Came by here a few nights ago because my husband just wanted to have donuts for some reason (I rarely have cravings for the deep fried sugary confection). And since we were out and about past midnight and didn't want to drive out to Donut Man (Although we should of just done that instead) we just thought we would try our luck at this place since they were still open (not all donut places are open 24 hours). Anyways, we walked in and there were 2 people sitting at a table eating a donut and drinking their coffee. There didn't seem to be much of a selection when we looked through the glass case. But we ended up getting 1 apple fritter, 1 cinnamon roll looking donut and another donut with icing and chopped nuts on top. These donuts were pretty greasy. Now donuts are deep fried, so they aren't going to be healthy. But a good donut should NEVER taste greasy. When we drove home and I saw our white bag with large grease stains, I knew these donuts were going to be pretty heavy. I have this feeling that either the people making these donuts did not filter their oil when they fry their donuts, on a regular basis or they did not let their donuts drain long enough, thus the extra greasy taste and mouth feel left in your mouth after taking just 1 bite. Just one bite made me want to stop eating the rest, and each donut made me feel that way. I honestly, would not want to come back here and try another. But I guess the only positive about this place is that they open late (possibly 24 hours) and are pretty cheap. It only cost $3.55 for 3 donuts (2 of which were a really large size). But of course these positives are not enough to make me want to come back (by the way, this place is CASH ONLY, as with most donut places). read more

They had a large poster (menu) of several different flavors. The first two I chose, they could not make. The last one she said she would do it. It was a vanilla cappuccino. She nodded so I believed I would get what I asked for. I was not happy after what I received looked and tasted like a milk smoothie! I was running late and did not feel like arguing with her. I told her it looks like milk or ice cream and she insisted it was vanilla cappuccino. It tasted fine but was not what I wanted. It didn't even look like anything on the menu. The only reason I'm leaving 3 stars instead of 1 or 2 is they had an autographed picture of the "special guy" from the old TV show LIFE GOES ON. A coworker brought in doughnuts that were really good and he said he got them from here. I don't live in this area, but I was in the area yesterday so I stopped by. Super ghetto area, some guy high on something was right outside. Guy at the counter was nice, although difficult to understand. I walked in and said "Where's all the doughnuts?" They didn't have hardly any.. as it was like 6pm.. and the ones they had didn't look very fresh. They did have my favorite though, chocolate bars. I paid for 6, he gave me 7. I was kind of annoyed he didn't put them in a box though. I was going to eat them over the next few days, and its difficult to keep them fresh and from getting soggy without the cardboard doughnut box. I thought a half dozen would warrant a box, which is why I got that many. Oh well. Regardless, although the doughnuts did not look like anything special.. they taste better than other doughnut shops. I have been to a lot of different doughnut shops as an adult, and none could compare to the doughnuts I remember having as a kid. These do. This is most likely my least favorite donut shop. The owner is there in the mornings and she has been very rude to me. I had once witnessed a health inspector check the place out, and have seen them go from an A, to a B. They've gotten the A back, which is good. But last time I went back, I saw that it went back down to a B. So it goes without saying that they don't follow the necessitates of cleanliness on a regular basis. I would never go back, again. It looked like the parking lot had a number of homeless people in it. The guard at the front of the donut shop looked like he might be a homeless person.
