I picked up food from there with two other people. I got the gyro plate, and my dining partners each got the gyro sandwich. They pile on the gyro meat! It was really good, and we all enjoyed our meals. The Greek salads were great as well, and the fries were delish (probs shouldn't have gotten them to go bc they were a bit soggy, but were still so good). 4 years ago i used the words "best breakfast burrito in Denver" Why? It was a combination of all the things. Green sauce, shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes sourcream and a heaping portion of hash browns. The whole package. We stumbled in here one Saturday evening without reservations and didn't have any trouble getting a table. It was actually relatively quiet. Our server was friendly, but the service was on the slow side. We both enjoyed our meal and it was reasonably priced. The flaming cheese was cool! After we finished eating, we left our drinks on the table and our coats on our chairs and went over to look at the desserts in the case. The busser, who had been to our table previously and passed by us at the desert case, proceeded to clear our table including our unfinished wine. Really? Obviously we hadn't left. They have plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, and their waitstaff is fast and friendly. My friend and I ordered the gyro plates along with the fried mushroom and zucchini appetizer. This was quite a lot of food - so be prepared. I'm not someone who usually needs to take food home, but this time I did. Everything tasted fine, it's not the greatest gyro you'll ever have, but it's not too bad. The pita had a good texture and consistency to it. My daughter and I have been coming here for years. It's not easy finding good Greek food in Denver. We love the staff and the food. My daughter had a medical procedure done today and all she wanted was soup and saganaki. The chef said no to a carry out saganaki so I asked for the cheese and some lemon as she knew how to make it at home. Again, no. The server was very kind but the chef doesn't know how to please his customers. I should have ordered it while I waited for my carry out then ask for a box. Visiting a friend in Denver this past weekend & needing a brunch spot that is delicious without the hour+ wait, we stumbled upon Zorbas and were so happy that we did! When we got to Zorbas we were starving and got right down to business and started studying the menu. There were SO many enticing entrees, I had a very hard time deciding; but went with the vegetable omelette that comes with toast and hash-browns. It was delicious- and they did not skimp on the veggies- the eggs were packed full. The space itself is a little crowded- we had a table in the middle of two rows of booths, and it was a tight squeeze for people walking between the booths and our table. Our waitress was very nice and friendly and was able to carry multiple dishes of food out at once (something that has always amazed me). Looking forward to my next trip to Denver - I'll want to go back to Zorbas to try their greek salad! read more

I've come here once before and enjoyed the fried zucchini and mushrooms so I decided to come again for Sunday morning brunch. The restaurant was extremely busy which may have been why I had a less than ideal experience but I'm just not sure. The glass of water that I got when I sat down was dirty with something stuck to the inside. I asked the waitress for a replacement and she very quickly and politely replaced it which I appreciate but it's still difficult to get over the feeling of being served a dirty cup. Later when I ordered a coffee, I also got a bowl of creamers that was also dirty with some sort of coffee or other stain on it. I also ordered falafel which came out frozen on the inside. When I informed the waitress she once again quickly and politely brought out a fresh hot batch which I really appreciated. I know this place is extremely popular and beloved and I don't doubt there's good reason for that. I would maybe just recommend not visiting during weekend mornings when they tend to be busiest and seem to be quite careless. read more

