However, I know wait times can be out the door so plan accordingly. We were dropped off by Uber, but in terms of parking, it's mainly street parking. Overall, the shop is pretty small. They have a handful of tables outside and more seating inside but it's not huge -- hence the longer lines. It's also quite eclectic with serving on plastic McDonald's plates and the music that was playing. We ordered: The ham sandwich, wedge salad, and a delicious pickle cocktail The ham sandwich had excellent flavor! I wish it had a but more ham on it, but overall the flavor was 10/10! The wedge salad had too much salad dressing. I LOVE blue cheese and blue cheese salad dressing but the lettuce to dressing ratio was off. Could have used less as I felt so much went to waste. The thick cut bacon on the salad was the exact salty touch it needed and the fresh dill was such a fresh touch. The pickle cocktail was delicious! I wish I would have ordered another one! It was slightly sweet, but also salty... SO good! Overall, I would highly recommend Turkey and the Wolf and totally stop by again if I were visiting New Orleans in the future.

A handwritten sign taped over the display: Turkey dinner with cranberry, stuffing, potato, smothered in gravy. I brought it home and it was truly a delight, Decadent and delicious; I snacked on it all night. Fast forward to today, it's the day after Pride, I'm hungover and hungry from yesterday's ride. I call Dirty Verti to see if turkey dinner's on the board, Only to be told it's not a regular menu item--my wishes ignored. Who must I talk to to get the turkey dinner back? I hate to say it, but in comparison, the other menu items lack. To Roger, to Sam, to the whole Hatfield family: I'm starving and hungover; please hear my plea. Bring back the Sunday turkey dinner, piled high with gravy. And if possible, this afternoon, please deliver it to me.

He walked us through the menu and the drinks and let us know they actually have thousands of sandwiches. The menu itself is probably 4 to 6 pages, but you can use their app to see all the additional options. I ordered the "Marshawn Lynch" (fried chicken, bacon, BBQ sauce, Sriracha, mustard, and cheddar cheese) and added red onions, peppers, and pickles. My wife ordered a sandwich straight from the app, the "Bad Santa" (chicken fried steak, rich marinara sauce, savory pesto, and provolone cheese). Both sandwiches were incredible. The ordering experience was a bit gruff and rough around the edges, but from then on, everything went right. First, you can hang out in the bar area at Erin Rose (I swear the crowd was friendlier than they looked) and eat there if there's space. I highly recommend their Paradise Peach, which seems to be from a local brewery. The bright, peach flavor of the lager does well to wash down the sandwich in the summer heat. I went with an order of the Braised Beef Debris Poboy and this is hands down not just the best Poboy I've ever had in my life, but the best beef or steak any sandwich I've ever had in my life! I wolfed it down so quickly and have to say the pickled green bean and banana peppers with that spike of horseradish sauce really sent this Poboy soaring! The braised beef was absolutely perfect and tender, amazingly so! I can get a bit picky about beef because I hate it when it's tough or gristly or has too much fatty parts that won't melt down, but I didn't have a problem with any of that. I'm no butcher, but seemed like they used a good part of the beef of what's already a fairly quality cow (Louisiana Wagyu Beef I recall reading) or maybe it was the whole braising process, but I wish I could have this for days! I'm going to be sad going back to Houston and not being able to eat this, but hopefully it'll still be around and just as amazing next time I'm back in town.
