Wow, I had an excellent breakfast experience at Birdy's! I ordered a Vanilla Iced Latte and it was strong and flavorful. I was not expecting the coffee to be that good! Birdy's has Early Birdy Breakfast Specials and has certain menu items from 9am to 10am Mondays through Fridays. I ordered the classic breakfast from this menu. The classic breakfast comes with scrambled eggs, bacon, toast, and home fries. It was simple, but delicious. In addition to the classic breakfast, I shared the biscuit board with a friend. The biscuits were so good, but the whipped honey butter was the star of the show, and I could not stop eating it. I cannot wait to go back to Birdy's and explore the menu! read more

I visited this restaurant after finding it on Yelp and was excited to try the steak and eggs with bottomless mimosas advertised on the menu. Unfortunately, the experience fell short of expectations. As someone with low vision, navigating unfamiliar spaces can be challenging. From the moment I arrived, the host (who also became my server) was not particularly welcoming and offered no assistance despite it being obvious that I was struggling to maneuver through the restaurant. Throughout the meal, service remained minimal, and I rarely saw my server. To make matters worse, the steak and eggs I came specifically to order were unavailable. While I understand restaurants run out of items, it was disappointing given that it was one of the main reasons I chose this location. When I was ready to leave, I asked for a to-go box because I couldn't finish my meal. Instead of offering assistance, my server simply brought me a container and walked away. Because of my visual impairment, boxing my own food isn't always easy, and a small gesture of help would have gone a long way. As a result, I ended up leaving food behind. The saving grace of the experience was another waiter who was incredibly kind and attentive. He made sure my mimosa glass stayed full, checked in regularly, and even provided a mimosa to go. His customer service is the reason this review isn't significantly lower. The patio atmosphere was also less relaxing than I had hoped. During brunch, a group of children were running through the dining area, weaving between tables and chairs while the adults paid little attention. It created a chaotic environment that made it difficult to enjoy what was supposed to be a peaceful meal. On a positive note, the black beans, pico de gallo, and mimosas were enjoyable. Overall, between the disappointing service, unavailable menu item, lack of accommodation, and noisy atmosphere, I don't see myself returning. read more

I haven't been to Birdys in a few years, but I saw they were doing a $5 early bird breakfast special. There are 4 things to choose from and we got 3 of them. I was pleasantly surprised by the portions once everything came out. The eggs were very fluffy (you can only get them scrambled). The avocado toast had good integrity and wasn't messy to eat. We dined on a Wednesday morning so the service was prompt and the restaurant space is very well decorated and organized. The patio is also well covered so might not be too bad to sit there even in the summer. read more

I visited here for the first time about a week ago on a Friday afternoon. There was free nearby street parking. We had reservations but ended up not needing it. There's indoor and outdoor seating. We sat inside. The staff person who tended to our table was friendly and helped with recommendations. I ordered the Graceland French Toast with all the toppings on the side. I ordered a side of lightly scrambled eggs and a cappuccino. I enjoyed everything that I ordered and would order it again. We did have to grab our staff person to check out because we were waiting for our bill for a while and no one came. This wasn't a big issue for us though because we were chit chatting and enjoying ourselves. Overall I had a very good experience here. read more

We were lucky enough to sit in the iconic pink booth with the Birdie sign, which is always a bonus. Our server, Noah, was an absolute blast and added so much fun to our experience--shoutout to you, Noah! Everything we ordered was amazing--from the breakfast board to the Benedicts and avocado toast, every bite was spot-on. The glass they use for the bottomless mimosas is huge, which means they don't have to refill as often (unlike the usual tiny champagne flutes most places use). We also tried a few other drinks like the Bellini and, of course, the espresso martini--and if you've read my previous reviews, you know the espresso martinis kept flowing as they were perfection! Amazing service and yummy food! Our server was on top of things and checked on us frequently. Our food came out in a reasonable amount of time and was delicious. We both enjoyed our meals and the atmosphere. I had the fried chicken biscuit with gravy and my friend had the Elvis French toast. I don't like the "split check" policy but will be prepared the next time we visit by bringing cash. (They will only split the check evenly and only one credit card.) Cute brunch spot for the gals! ‍‍‍ Love the indoor and outdoor seating option! There's fans outside so you don't have to worry about the summer heat. The wait was about 10 mins for our iced matcha latte (6/10) but the food was pretty good! Bloody Mary was a C+ and the cortado was badly made. Waiter had a small panic attack because a 60 y/o Belgian couple mistakenly ordered the wrong thing. It is a fun spot to hit up for Brunch. Covered outdoor seating and some of the best staff in the area. If no one at your table is Gluten Free-ORDER THE BISCUIT BOARD. You will love it. They are able to do all the fancy coffee drinks both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. My goto breakfast item is the smoked salmon toast. I am not a fan of their waffle, but that is just my personal preference. I like more of a Belgian style and this is not that. It is still good just not what I prefer. Grabbed brunch with some friends on a Sunday morning. Street parking only so plan accordingly. Great little spot with shaded outdoor seating, however, I do recommend going when it's not too hot out. There is indoor seating as well. The service was welcoming, patient and our server made the brunch even greater. She rocked!! We started with the Hibiscus tea which was a little bitter but refreshing. I tried the ribeye and egg bagel which was delicious, despite the ribeye being a little overcooked. The carmalized onions, egg and pastrami honey made up for it. One of my friends got the cured salmon and said it was the perfect selection and size. She said the salmon melts in your mouth. My other friend had the blackened tuna BLT and said it was well cooked with a lot of flavor, great pairing. All dishes came with some form of side salads, which were all fresh as well. We arrived to this restaurant around 9am on a Sunday. Our waitress was great and super attentive. We took a quick photo in front of the birdy's sign and the waitress was so nice about it and actually took a really great photo. I ordered the fried chicken biscuit and it was excellent. So tasty and well seasoned. The biscuit part of the sandwich was like mini biscuits split in half, so don't expect to be able to pick your chicken biscuit up to take a bite out of it. It's a cozy restaurant in the Garden District. It has a lovely patio for outdoor dining. We stayed in and were very happy. Let's talk food...we started with a Bellini and a Mimosa. I loved the peachy Bellini. My husband was indifferent about the Mimosa but he said the coffee was good. We both ordered the traditional breakfast. He had their homemade tots. They were just hash browns rolled into a ball and fried. He really enjoyed them and I didn't think they were so great. The inside wasn't done enough for me. We were both really happy with the thick sliced toast and the strawberry jam. We were both happy with our eggs and bacon. Be aware you only get two slices of bacon. Since bacon is my guilty pleasure we ordered a side of it. We also ordered a side of avocado. Our eggs were cooked just the way we like them. Dan provided excellent service.
