    Mysore Masala Dosa
    Kamal B.

Wow wow WOW!!!!! If you are looking for authentic South Indian food THIS IS IT!!! I was AMAZED by their chicken 65, super tasty and the fresh onions were spot on! But not to forget the most delicious, the Mysore Dosa!! WOW!!!! A MUST get!!! First, the sambar was absolutely amazing and secondly, the potato filing in the dosa was INCREDIBLE. This place needs more attraction and you gotta go!!

Casual cafe on the left and tiny convenience store on the right for the locals living close by.

This little place is well deserving of its 5 star rating from everyone!! The food is phenomenal!! They say that the best food often come from hole-In-the-walls. Chennai Tiffins definitely lives up to this reputation! Eating with a group of people is more pleasurable when you get a variety of dishes to share. We ordered (feeds up to 4 people): 1. Chettinad Chicken Biryani that my hubby loved. We added the yogurt chutney, which made it taste even better. 2. Chicken Ghee Roast--stellar, mouthwatering dish; boneless chicken served with plain basmati rice. This is a MUST TRY. It's probably the best dish on the menu. 3. Onion Pakoras-- crispy deep fried onions, great for dipping in a variety of chutney. 4. Ask for Yogurt sauce to add to the chicken biryani dishes or as a dip for the pakoras. 5. Saag paneer--creamy spinach with cheese perfectly pairs with a side of 6. Naan or paratha, ordered separately. 7. Mango lassi--flavored with a touch of cardamom and comes in a small cup, but it's super concentrated. I transferred it into a large tumbler and added milk and 2 packs of sweetener. Price is a steal at only $2. Pricing in general is incredibly affordable especially for these complex yet harmonious dishes! (I'm lazy and usually cook simple dishes with only about 6-8 ingredients). Luckily for us living in Limerock, Lincoln, RI it's only a mere 6 minutes drive to Manville! Can't wait to go back often, ha ha. Very popular restaurant. Most people order for takeout, but the dining area is now open. Tons of parking spaces in the front and back. If you love Indian food, I guarantee that Chennai Tiffins will become one of your favorite restaurants!!

Continuing my wife's quest and cravings for South Indian cuisine, we tried Chennai Tiffins. It's in a quiet little residential area and its business is clearly mainly take-out, but they do have a large enough dine-in area to seat several parties comfortably. But be aware, it's in an old building and there are definitely no frills about it. I wanted to start off with their gobi manchurian but they were out of cauliflower (which surprised me a little). My wife had their masala dosa and although the filling was good, she found the crepe to be a bit thick and not quite crispy enough. The accompanying sambar and coconut chutney were excellent, however. I wanted to try their lamb or fish curries, but disappointingly again, neither were available. Feeling a little pressured to choose something (anything, and quickly, cuz their phone's ringing with take-out orders, yikes, hurry up!) by the hovering waiter, I settled on butter chicken and the Indo-Chinese vegetable fried rice. They were fine in flavor but nothing compelling enough for me to make a return visit. Their mango lassi was good and my wife's chai was outstanding (although it took a long time to prepare and was delivered by the time we were finishing our meal). Chennai Tiffins menu is not very extensive - the main focus is clearly on their dosa which was pretty good per my wife. I think I would've rated the place higher had they been able to offer all the items on their menu.

Wow, what a hidden find! Thank you Yelp for helping me find this great spot. I've been looking for Indian food that is delicious but also affordable--this place is definitely it. I ordered chicken tikka masala and the sixty-five chicken and both were amazing. This is now my new go-to for Indian food! Heads up: They currently only do take-out orders for now.

Stopped by on our way to Cape Cod. One of the heartiest South Indian meals I have ever had! We got onion pakora, vada, dosa and kothu paratha. Everything was fresh and delicious and very homely. Definitely coming back.

One of my favorite dishes is Indian and during my travels, I always try to visit Indian restaurants due to the satisfaction it brings you after a meal. And like finding a good plumber, it is tough however a gem when you find one. Finding Chennai Tiffins is located in 359 Old River Rd. Manville, RI with a phone number 4013564471 is a blessing from my brother. A convenience store with a kitchen that serves the BEST AND SATISFYING Indian dishes you could ever have. To top off the excellent Goat Biryani, Chicken Saag, chicken masala, roasted chicken and mango lassi, the price doesn't break your bank, you don't leave with a $$$ bill. Truly a gem that I am willing to drive 45 minutes for.

I had a $25 gift card to spend and thought that would cover most of the total. I get there and they charged me about $80 for TWO items! I didn't say anything at first but now as I write this review I knew something was off. - Chicken Tikka Masala costs $23.00. - Two plain naan is about $12.00. - After taxes I should have only paid about $37.80 or $40 for this food! When I got to the restaurant, they came to the front and asked how I was paying. I said with the gift card. The person cashing me out used some sort of card reader on their iPad kiosk he brought over. To cover the rest of the total I paid with a $50 bill I had, anticipating the total would be more than $25.00. I should have questioned why the total was so insane on the spot! Let that be a lesson for next time! IF THERE IS A NEXT TIME! While the food was really good you really need to speak up if you have any discrepancies with your bill on both dine in and takeout! It should not cost eighty dollars for two maybe 3 items at any Indian restaurant! Beware of this next time you visit Bollywood Grill in Cumberland, RI

There was a larger party that came for the last part of our meal who were on the louder side and let their children run around the restaurant. While not Kinnera's fault it did lead to a lease than pleasant meal. For dinner we had the mango lassi, onion pakora, chicken korma, and paneer masala. I always appreciate when restaurants bring out papadums and chutneys as well which Kinnera did. However, I wasn't a huge fan of the pakora. I didn't get a lot of onion flavor in them and found the dish to be very dry. A sauce would have been a welcome addition. My chicken in the korma was cooked very well as it was nice and tender. For $16 the portions were huge and the meal comes with plenty of rice. I wasn't as impressed with my korma sauce though as I'm used to a creamier base. My significant other said there wasn't a lot of paneer in his masala either. Our service was standard but pleasant. The waiters didn't come over as we were eating and took a while to ask if we wanted the bill. However, they were prompt once we said we were ready for the check. I love Indian food and have had it around the world but I am glad this place is up and running. One day I'd like to try the lunch buffet.

The flavors were great and there was definitely enough food for the two of us. I really liked the music they were playing as well. I constantly found myself dancing along to it. For food I had the chili baby corn for an appetizer, chicken saag, and cheese naan. Chicken saag was also excellent. I prefer mine a little creamier but I loved the fresh taste and generous pieces of chicken.
