We ordered. Tom yum soup,red curry, spicy chicken wings and pad thai. Tom yum soup is sweet, squid is hard to chew. Red curry is very bland. Spicy chicken wing is not cook fully, the sauce they use is the bottled sweet and spicy sauce that you can buy in any store. They just drenched it all over the chicken. Pad thai doesn't even have a hint of peanut or any greens with it. Just bland. This place doesn't deserve 4 stars at all. read more

Our entrees were delicious and full of veggies and chicken. The mango sticky rice was literally the best I've had. I went with my usual doggie dining partner and even though the patio was closed, we were thoughtfully seated right by an open door that was next to the patio. Our chicken Pad Thai (albeit no actual peanuts) was delicious and we brought home some chicken Tom Kha for later. Water was brought for my little girl. The service and kindness of the server were wonderful. The food here was AMAZING! A small family owned business that was not disappointing. The yellow curry and pad Thai were SO GOOD! Their pho was good a bit different from what I'm use to in CA but it was good my daughter ate it all up. I definitely recommend this place and they have a little of everything. In a small elderly town like Florence, it's hard for people to truly appreciate Thai food. When my partner visited me in Phoenix, I introduced him to the world of Thai food, and Best Thai is just as strong as a contender as the place I went to all the time. The waitstaff is nice, comforting and remembers you by face easily. The ambience is nice, some subtle music, but it can be a little tight with room, especially if it's full which typically you're looking at 3-4 tables of people. Overall it's great food. Only knocking it down a star because recently their soda machine broke or got removed and now it's limited to one soda when you're eating spicy food. We were in town celebrating with our graduates from UO. Best Thai was delicious! We enjoyed take out of yellow chicken curry, drunken noodles with chicken and salad rolls. The chicken was cooked so well in both dishes. The salad rolls were fresh and crispy. My husband treated me to a Thai iced tea that rounded out the meal perfectly. Highly recommend. read more

We ordered late in the evening, arrived at the promised to to a friendly greeting, helpful lady had our large order ready to go. The food was delicious with generous portions. We were on a vacation in Florence and I forgot to get pictures. But I loved the Ginger Honey Duck. It was so juicy and flavorful with the perfect hint if Ginger and sweetness. I mixed the rice in the duck juices to get all the yummy flavor. We also had Pad See Ew, Spicy Basil Stir Fry, Green Curry with Tofu and the Tulip Dumplings. Everything was very delicious and dinner time was pretty quiet with sounds if chewing and food being shared. The restaurant was nice sized and I think table service would have been great. Stopped in for dinner after exploring the area and finding the restaurant we intended to eat at had a two hour wait. This is a small place but we were seated right away. They were a bit short staffed but our sweet server was hustling to provide good service. The food was surprisingly bland for Thai and wasn't to our taste or what we've come to love and enjoy about the usual flavors of Thai food. I'm guessing it is however very suited to the retired locals that frequent the place. I was sad to overhear the majority of the elderly white customers being so rude to the server. It's such a small place you can't help but hear entire conversations about being on fixed incomes and not tipping, ordering appetizers and then cracking open an Ensure when they get home, and making fun of the server as if she couldn't speak or understand English , which she absolutely could, it was more often the customer needed to turn up his or her hearing aid to hear the server answer the same question over and over. read more

We were famished and frantically looking for a filling meal mid afternoon when most restaurants r on the verge of closing (around 2 pm). Read the reviews on yelp for this place and it did not disappoint. They have ample parking right outside the restaurant and the restaurant is conveniently located in the middle of 2 major cross roads so it wasnt a long detour. This place was pretty good but we eat a lot of Thai food in various places and Best Thai just doesn't stack up well when compared. We wanted spicy. When asked how hot we wanted out food on a scale from 1 to 5. We both said 6. But, this was some of the weakest heat we've had in the past 5 years. If you take a cup of milk and add a dash of Cayenne pepper and stir - that's their level 5. I went with 5/6, because I like it with a good kick and their spice scale tends to cater to people with a lot less spice tolerance than myself. The spice ended up being juuuuust right with me saying extra spicy! The shrimp were cooked to perfection. Almost every single piece of asparagus was cooked perfect as well. The peanut sauce was flavorful and it created a good balance with the spice from the shrimp. Normally, my go-to dish is their Pad Kee Mao "drunken noodle" with beef (extra spicy as well), but I think this may be my new favorite. I'm a regular because they're the only Thai place in town. The food is decent but not the best I've had but it satisfies the itch for Thai. Yes they are overpriced and should have a lunch menu at lower cost. But what just shocked me tonight is looking at their safety rating. 86 out of 100? That's horrible.
