I'm so happy I was able to get to Cocco Bello Cafe this past week for dinner with my good friend. They have a new Chef from Italy that is knocking the menu out of the ball park! For starters, there were so many tempting appetizers to choose from, but my friend and I decided to order the Fried Calamari to share. The presentation alone when it arrived at our table was amazing! It was topped with two fried shrimp and thinly sliced deep fried veggies. The coating was so delicious, and it was cooked to perfection! The portion size was more than enough for 2 people. Fried Calamari is one of my favorites, I couldn't get enough of it! Next up, my friend ordered the Chicken Milanese, that not only looked so delicious but she said it was. I decided to take a chance on ordering the Pork Loin dish, which was actually a nice sized, thick pork chop on the bone. It came with a pistachio/date balsamic sauce/glaze, that was served along with sautéed broccoli rabe with garlic and two large oven roasted seasoned wedge potatoes. I usually never order pork out because it's usually over cooked, and dry. But, I'm so glad I did this time! When my dish arrived, the presentation was mouth watering. I'm sorry I didn't take a picture to display here. After taking my first bite, I couldn't believe how moist, tender and absolutely delicious it was! The pork with the sauce/glaze was a delicious, too die for, combination! Just Wow! We opted not to order dessert only because we were so full from dinner. Next time! As for the staff, they were friendly, attentive and very helpful when we had questions about menu items. Our waiter, Ricky, was very pleasant, and made sure we had a full glass of iced water during our entire dining experience since it was hot outside. This restaurant is definitely family oriented, even has a kids' menu. In addition, we were told, they will also make anything to order, even if it is not on the menu. The outside seating is a perfect set up. Do not pass up on an opportunity to dine at Cocco Bello Cafe. It's a fabulous restaurant! Kudos to Chef Giuseppe for a fantastic dining experience, can't wait to come back very soon with family and friends. Lastly, I can't help but comment about the last 1 star review. It's really a shame. After what we experienced recently, I am having a very difficult time believing what they wrote. Just because there is no longer home made pasta or desserts, doesn't make Cocco Bello or the new menu awful. It's quite the contrary. Sounds as though they may have known the last chef and are not happy that he is no longer there. Take a chance, dine at Cocco Bello, you won't be disappointed. read more
