I was staying in Temecula for a night and searched for a nearby restaurant with wonton soup. This place came up and it was absolutely perfect to-go. I ordered the Sweet & Sour Pork lunch (it included SO much food) plus the soup, and everything was delicious. The two ladies at the counter were also very sweet at pick-up. Nuff said If it's your first time I definitely recommend both of those as that's all I've tried so far but my family was VERY satisfied with both those dishes from the recommended reviews on here. All types of Asian food are at the top of my list. I could eat it everyday. I spent many years over seas in Japan, Thailand, China and a majority of other far east countries. Finding a quality Chinese restaurant with that authentic flavors and taste is hard to find in the states. My go restaurant use to be located in Poway, Wongs Wok. They had the truest authentic Chinese food in SoCal. My wife found Chef K in Murrieta and we decided to give it a shot. I mean come on, I said I love Asian food and it's my go to food. The portions were extremely large and well worth the value. Their Hot & Sour soup was by the best I have had in the states. Their lunch menu could be two meals for one person. The Noodles were absolutely amazing and no soy sauce needed. I can never pass up potstickers either. OMG the potstickers were extremely well portioned in sized. I mean these suckers were the size of two put together from other restaurants. The sauce, was absolutely amazing. Rest assured, Chef K is awesome and well worth experiencing. We decided to give Chef K a try last night after a long day at work. We were so pleased with our decision. I ordered the Kung Pao chicken, my husband ordered the garlic chicken and my daughter picked the noodles with vegetables dish. We added to large servings of the hot and sour soup. Let me tell you, the food tasted freshly made and it was delicious. The servings were generous and we had enough for a second and third serving! If you want to order online, go pick up your food and then eat it in the comfort of your home go here. The price in my opinion is appropriate for the cost of food and the serving size you get here. Having been to Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore, Korea and to plenty of restaurants in San Diego, Orange County and Los Angeles especially the San Gabriel Valley. I feel like the value and the quality of food is some of the best for the area. They have the classic Americanized Chinese dishes and a few that are a little more traditional. The reason I gave a one one star is , because the only good thing about this place was the cream cheese Rangoons. First time here never again ! The noodles were all burnt , the honey walnut shrimp was'nt even "HONEY" more like Mayo Shrimp just covered in mayo like the whole thing was mayo !! Saturday 9-27-25. Food was average, we ordered the K6. House Special Pan-fried Soft Noodles and K7. Chicken Pan-fried Soft Noodles, both were very bland and without flavour. If you want any veggies pay the extra money to get them as the cabbage, bean sprout and bok choy were pretty much nonexistent. The noodles did not have any caramelisation. My second time at this location. Both times I ordered from their lunch menu directly on their website. I live nearby so this new location is nice and convenient. I received a text message that my order was ready for pickup within 15-20 minutes of ordering. Their lunch specials are a great value for the flavor and amount of food they give you. It includes your choice of appetizer (egg roll, cream cheese wonton or salted pepper wing) and soup (egg drop or hot & sour) Definitely worth it! I wish I had good news for this place. The young woman who took my order was so sweet and had a kind spirit. She was professional and packed my order perfectly . Unfortunately, this ended up being the worst "Chinese food" I've ever had. I ordered the lunch special with hot and sour soup, wonton, chow mein and tangerine chicken. (Just typing that made me want to gag!) The soup was thick and really gelatinous and I threw it away. The chow mein were these thin, (almost vermicelli sized) dark brown noodles fried in oil, no veggies. Chewed like glue. The wonton looked good but it was sweeeet! WTH??!! Gag worthy! Then the chicken... it was ok, but the pieces were large and creepy but that may have been because the rest of the food was so awful, which then made me wonder where this chicken came from. I threw it all away. Even my fortune cookie was awful. "Happiness is just around the corner". Maybe there's a good Chinese place over there! Honestly, it's pretty hard to mess up Chinese food but they mastered it! Sadly, there's not a chance this place will stay in business! I sure do miss the delicious food Palms had when they were here.
