A great alternative for breakfast food. Very affordable, usually no wait and feels a lot more cozy than a Dennys/IHOP. The sausage was the best part, it was cooked perfectly to have a slightly crispy outside skin but soft and flavorful on the inside. The pancakes were just right too, not too large and had just the right amount of fluff. You can't go wrong with the eggs either. I consider myself sort of a big eater but I left here more than satisfied. Friendly servers, nice decor and easy to read menu. Parking is easy too, just park in the back.

First time trying this place and I was expecting more. They had a variety of breakfast food, pancakes, omelettes, chicken and waffles, and your other typical breakfast foods. They have a blend of American and Hispanic breakfast foods which is unique. The prices for the kind of food were a tad bit too expensive for me personally. The place inside was also kind of dark and the decor was imo tacky. The service was regular and the food was decent. I wanted the gas browns to be a bit more crispy but they were just cooked. If I was a fan of Hispanic breakfast I would go here again, but if I'm looking for regular breakfast food, I would just go somewhere else.

Servers were friendly, greeted us upon entering. Restaurant is clean and spacious. They accommodated us in replacing beans to fruits and tomatoes instead of hash browns. The food was tasty and my friend liked her Ribeye Picado & Eggs.

The service is always friendly, thank you Antonio & Erica - and the food is always great! Everything we've tried here has been delicious, and we've never been disappointed. The flavors are consistently amazing, and the quality is always on point. And whatever you order, make sure to get a waffle on the side--it's the perfect addition and absolutely worth it! Also - great music choices to create a good ambiance.

Finally made it to check out Marko's. Enjoyed our brunch. Food was delish and ambiance was great! My friend enjoyed her breakfast burrito and I enjoyed my ribeye steak picado. Flavor was really good. Loved the decor. One room was cozy and more elegant and one side was bright and breakfasty. Service was excellent too!

Huge portions and delicioussss!!! The downside is that it's kinda stuffy inside the restaurant and I definitely left smelling like fried food for the rest of the day! I believe this is a family run business and everyone was friendly!

I ordered to go, I appreciate that they sell breakfast items after 1pm. However my breakfast burrito fell short of what I've had before. The bacon was completely minced into the eggs so it was more of an omelet with hash browns rather than a burrito with nice bites of everything individually. I was surprised my burrito came with a pancake but it was raw in the middle. I think they were trying to get my order out soon Bc the cashier said "your order is coming out soon", I was in no rush at all but it came out pretty fast. The service was great though so I'm sad I had to give a low rating. I'll have to try this place again as a sit down to give a better review

We discovered Marko's recently and are so glad we did, it was the perfect spot to fuel up before our weekend road trip! We were seated right away, and the service was warm and friendly. The Café de Olla was incredible and just what I needed to start the morning. I ordered the chicken chilaquiles with green sauce, which was flavorful without being too spicy. It was perfect for someone like me who can't handle too much heat. My husband went with the bacon breakfast burrito, and we both appreciated how it wasn't overly greasy like others we've had. Every bite had a balanced mix of ingredients, and he absolutely loved the house sauce that came with it. He said he'd buy a whole case if they ever bottled it! We're definitely coming back since breakfast is served all day, and we're excited to check out their Duarte location as well.

I have always like trying new places and saw this corner restaurant many times from driving by it. So I decided to stop by today. Walked into the restaurant with positive vibes but then the smoke coming out was strong. No check-in tablet/sheet or host greeting, so we waited behind a family of 5 to be seated and waitress asked to wait...15 min later, another couple came in and went straight to the chef and asked if they can be seated - to which they were told to be sit anywhere they want! First of all, we waited and were told to wait- but this couple came in and seated themselves. She noticed that I was annoyed and said she will get us a table. That moment should've been a sign to walk out! But I want to try this place....so here we are. Waitresses (2 only) appeared to be overwhelmed and stressed. Ordered foods were delayed as many tables are still waiting for their food. We were finally seated but no menus provided. I feel bad for the overwhelmed staff but I have been patiently waiting for a while, to top it off, no one came back to take orders until I asked for service. All these waiting were draining my energy. Almost 30 minutes later (yes seriously), we got our food and were disappointed to see that it took that long for these two simple dishes to come out. The only part I liked was the hash browns - not greasy or burnt.. but the omelette was flat and not fluffy. Overall, it was just meh....and at the end, waitress apologized for the wait and stated that it's their first time getting busy. Like I said, I feel bad for her....its a miss this time

Super nice waitress and the food was so good, we were able to try their buttermilk pancakes complimentary. Super delicious and flavorful. My veggie burrito needed to be adjusted to have the eggs on the side and the beans in The burrito and they made sure it was perfect inside. The green juice tasted really good and healthy.

