I bought red caviar and many other products that end up being expired long time ago yet was still sitting on the shelf. you may say that I should have looked at the date, but as a Cali resident for close to 30 yrs I am not used to doing that as I expect store to monitor their product expiration date. caviar had really strong fishy smell and I end up throwing away the whole thing ($50+) and now opens this box of candy and realized that something does not look very good. Other than that they do have good selection of ice cream , but I am not sure it's the reason to return

I was craving it since home, especially when our days here have been sweltering. I had no idea where to get it locally, so I asked in a local Facebook group. I was turned on to Super Tehran, which is right by Costco. How convenient! The staff member behind the counter so friendly and helpful! Someone in the group mentioned which brand to get, but I could only see a tiny bottle that said Ayran. They had bigger sizes, but it said yogurt instead. The staff member was happy to help, and confirmed it's Ayran and mentioned there's a mint one as well. I also spotted a variety of Labne, and he shared with me which one was his favorite of that as well. The store is petite, but was quite busy with people. There were numerous things I wanted to try, but I had a fussy baby in tow, so we had to get home. I will most definitely be back and can't wait to try more! The store was clean, had a wide variety of products, plus everything was well in date (sometimes, with international stores, you find that the products have expired or are close to expiration, but this was not the case here, at least in the dairy products I was looking at). Weather too hot, I didn't have an appetite. Dish wasn't "hot". Slurps: Cup Hot & Sour Soup (comped) -don't know why associate offered it to me. I accepted of course. -came hot off the wok with the usual tofu bits, scrambled egg drops, black fungus, green onions, black pepper & vinegar. No contrast of notes. Love bread. owners are nice. i bring my 3 year old all the time and she gets a freebie once in a while :) she loves shopping there. Becky (i believe that is her name) also bakes, so you will see fresh desserts, pastry and other tasty goodies at the counter. She also bakes professionally / caters which is also nice.
