I haven't been to Birdys in a few years, but I saw they were doing a $5 early bird breakfast special. There are 4 things to choose from and we got 3 of them. I was pleasantly surprised by the portions once everything came out. The eggs were very fluffy (you can only get them scrambled). The avocado toast had good integrity and wasn't messy to eat. We dined on a Wednesday morning so the service was prompt and the restaurant space is very well decorated and organized. The patio is also well covered so might not be too bad to sit there even in the summer.

The atmosphere here is amazing! We came for the breakfast board and were not disappointed. We sat outside in the middle of June, and it was hot but they have tons of fans and our waters were always full. Our server was great, and super helpful when guiding us through the menu.

Made my way back ... again lol. Can't get over how cute this place is, but the food and service is also a plus. Menu items were nearly the same as last time, so I opted for an avocado toast this go-round. We also ordered a matcha latte and a breakfast plate. The avocado toast description was a little deceptive but it was still pretty decent. Everything else was A1. See y'all soon!

Don't miss this place for breakfast! A cute sit-down restaurant that has a homey vibe. Options to sit inside or outside (covered patio). Server was friendly and prompt. Iced latte was good. Classic breakfast of eggs, bacon and biscuit was well prepared. However, the rib eye on a homemade bagel should not be missed! Was a 10 minute walk from our hotel in the warehouse district. Consider reservations for peak times.

I come here fairly often because they change the menu seasonally. Today we got 3 items we've never had before and they were great! We particularly loved the chicken bacon ranch sandwich and the butchers hash

Flew into Birdy's for a quick lunch. I was delighted they still had some brunch items on the menu and my wonderful server gave me the scoop. I liked the upbeat yet casual vibe with the Nola charm . Then there was the food: I opted for the traditional eggs Benedict while my colleague chose the Salmon . Both were stellar and I will certainly be back to try more of the delicious eats !! This Birdy actually hit an Eagle !!

We went to Birdie's behind the Bower looking to have a good time--and let me tell you, a good time was had! We were lucky enough to sit in the iconic pink booth with the Birdie sign, which is always a bonus. Our server, Noah, was an absolute blast and added so much fun to our experience--shoutout to you, Noah! Everything we ordered was amazing--from the breakfast board to the Benedicts and avocado toast, every bite was spot-on. The glass they use for the bottomless mimosas is huge, which means they don't have to refill as often (unlike the usual tiny champagne flutes most places use). We also tried a few other drinks like the Bellini and, of course, the espresso martini--and if you've read my previous reviews, you know the espresso martinis kept flowing as they were perfection! If you're looking for a fun, flavorful brunch spot to enjoy with friends, Birdie's behind the Bower is definitely the place. Great food, great vibes, and even better company.

We had reservations. I love the decor and neon sign. We were greeted by the host and seated right away. It took a bit for our server to come. We decided to get an appetizer. I'm a sucker for any board or tower. We ordered the brunch board to split. It was an experience! The waffles were my favorite, but I absolutely loved everything on there. We also split the cochon de lait. I love a good spicy dish, but for brunch/breakfast, I thought it was too spicy. To each their own! The staff were friendly and helpful.

This place gets it right! It's cute and the service is quick. Though the menu isn't large, it's seems sufficient for a breakfast stop. I've been a few times for brunch and am pleased each time. The huevos rancheros and Birdy's burger were absolutely delicious.

Amazing service and yummy food! Our server was on top of things and checked on us frequently. Our food came out in a reasonable amount of time and was delicious. We both enjoyed our meals and the atmosphere. I had the fried chicken biscuit with gravy and my friend had the Elvis French toast. I don't like the "split check" policy but will be prepared the next time we visit by bringing cash. (They will only split the check evenly and only one credit card.) There is outside and inside seating. No stairs to enter the restaurant. I would definitely come back to try out another item off of the huge brunch menu. (Or get the same again!)

