the interior of a coffee shop

If ya like diners and want some good old home cooking and hospitality then Chef's restaurant is the place for you! Running on second generation they carry the torch of providing great nostalgic coffee shop/diner food like no others in the area at great prices, generous portions with super friendly service. Excellent large breakfast menu plus lunch and dinner with lots of daily and seasonal specials. Go down memory lane with this nostalgic wonder charming establishment. Save the diners and coffee shops of the world!. Don't forget to get a slice of one of their homemade pies!

Biscuit and gravy that came with our breakfast

I lived in Arcadia for 30 plus years and I've always driven by Chef's tell myself that I need to try so today was the day that we came to this charming old school diner. There was a coupon in the Arcadia Quarterly so we decided to give it a try. I ordered the Hobo Omelette with bell peppers and my boyfriend got their Corned Beef Hash and Eggs. Each plate came with Biscuit and gravy. There was so much crazy. I thought it was soup at first. The food was lightly salted, which is perfect because then we can control how much salt we put in the food. Everything was really good and their service was awesome. They kept the coffee and the tea is coming. If you're looking for an old diner field with good food, give Chef's a try.

First time visiting shift, coffee shop. Went for breakfast before soccer practice and had great service. Staff was friendly gave us a lot of information about the various special. We wanted to try all the basics. So we ordered two budget friendly specials, number one and number two. The portion size for a budget meal was good. We enjoyed it and will definitely be coming back. I love the feeling of seeing retirees enjoying the café/coffee shop dining experience. It was good to see them all laughing and chatting with their friends and family.Food came out faster than I expected. I appreciated the various creamer flavors they had. I have not seen Irish cream and caramel macchiato creamers in a very long time. We will definitely be coming back again to try their lunch menu.

Steak and eggs

One of my favorite comfort meals on a cold and rainy day is steak and eggs. And one of the best place to fulfill this craving is always Chef's. The steak is juicy and tender paired with O'Briens, eggs, and toast is definitely the chef's kiss. Portions are huge and prices are affordable. The staff is friendly and helpful. Definitely will be back!

The food was pretty ok, I really liked the French toast but probably won't get the omelette again. The service was alright also, a lot of younger people, they didn't come to refill our coffee or water at all and it wasn't busy but oh well. But over all it was an ok experience, I think it gets a little busier on the weekends as well

The biggest and best waffles I've ever seen I am never disappointed a great breakfast

Texas Omelette, Denver Omelette, and Homemade Biscuits and Gravy.

If you're looking for an old school diner feel breakfast then this place is great! It's got such an authentic old timer feel. There's plenty of parking in the back. Wait times vary but whenever we have gone and needed to wait for seating it didn't take longer than 5-10 minutes. Their table turnover times are very quick. I usually get some kind of omelet here and they are all very good. This time around I got a Texas omelet which comes with peppers, onions, and chili on top. My fiancé got the Denver Omelet which has a lot of veggies. Tip: get the salsa on the side. It goes great with that dish. The biscuits and gravy are super yummy too. I would just recommend salting the gravy. Service if very friendly and quick!

Yelp says you're open until 9 p.m. Google says you close at 2 p.m. Which is it? If you're open for dinner, I'll start coming in again.

We stop our inside seating at 1:30PM and close at 2PM. We still serve our dinner menu from 11AM- 2PM. Hope we see you soon.

Is parking ok?

Yes, there is usually plenty of parking. It is located behind the restaurant.

The quality of their teas are also regarded as high-quality as you can taste the genuine tea fragrances in the drink despite the added milk or toppings. They have unique tea flavors and toppings that differentiates them from so many other boba houses in the 626 area. 1. Pistachio Coconut Velvet (5/5) A summer/seasonal drink that is worth raving about. It's super refreshing from the coconut water, yet creamy and luxurious from the velvety pistachio cream. They are generous with the pistachio bits that they coat on top of the pistachio foam. I devoured this drink it less then 2 minutes and almost went back for a 2nd cup. 2. Tea-cube Special (5/5) This is a simple, yet, satisfying cup of traditional milk tea. It's made from a black tea base + milk + tea-cube topping. The tea-cube is made from fresh tea then made into a jelly cubes. Super creative, yet delicious. It pairs well with almost any milk tea based drinks. 3. Mango Pomelo Sago (4/5) If you like mangos and like fruity drinks, then this is a good choice. It comes with sago toppings, which pairs well with the drink. When it's fresh and icy, it's super refreshing. However, if you wait too long and it melts, the drink can get a bit too sweet. 4. Osmanthus Rice Milk Tea (4.5/5) This drink is a Jasmine tea base with osmanthus rice paste, milk and crystal boba. You certainly can taste the osmanthus flavor. My favorite thing to do is get it with their house-special tea-cubes. My go-to boba place whenever I am in the area.

The interior has a modern and classy feel. There's a tree with everyone's wishes and hopes. The store itself is super clean. The menu was extensive and had so many options. The ordering kiosk displayed all the choices aesthetically and had appropriate descriptions. I liked how you could choose what kind of tea you'd get for some drinks (jasmine or black tea!) The tea cube special sounded unique so I gave it a try. It had a strong tea taste. The tea cubes were squishy and had a firm jelly texture. This drink would definitely fall more towards the chocolatey side. I felt that it was still sweet at 25% sugar, but I'd still get it again! I haven't stopped thinking about the drink since I had it yesterday. Definitely will need to stop by again soon to fix my craving for it.

I kept thinking, *"How many boba shops do we really need?"* One thing that stood out was their ordering system - they don't use the usual percentage options for sweetness and ice. Instead, they have "Perfect Sweet" and "Perfect Ice." Whatever that means, right? I was still skeptical. I waited until I got home so my wife and I could try it together. Mind. Blown. Even though it's a bit of a drive for us, we've already gone back three times in a month. That might not sound like much to some people, but for us to make a special trip just for boba says everything. It's not the fastest. You'll probably wait 5-10 minutes in full, but perfection takes time, and it's absolutely worth it. Suggestion: a stamp or loyalty card would be awesome. No disrespect to the brand, but I think the real Torotea fans would appreciate it.

They provide self-serve water outside of the store in the case that there is a long wait. Fortunately, this has never been the case when I have visited. The employees were also super helpful and very well-versed with their menu. They knew exactly what drink paired well with what jelly. All the drinks are true to the taste profile as described on the website. The Popcorn Milk Tea with Brown Sugar Tapiochi is one of the most popular items and it was indeed very buttery. It had a very unique taste profile, but definitely not for me. I personally really really really enjoyed the Misty Oolong MT which had a light-roasted, malty flavor with subtle buttery highlights. It paired perfectly with the osmanthus jelly. The best drink Torotea has to offer by far!

What keeps me coming back, though, is the consistently friendly service and the outstanding quality of the drinks. **Wintermelon Green Tea with Boba: 5/5** This was an exceptionally well-balanced drink that showcased the best of both flavors. The wintermelon contributed a subtle smoky, caramelized sweetness with delicate sweet gourd notes, while the green tea balanced it beautifully with a floral, earthy finish that kept the drink light and refreshing. Soft and pleasantly chewy, the boba provided the perfect textural contrast to the fragrant tea. I also really appreciated how accommodating the staff was. They happily customized my drink by blending green tea with the wintermelon and even had me sample it beforehand to make sure the flavor was exactly what I was looking for. That level of care and commitment to quality is something you don't see everywhere. After countless visits over the years, Nest Tea continues to be one of the best boba shops in the area. From its thoughtfully crafted drinks to its attentive service, every visit has been consistently enjoyable.
