Tiki mug) with respective themed drinks. They also have some of the food fusion Squishmallows where you can get them in the standard size and the larger size. We got Pete the Ginseng Pig and Romulus the Beet Bat. For the sizes that we got, they are much cheaper to get here than online based on the "Squad App". We got the: 1) Cam's Caramel Milk Tea: -We got this in the Cam tumbler. This is a rich caramel and creamy milk tea, blended with sea salt for a sweet and salty mix. -There's a slight burnt taste to this, but after diluting it with milk at home, it was not bad! 2) Junie's Pineapple Mango Blend: -We got this in the Junie tumbler. This is a coconut milk with pineapple and mango puree. -Very tropical taste and is creamy with the coconut milk, not bad. 3) Maritza's Tiki Cooler: -We got this in the Martiza's tumbler. This is a mix of orange and pineapple juice with a splash of lemonade. -Pretty sour but the taste grew on us. 4) Pork Katsu Sliders: -This comes with 2 mini pork katsu sliders with the cute Squishmallows bun (shaped like Cam with the S logo on it) and some sauced coleslaw. -Comes with a generous amount of chip fries as well. Decently crispy. -Small but pretty good! -Came in a Maui (pineapple) Squishmallow box. 5) 'Mallows Melt: -We got 2 of these to share and the cheese stretch is pretty decent. It's a triple cheese melt on toasted white bread. Very colorful with orange and purple and red mixed in. -Goes great with the marinara sauce it comes with and you can never go wrong with a good grilled cheese. -Came in a Cam boat at the bottom. Cute packaging! We got some tokens, $2 each for the crane game and out of our entire party, only 1 person won, but it is possible! They were a bit short staffed that Halloween night we visited, but service was very friendly, accommodating, and welcoming regardless. We came around 8 PM, the final reservation available for the night, but throughout the night, more people came in. I'm assuming during more busier hours, like the event states, you might be seated with others. I'm not the biggest fan of Bearology's drinks (usually too sweet or sour and concentrated even with adjustments), but this event made it so worth it! Everyone had a good time!