Cute brunch spot for the gals! ‍‍‍ Love the indoor and outdoor seating option! There's fans outside so you don't have to worry about the summer heat. The wait was about 10 mins for our iced matcha latte (6/10) but the food was pretty good! My traditional breakfast (8/10) had some apple hickory bacon, eggs, roasted potatoes (the BEST part hands down), toast and some jam to put on top. Their chicken and biscuits were great too! (7.5/10)

Everything appears carefully considered and efficiently executed. The layout is purposeful, the operation is remarkably well organized, the space is impeccably clean, and the presentation of the products is both attractive and inviting. The restaurant's steady stream of customers throughout much of the day is hardly surprising. There is an obvious rhythm and efficiency to the operation, yet it never feels rushed or chaotic. Instead, there is a sense that every component of the business has been thoughtfully orchestrated. The staff further reinforces this impression. They are exceptionally friendly, courteous, and accommodating, but what stands out most is their knowledge. They are able to answer questions, offer guidance, and navigate the extensive menu with confidence, making the experience both comfortable and enjoyable. And the menu itself is a destination. It offers an impressive range of choices, with an appealing variety of meats, sandwiches, sides, and beverages. There is far too much temptation to reasonably expect one visit to be sufficient. In fact, choosing what to order may be the most difficult part of the experience. Their version of the muffuletta an outstanding of the original. Particularly their version of the bread, which was fresh, and warmly toasted renders it a cut above. Cochon Butcher is therefore a restaurant best approached with the intention of returning. One visit gives you an introduction; several visits allow you to truly appreciate the breadth of what they do. The combination of organization, cleanliness, quality, knowledgeable service, and an extensive menu makes Cochon Butcher a particularly impressive example of how a busy restaurant can operate with both efficiency and character.

We ordered the Cochon Muffaletta, which was huge, packed with flavor, and definitely a must-try. The mac & cheese is an absolute MUST--creamy, cheesy, rich, and easily one of my favorite things we ordered. The beer was great too and paired perfectly with the food. The atmosphere is casual, lively, and exactly the kind of place you want to experience while in New Orleans. 5/5 -- great food, great beer, and absolutely worth the visit. I would definitely come back!

Muffuletta and cheesesteak all day!!…read more That's our go to sammiches. Lots of folks, and I mean lots, really like the wow sauce. We think it just ok. The cheesesteak is super tasty, great bread steak sliced thin and cooked just right and American cheese to make melty. The hot muffuletta is one of the best in town. Plenty of meat and olive spread and the toasted muffuletta bread is so good. Service? What service you order at the cashier, not in the back, you pay your money, stay out of the way and wait for your number to get called. It's that simple. Don't wander around in the back looking at the deli counter confused, the place is too small and they don't take your order there. Don't try it, don't think about it, don't even look back there. The cashier is up front thats where you wanna be. When they call your number take your bag and leave. Walk away from the front door then shove it in your face. It's so good. The Poboy here is to die for!…read more Honestly I was a bit intimidated walking through here alone, going past a rowdy crowd of mainly older white Gen X men to end up in this hole of a wall to order through an even smaller hole in the wall service booth. The ordering experience was a bit gruff and rough around the edges, but from then on, everything went right. First, you can hang out in the bar area at Erin Rose (I swear the crowd was friendlier than they looked) and eat there if there's space. I highly recommend their Paradise Peach, which seems to be from a local brewery. The bright, peach flavor of the lager does well to wash down the sandwich in the summer heat. I went with an order of the Braised Beef Debris Poboy and this is hands down not just the best Poboy I've ever had in my life, but the best beef or steak any sandwich I've ever had in my life! I wolfed it down so quickly and have to say the pickled green bean and banana peppers with that spike of horseradish sauce really sent this Poboy soaring! The braised beef was absolutely perfect and tender, amazingly so! I can get a bit picky about beef because I hate it when it's tough or gristly or has too much fatty parts that won't melt down, but I didn't have a problem with any of that. I'm no butcher, but seemed like they used a good part of the beef of what's already a fairly quality cow (Louisiana Wagyu Beef I recall reading) or maybe it was the whole braising process, but I wish I could have this for days! I'm going to be sad going back to Houston and not being able to eat this, but hopefully it'll still be around and just as amazing next time I'm back in town.
