    Found this place by accident!
    Bree H.

I stumbled across this spot by accident and I was ready to eat as I love me some mariscos! I arrived around 7 pm on a Monday and the restaurant was nearly empty with one other table. I expected no different being a Monday. Two different salsas are served immediately. The avocado salsa was delicious, the traditional one was decent but it was lukewarm. I ordered shrimp ceviche but was given a shrimp cocktail, no biggie is was pretty good. Lots of flavor and didn't require any doctoring at the table. My friend ordered the steak tacos which were huge! I tried a bite and the meat was tasty and they were dressed with a spicy salsa. They had tons of menu options that looked good. The restaurant has a full bar with lots of drink options. It was a bit dark inside which I don't love, but not a deal breaker. The server was very sweet and attentive. All in all it was a decent restaurant.

Thank you Rosie for the great customer service. Very attentive to our table. The food was great. Everything was fresh and tasty

Amazing food, great service! This has become my weekly spot. The red snapper Frito is so good!! The asada is just as amazing!

Loved it, music good, food good, service good. Definitely give this place a try. Reminded me of those og Mexican restaurants.

My review is based of the breakfast food i didn't try their seafood so please take that in mind reading this. I have yet to find the spot that has the best chilaquiles. They all suck and i really had high hopes for this place but it all fell flat the moment they brought out the Aqua Fresca and it was not it. The horchata tasted super milky and i asked for a Jamaica but got an aqua de pepino con limón. Which is okay, i didn't bother asking for a new one since it was just one waitress and their were people there. Just left it at is. But both of the drinks super sweet but the pepino con limón was horribly sweet. I couldn't drink either of them and neither could my husband. Just got a water in the end. I will say their tortillas are handmade because they brought some out with my hubbies food and they were great. The huevos con nopal was okay, not amazing but it was decent so we're the chilaquiles. Food was mediocre at best. I would come again to give the seafood a chance, but definitely not the breakfast again And definitely no drinks lol

Cielo , Mar y Tierra with plastic tide inside!
    Roxy S.

No starts at all, my plate has this plastic thing inside and I almost eat it! Yet the manager offered 30% off THAT plate! Not knowing I could have chocked but I guess that was worth 30%!! Which was worth $6.00 Their happy hour price is not the same so don't fall under those prices! No wonder this place is so empty all the time.

Wet burrito with Chorizo. So delicious!!
    Michelle S.

I phoned my order in for pick up and spoke with a very nice young lady. She took my order of a wet burrito with chorizo and red sauce. So i asked how long until ready and she told me 10-15 minutes. I arrived 15 minutes later and sure enough it was ready. The burrito was so good! It was Fantastic in fact!! The staff was so awesome they even sent me home with both red and green sauce in sealed containers. I highly recommend this restaurant and I plan to go back soon!

    Ceviche Cocktail

This CEVICHE COCKTAIL is to die for! I don't know how i didn't think of this! Super smart super delicious. The ambiance is cool too , Tv everywhere but also cool paintings and furniture. No problems with the service.

Slap me silly. Where was this place hiding? The answer is more obvious, once you know we have a favorite restaurant just a few doors down, so frankly I was wearing blinders. That, and I always toss out the question, does Corona really need yet another Mexican restaurant? No. Unless it is a good one. So take a glance up to my star rating, actually a true 3.5, which is exactly where the remainder of Yelpers have rated it at the time of this review. We have visited it several times now. First of all, it is cute and colorful inside, Ensenada-ish, and more importantly, clean. The atmosphere is festive, with lively "um pa pa" Banda music, (https://youtu.be/6kCkEuCgmcU), coming from a modern juke box. They advertise a real mariachi singer on the weekend. This is a great place for large groups, with massive tables, and there is a small bar where you can imbibe, and not just beer. But you really want to know about the "eats" here, right? Camarones Cucarachos - my preferred dish here, even though it comes as an appetizer. The large platter of shrimp comes with the shell and head still on, and is drenched in a dry rub mix then fried. The shrimp are sweet and difficult to resist. Carne asada - I was impressed with the tenderness of this dish. I have only had it once, but a second time is in the making. Carnitas - The carnitas was good, but I have fallen in love with another local carnitas restaurant. I am holding out for the other place. Chile verde - Not their best dish. Just ok. Chicken limon - This was also, just ok. Easy to overcook, and it was. I spent a lot of time trying to give it a lemony flavor to compensate for the dryness, but it just did not happen. Chuletas rojo - just ok. Camarones mojo de ajo. I say, stick with the Cucarachos appetizer. The shrimp is better prepared. 2 kinds of salsa, a tomato based and a tomatillo based. I was not impressed with the former, the latter I loved at first, but it varied in spiciness each time we visited until I was unable to tolerate the heat anymore.

It's missing that Mexican authentic taste. The salsas are bland, and I was served raw shrimp.

It included peach, pineapple, strawberry, cranberry, orange, pomegranate, and I think mango (can't remember the last one, sorry!). I love that the glasses were actually filled. I watched them make them, and it's a majority of champagne with just a splash of juice. Chilaquiles: This has become my absolute favorite breakfast dish lately, so I try it everywhere. It was very yummy here! It comes with eggs, and I added steak for some extra protein. The presentation was beautiful, too. Highly recommend! Steak & Eggs: My friend ordered a dish that had a different name on the menu, but it was essentially steak and eggs. She said it was absolutely delicious. The bathroom was clean, and I noticed they have a changing table available as well, which is always a great plus. Overall, I had a really good time eating, drinking, and talking here. The chips are fresh, super thin and crisp, lightly salted. The salsa one of my favorites. I don't know why others cannot make them the same. I can see a plate of impeccable nachos in my future here. Camarones, Mojo de Ajo style, no head, no shell. The shrimp were nice sized, but obviously overcooked. Mr B said that a couple even tasted old as well. Too bad. On the other hand, the sides, beans and rice, were sensational. Done beautifully, with very rich flavors, I would come here just for those two items. My garlic shrimp burrito was filled with smaller sized shrimp than his, their awesome rice, some fresh salsa, and a pink dressing (?). The shrimp tasted fine, not overcooked, but not overly garlicky. And usually I dislike rice in my burritos, but this combination was an exception, a real winner. I recall having an amazing carnitas here on past visits that I really must revisit. Hmmm. This is beginning to sound like a carnitas nacho plate would be the right thing to do. The interior is very attractive with their colorful and vibrant murals. Great World Cup soccer playing on their TV. The server was absolutely attentive. A good little place worth s return visit.

The asada was good, but it was not my favorite. I have a thing with chewy fatty pieces and I understand it is common in lower quality cuts of flap meat. This asada had quite a few pieces I had to spit out because it was just too chewy. The refried beans were good, also not my favorite though. The quesadilla was good, I liked the grilled cheese cooked prior to folding it into the tortilla with the meat. Nice touch. That grilled cheese makes a huge difference. The next 3 taco plate had pastor, asada, and shrimp (except they actually gave me fish instead). At least my girlfriend enjoyed the fish taco as well. The tacos were loaded with meat and hard to pick up. That's the best! The pastor was tender and juicy. The fish taco was freshly fried and loaded with toppings and sauce.