My wife and I have been coming to zorbas for years. We first discovered it when she was pregnant with our first child and now that we have two kids zorbas feels like family! From the brunch to the wine nights to now their amazing happy hour, we go there any time of day and have a great experience. Steve has been our guy since day 1 and now that we've known him almost 5 years he always knows what to recommend to us and what to order for our toddler. Zorbas wouldn't be the same without him. Our summer tradition is to go to zorbas Friday night for happy hour with friends. This is our neighborhood place. It's been around for eons. Has a wobnderful outdoor patio and also seats a lot of people indoors when it's too cold (or snowing) for outdoor seating. I love a place I can order breakfast at all hours. That's what a diner should be. The people are friendly and no pressure to turn over a table. My favorite server is Steve. The chicken and rice soup is very good, but better the earlier in the day you can get it (it gets thicker the longer it sits, very common for this soup regardless of who makes it.) my first visit was a bit frustrating because I couldn't get the wait back to pay my tab. I go to Zorba's often on Saturday or Sunday's for breakfast. We were a party of 4 that went tonight after the Denver Botanical Gardens Christmas light show. It was disappointing on many levels. A member of the staff stated that the Botanical Gardens were sending them business when they only had 2 wait staff and 1 bus boy. I would think that is a good business problem to have but it certainly was not your customers issue. Ordered fries with my entrée and requested that they serve the fries hot as they never have been in the past. The waitress informed us that she could not guarantee that the fries would be hot as they were too busy. I stated I did not want to pay for possibly cold fires so cancel them from the order. When the orders came for our party of 4 at dinner, 1 order was missing. The staff apparently did no seem to realize that only 3 people had food, as we had to identify to them there were only 3 orders delivered and being eaten. The manager cam out and asked what had happened and what she might do. As requested, I started to explain what had happened and the manager immediately started to interrupt with the excuses. My response was I thought you were interested in the issue that you yourself came to our table to asked. Had to request water each time we wanted a glass refilled. Update -- (just now saw your response) I appreciate the response but it was almost empty the day I was there, a lot of staff hanging around doing nothing with very few customers, and I'm happy to be understanding of the less-than-ideal times when I'm not paying $20 for a salad. Also, I preferred the old floor plan with the open wall in the middle, now it looks like a cafeteria. That's just my preference, others might like the new way. Because of your kind response I'm adding one more star for now and will certainly add more if it's better next time --- Not as good as when Jimmy was here. Mostly excellent Greek salad, but I only saw my waitress once at the beginning of the meal, I had to keep flagging down others (who struggled to ignore me) to get a straw, salad dressing (which was not with salad), napkin, sweetener, you apparently have to ask for everything one at a time, not cool. I had to go up and offer to pay because I never got a check. I could have walked out without paying and no one would have noticed, and there was a Denver cop having lunch in the restaurant. Plate was too small for such a large salad, veggies should be served in smaller pieces so you're not fighting to try to cut a whole slice of onion at the table. Comes with dolmas (grape leaves) but only one, there really should be 3 on a plate like this, and at least 2 because the menu says plural. Should use ripe tomatoes not pink. Not much room in the booths, the table almost presses into your stomach, and I am thin. Minor annoyances that made an otherwise delicious meal way more aggravating than it needed to be. I would be willing to try it again sometime to see if I just got a bad day. read more

Love a good Greek diner! My S.O. is an old school Denver fella and is always talking about Zorba's--it's his go-to quick breakfast and meeting spot in our neighborhood. He finally coaxed me into giving it a try this past weekend while on the same block for some hardware needs, and I'm so glad I tried it! Service was outstanding and my late breakfast was super solid. We arrive around 2 pm on a Sunday afternoon and the nice gentleman inside (I think maybe the owner?) told us to find a spot anywhere we'd like. It was a gorgeous day so we snagged a spot on their patio outside and were given menus and waters. We each got a cup of diner coffee and a big carafe to keep refilling it. The menu here, like a lot of Greek places, is really long and even has some Mexican food options! Kind of quirky, but I'm into it. I ordered two eggs over easy and that's it, but they threw in some hash browns just to be nice. Everything was really tasty--I also love all of the hot sauces that are provided on the table without having to ask for them, as I'm realllllly into spicy things. Our server was incredibly kind and helpful--we were in, out, and on our way in 45 minutes or so. Prices are fair and they even have wine here--I'll have to be back for that and a late afternoon sammie sometime soon. Glad I tried this neighborhood staple! read more

I honestly feel that this restaurant deserves more than a 3 1/2 stars. I remember the first time going here, I was about 8 or 9 and this place was the first time I have ever tried a gyro and it was a positive experience. Ever since then my dad and I make trips there as a treat to go get some gyro's. I really like the atmosphere there, it's in a nice, cute neighborhood, the waitresses are nice, and the food is warm and delicious. I haven't tried the breakfast and I think this place got 3 1/2 stars for it's breakfast not being so great, but go try the gyros at Zorba's, the peta bread is soft, the meat is warm, the sauce is not too salty or sour and the vegetables are nice :) So GO TRY THE GYROS NOT THE BREAKFAST! read more
