It's really hard to find great Chinese food in the Temecula Valley. With that said, we have enjoyed the dishes at Chef K. They have some of our favorite dim sum dishes and a variety of Chinese ones that we truly love. I don't think we have had a bad dish here tbh, albeit I find that we tend to spend over $100 easily for the four of us with ample leftovers to share for another meal. We have only ordered to go but hopefully will dine in someday. The place looks really nice and old school elegant. It was fresh but the experience was also dull when ordering. Pricing was a bit high but there was A LOT of food. I have the half of rice left and this is the 3rd day of eating it. I have found a place that is my go to that is sit down. I would go there instead but this one I do like the location! It has a lot of potential. Our first visit. We had the lunch specials. Fantastic sweet and sour shrimp, snow pea beef served with choice of rice or noodles. The sides were uncomplicated and delicious. Also choice of egg drop or hot and sour soup. We had the egg drop. Fresh and so tasty. Also had egg roll and cream cheese wonton. Very pleased with everything about Chef K's. Nice to find good Chinese food, cooked to order, fun to watch the chef at work. This food is not sitting in pans, it's all made fresh. The service is pleasant as well. The seating is simple chairs and tables, nothing fancy but the food is definitely worth the trip. Looking forward to returning and trying out more of the many wonderful choices! We've been wanting to try this place for quite sometime since we heard it was the same as the Chef K in Temecula but more casual; and, so glad we did today. As we walked in, we were greeted warmly; didn't think much of it until we got closer and we recognized Hannah from the Temecula location. She has always been warm and friendly. I was recently craving sweet and sour chicken so I came here for lunch. The service was quick and friendly. I had the sweet and sour chicken lunch special. It was fantastic and you get a lot of food for the money which was also very good. It came with the chicken, noodles, egg flower soup, and a cream cheese wonton. Winner, winner, Chongqing Spicy Crispy Chicken Dinner! Another Chef K opened within delivery distance of our house. And, the portions and flavor are better than the Temecula location. We ordered the large Hot and Sour Soup and an order of the Chongqing Spicy Crispy Chicken from Chef K's Muttieta location. We found the soup to be more flavorful than the Temecula location and the chicken to be more plentiful than our usual location. This was a pleasant surprise and we might just have to order from this location more often. Chef K is the best choice for Chinese in the area. Great customer service. I placed my order they told me 15 minutes so I went to wait in the car right in front of restaurant with my kids and set my timer for 14 minutes to go back in and get it. But they ended up bringing it out to me in my car after only 12 minutes, I felt bad that I didn't go in on time but also thought that was so kind of them to bring it out. Now about the food! The Chongqing chicken was so crispy and tender and delicious, perfect amount of heat and flavor! The eggplant was my favorite but I love eggplants! Broccoli beef and sweet and sour pork were also good but I only tried some bites. Finding a quality Chinese restaurant with that authentic flavors and taste is hard to find in the states. My go restaurant use to be located in Poway, Wongs Wok. They had the truest authentic Chinese food in SoCal. My wife found Chef K in Murrieta and we decided to give it a shot. I mean come on, I said I love Asian food and it's my go to food. The portions were extremely large and well worth the value. Their Hot & Sour soup was by the best I have had in the states. Their lunch menu could be two meals for one person. The Noodles were absolutely amazing and no soy sauce needed. I can never pass up potstickers either. OMG the potstickers were extremely well portioned in sized. I mean these suckers were the size of two put together from other restaurants. The sauce, was absolutely amazing. Rest assured, Chef K is awesome and well worth experiencing.
