Honey Walnut shrimp, BBQ pork lo mein, pork egg roll, and sesame chicken
    Kitty H.

We ordered takeout for the second time since the new owners changed the name and menu. We were happy someone took over the old Noodle and Cafe spot and opened up the seating area again. The menu is now more traditional American-style Chinese food. They have chow mein (crunchy noodles), chop suey, and lots of breaded and fried proteins. We're a fan of lo mein and chow fun noodles and they did have some nice veggies with your protein of choice. The orange chicken we had last time was pretty average so we gave the sesame chicken a try this time since it comes with steamed broccoli and it was pretty good. I love honey walnut shrimp so I had to try it. The ratio of breading to spring is probably 2:1 but it was fun to try. They have a variety of combos that a generous size for $12.50-$16.50 so they would be a good deal for 1-2 people if you wanted to try a few things without having tons of leftovers. They also do family dinners with are $12.50-$13.95 per person. I was very happy to see that they don't add MSG and it was printed right on the menu. We ordered online and picked it up. A nice young lady was working at the counter. The portions of the meals were pretty good and they gave us an extra large white rice (I hate it when of run out of rice for my leftovers). They even gave us a free order of donuts covered in sugar! I would say, for me, the food would be closer to three stars since it was very heavy of the breading and not a ton of veggies in most meals (unless you get an all-veggie dish, but it's probably four stars for their execution of American-style Chinese food, their service (and ease of ordering online), and the packaging of the takeout food.

Excellent food and pricing as well as big portions, everything made fresh. Woman working was very kind and considerate although they were busy. We will absolutely be coming back for their family dinner combinations!

We ordered chicken fried rice, vegetable low mein, Kung pao shrimp (which you can request it to be more mild or hotter), scallion pancakes & the vegetable deluxe. All of this for $57. They also included a nice desert for free. This can easily feed a family of 4-6 depending if there's kids. The person that answered the phone was really nice & made sure to ask me if I knew what I was ordering. Which... I ended up changing an item after further clarification. Lol. Give them a try.

This is the newest out of many Chinese restaurants that have been in this spot. To be clear I believe this to be the best one yet. We had the best experience in the new dining room. The food was such amazing quality. The salt and pepper chicken is amazing! We ordered The egg flower soup, garlic chicken, general tao, mandarin chicken, combo appetizer platter, and the special and they were all better than anyone else in town by far. I have been searching for good Chinese and unfortunately after trying over 12 places in the 541 hadn't found any that were actually good quality food. This place has changed my mind of all that and happens to be so close to home. I will be back many times and might even use them for catering soon it was that good! The service was great and they always made sure we had water and tea. It's so nice to see a place that so many people have tried to make successful actually hit that mark. This restaurant feels like a place I would like to bring my whole family. It is inviting and clean! I would say order today try it out!

Had a road trip from LA to Seattle,I passed by this beautiful little town name Eugene today and…read moredecided to try this Chinese restaurant. It's a place that specializes in wheaten food and noodles. Looking at the menu, I noticed a wide variety of options with complex preparation methods. For example, the dough used for regular dumplings is completely different from the dough used for shrimp dumplings (har gow). Shrimp dumplings require wheat starch (cheng mian), which must be kneaded and shaped with water around 70°C (158°F) to form properly. The entire process is incredibly labor-intensive and truly tests the chef's skill level. Ambiance & Environment: You can tell this restaurant has been open for a long time, yet it remains very clean. There is a glass-enclosed prep area where you can watch the staff making the dough and noodles from scratch, which perfectly showcases their specialty. However, I was seated right next to the back door. Since customers have to use this door to access the restrooms, people were constantly walking in and out. The draft was quite strong, causing my food to cool down very quickly. I highly recommend installing a folding screen there. I also overheard other guests asking to switch seats for the same reason, so this is definitely an area management needs to work on. The Food: Since I was dining alone, I only ordered two dishes, but overall, the food deserved high praise: Griddle Cooked Beef (Gan Guo Beef): A classic Sichuan dish. The beef slices were large, the side ingredients were plentiful, and they definitely didn't skimp on the seasoning. It had a rich, robust aroma of spices that burst in your mouth. Delicious! Beef Dumplings: Easily the best dumplings I have ever had on the entire West Coast. The wrappers were thin, the filling was generous, and they were incredibly juicy--literally bursting with flavor with every bite. Highly recommended! Service: Absolutely non-existent! About five minutes after all my food arrived, while I was right in the middle of eating, a server just dropped the bill on my table. I was completely baffled. It wasn't until I pointed out that I still needed rice that they finally took the bill back. Once I finished my meal, I asked for the check. The server gave absolutely no response. Seeing a long line of people waiting outside, I proactively asked a second time because I didn't want to hold up their business. To my surprise, the staff member snapped at me impatiently, saying, "I heard you, I have to go over there to get your bill." It was genuinely infuriating. Good foods. No services

The staff member on the phone assured us it would be fine. However, when we arrived, we were seated and allowed to place our order. Only after we had already ordered did the same staff member inform us that the restaurant only allows service dogs and that we would need to remove our dog. This was extremely frustrating, as we had called in advance specifically to avoid this situation. If this was truly their policy, it should have been clearly communicated over the phone or at least before seating us--not after we had already committed to ordering food. As for the food, it was average and nothing memorable. Unfortunately, the poor service overshadowed the entire experience. We will not be returning.

They are made right there and are amazing! I myself had the mixed noodles. House made noodles with beef, chicken, shrimp and vegetables, stir fried in a delicious lite sauce, that enhanced the flavors of the dish, without overpowering it. You could taste all the ingredients and they were fresh and delicious! I cleaned the plate and now I can't wait to return to Jade Dumplings and Noodles again and try their other dishes, that I know will be tasty! The staff is very friendly, helpful and attentive. There was a strong odor of burned cooking oil that was off putting. The lady at the counter was friendly, and took my order quickly. They do not have any hot tea, which would have been nice on a cold day. So I got a coke. I sat down and had to move... as the sun was coming in the window and blinding me where I sat. Other patrons came in and had to move also for that reason. They brought my food out and placed it on the table, which was nice. Portions were decent sized. The breaded chicken in my Sweet and Sour Chicken was mostly breading... very little chicken (see attached photo). Breading was not crispy at all... a bit mushy (I suspect they use pre-breaded chicken that was frozen, which is becoming more common... blech! Hard to make that crispy, unless double fried). The sweet and sour sauce was a little bitter... which I associate with pre-made (sysco? Not made in house) sauce. Very thin, overly sweet and a slight bitterness. Rice was ok... pretty good actually.