TL;DR/ summary: from my experience of brunch, I like this place. Fair price and good food. Service is slightly on the slower side but it's not as bad as other reviewers make it out to be. Also disclaimer: I forgot to write a review shortly after my visit so I'm going off low resolution memory. The core impression I had was, this place is pretty good and I'd come here again A new-ish local brunch and dinner joint. I live nearby and have been curious about trying this place out as it used to be a Mediterranean(?) place called Alladins for many many years. The hours are a little funky so I always seem to miss them when I want to go out for food, so that's one call out. I think the hours are healthy for the staff and owners but it's different and slightly inconvenient as a customer. That's just a random thought. Anyways, check their hours before you go. Before I went, I read many reviews and a lot of them had great experiences. There were also recurring negative or lukewarm reviews they shared the common theme of slow or absence of service and things not being flavorful or wow enough. I kept that in mind and went there not being super hungry so any delays wouldn't bother me. The service wasn't instant or as fast as I would like. Seems like there are some teenagers or younger staff (maybe family?) that aren't quite as fast for what you expect in the restaurant industry or have solidified roles, so they hang out in the front. Some other staff also primarily speak Spanish and bus tables. Only 1 or 2 servers I think are veterans and at the level you expect. So I'm guessing the less than enthusiastic reviewers were probably upset that service was slow despite looking so overly staffed yet empty, when in reality it's maybe 1-2 servers max who handle everything. The wait from being seated to getting my order in was a little longer than I expected but I wasn't in a rush. If you are in a rush or need a quick bite, probably don't go to a brunch place/ places that are usually more relaxed. I will dock half a star though. I want to be empathic for the newer staff or kids working there but I didn't see any signage for asking for patience and explaining the circumstances. From a customers perspective, especially one without restaurant knowledge, the service speed does not feel great and this is a business where speed is important. Maybe this will get better with time, it is a newish small restaurant. Let's talk about the food. You can choose your bread if your order comes with it, and the bread felt fresh and quality to me. I very much enjoyed it along with the jam it came with which I believe is house made. It's not thick and sweet, it's more runny and light which maybe some Americans aren't used to and dislike. I thought it was nice. We got a steak, country fried steak, and side of pancakes. I felt both steaks were pretty good. White sauce was really good for my country fried steak. Hash browns were very crispy, eggs cooked correctly, pancake was good, steak correctly cooked and lightly seasoned. The regular steak isn't amazing but okay enough for me. I'm generally very critical of steaks and have strong preferences in how they're prepared, so an okay is actually a good thing. Overall, I thought every thing was average or above average in flavor. I'm not sure why some people have low reviews based on the food. Perhaps their expectations are really high but for diner/ casual brunch, I thought this was good. Price I felt was fair. It's not expensive nor is it cheap/ amazing value. It's within expectations. The chef/ owner will also come out and talk to each table which I thought was both nice and a little awkward. He thanked us for coming and asked us how our food was and if we needed anything changed or cooked differently. I thought that showed heart and consideration, and it was cool, but also I felt like I was put on the spot a little and I wasn't ready for that type of interaction. It's a little polarizing of a choice. I'm more toward the introverted spectrum where I prefer my servers asking and checking up on me less so that's my take. I think this place deserves a solid 4 or 4.5 stars. I'm putting a 4 for now as I do think the service and efficiency could pick up a bit and perhaps the portion size or menu could be enhanced a little. I'll go again to try other dishes and after a refresh of the experience and if I'm impressed again by the food, I'll update to 5 stars.

We sat at a table by the front window facing the main drag. The area definitely has an old town feel with many restaurants and shops up and down the street. There is also a park right across the street. There is plenty of parking around the corner on the street and in a nearby lot. I started out with the Coughlin's Law cocktail (Aviation gin, house infused vanilla syrup, fresh lemon, egg white, lavender bitters, $16). It was a good light drink with light vanilla and lemon flavor. I always love a good foam top too. She started out with a Basil Paloma (Herradura silver tequila, muddled basil & grapefruit, fresh grapefruit juice, lime, simple syrup, seltzer, $15). It had good grapefruit and basil flavor, and was nicely balanced. We ordered the buffalo cauliflower appetizer ($14). The cauliflower was supposed to be grilled, but it seemed almost raw. The buffalo sauce definitely had a good kick. For my entrée, I had the Black Angus Basin Burger (manchego cheese, carmelized onions, arugula, special sauce, brioche bun, $19). The burger was excellent. The cheese, carmelized onions, and arugula was a great flavor combo. The fries were good, but I'd order them more crispy next time. She had the two taco plate with fish and potato tacos ($15). The taco shells were freshly fried, and it was a filling plate that she enjoyed. We had one more round of drinks and I had the Billionaire cocktail (Old Forrester 100 proof bourbon, lemon, house made grenadine, absinthe, $16). This was excellent. It was very balanced, and not boozy at all with a very light sweetness. Her second was the Smoke and Fire (Peloton de la Muerte mezcal, Ancho Reyes liqueur, muddled jalapeno & orange, fresh lime, agave, chili salt, $15). It was pretty well balanced with a medium smokiness. It definitely had a kick of heat on the finish. Our server Lakyn was friendly and provided good service. The menu prices are cash prices. There is an extra 3.5% surcharge if you pay with a credit card. The buffalo cauliflower appetizer was mostly a miss, but everything else was very good so I'm rounding up to five stars.
