Incredible, authentic sushi. The owners are husband & wife and are so delightful. I had the Hawaiian roll and it was the perfect balance of sweet & savory. This is take-out only so grab some rolls and go have a picnic on the beach--just steps away from their storefront!

Service was fantastic. The owner greeted me immediately when I walked in and even remembered my order (I have food allergies and had to customize a few of the rolls). She was so kind and relatable. I loved the verses on the wall and her plants! The sushi was the best sushi my husband and I have ever had! We ordered the Bang Bang Shrimp roll, Sunshine roll, Crab Burrito, Eel burrito, Spider roll, red crayon roll and a few more. Would absolutely recommend this place to anyone. We live an hour away but will be coming back for sure. Thank You Cherry Blossom Sushi for the wonderful food and your kindness!

2 rolls. One shrimp, one crab. Delicious!!

The best sushi I have ever had. Anna, the owner and sushi chef is just awesome and so personable! Prices are very reasonable. Sashimi grade fish is delivered weekly from Japan. I can't wait to go back!!!

Yum yum sauce isn't exactly how we're used to but it was thick and worked well with our meal. We ordered two dumplings and two orders of steak hibachi (medium). Dumplings are ok, nothing special. Sadly we forgot to order without mushrooms and our meal was more mushrooms and onions than steak. The zucchini were tiny slivers smothered in onions. Steak was good, not a prime cut but the steak hibachi was only $12.50 though. The veggies could have been grilled longer. Pretty clean, unisex bathroom, you pick your own table. Didn't see anyone wipe tables down after customers left. This place really reminds me of express food at the mall food court . Fast casual. There were a few times where we overheard the employees curse, someone dropped the F word pretty loudly. Not against it just not appropriate in a work setting especially with children present. You can watch the cook through a little window. Good quick spot to stop. Could use improvement.

The woman handling the counter was doing a great job handling a really busy night with in-person customers, to-go orders, and delivery orders. We placed our orders and then waited almost 35 minutes for our food. There was only one gentleman working the hibachi grill, and he was working his tail off for the entire time. We had chicken, shrimp, and filet in our meals plus the stuffed mushrooms. The mushrooms were... interesting. They were crunchy, a bit spicy, no idea what was in them. The hibachi was tasty and definitely fresh. The steak was cooked well, and the shrimp wasn't overcooked. The broccoli was really tasty.

I recommend starting off with the pork belly quac, and a spicy margarita with tajin on the rim I had the Machu Picchu roll(corvina, citrus tiger milk, mango confetti, and more) and I swear was one of the most beautifully creative flavor packed dishes I have ever had in this town. Look, if you are wanting a quick getaway to another culinary world and are tired of the same ol wings, pizza , and beer come check out this spot. Oh! And to top it all off the service was stellar! I had the 4 enchilada plate, they are stuffed with delicious chicken and at Bella's recommendation I did 2 with their homemade mole and 2 with the homemade queso, both were excellent. My wife had the cauliflower dish and really enjoyed it, it's not something she gets every day and the flavor really popped, great vegetarian options at Vochas. We had the Maracuyá Tres Leches Cake for dessert and it was next level tasty. Next time we come visit we'll definitely drop by again for an outstanding meal.

Our server Ava knew the menu and read the table well. No overselling, no scripted recitations. She just took care of us. Thanks Ava. The Blackened Chicken Breast came with basmati rice, seasonal vegetables, black bean salsa, and a chipotle cream sauce that worked harder than it had any right to. The flavors didn't compete. They really settled into each other. The Rumcow Salad, loaded with mixed greens, carrot, tomato, onion, cucumber, and wonton strips, we ordered topped with shrimp. It was sharper and more interesting than we had expected. It's a newer spot in Wilmington, and it shows. In The Best Sense. We'll be back for sure!

The service was friendly and attentive, and we started the evening with a bottle of Cambria Katherine's Vineyard Chardonnay (2023), which was a nice way to begin dinner. Unfortunately, the food this time around just didn't live up to what we remember. We started with the Asian Tots, which used to be one of the best items on the menu. In the past, the peanut sauce was poured over the top so everything came together as one dish. Now it's served in a small cup on the side, and there isn't enough of it to properly coat the tots. They also stopped finishing the dish with the salt they used to sprinkle on top, and even the presentation has changed -- the silver dome they once used is gone. What used to be a great appetizer has been reduced to something that's simply okay. For the main courses, the results were mixed but mostly disappointing. My blackened chicken was a little overcooked. My wife ordered the miso salmon, and that was overcooked as well -- which is especially noticeable with fish. When salmon goes past the sweet spot it quickly becomes dry, and that seemed to be the case here. None of the food was terrible, but none of it really stood out either. Dessert didn't help much. I ordered the carrot cake, but what arrived looked more like a small cupcake buried under a heavy amount of icing, with a large mound of whipped cream on the side. There wasn't much actual cake there, and it wasn't what I expected from a carrot cake dessert. One thing that stood out during the meal is that it feels like the kitchen may be constantly adjusting dishes -- moving sauces, changing presentations, tweaking things that didn't necessarily need fixing. In restaurants, sometimes the best move is to pick a lane and execute it consistently rather than continually modifying dishes that customers already liked. So here's the bottom line. Rumcow is not the Rumcow of yesteryear. Was the food terrible? No. But it was mostly meh, and that may be the most disappointing part. This used to be a place known for memorable dishes and small details done right. Right now it feels like a restaurant that has drifted away from what made it special. The atmosphere and service are still good, but the food just doesn't match the reputation it once had.

The Food We went straight for what matters. * Chilean Sea Bass -- cooked right, flaky, moist, and seasoned without trying to show off. That's how it's supposed to be done. No nonsense, just good fish handled properly. * Fish Bites (house specialty) -- lightly battered, crispy without being greasy, and paired with both Thai chili and tartar sauces. That combo works. You don't fix what isn't broken, and thankfully they didn't. * Ponzu Tuna Tacos -- these were the standout. Fresh, flavorful, balanced. The ponzu brings just enough bite without overpowering the tuna. If you're going there and skip these, that's on you. Sides held their own--fresh vegetables with a good sauté, and coleslaw that didn't taste like it came out of a tub somewhere in the back. Service Our server, Kali (K-A-L-I), did things the old-school way--attentive without hovering, friendly without being fake. That's getting rare these days, and it's worth mentioning. Value Two people, solid seafood, no corners cut: $67.15 total. In today's world? That's not just fair--that's impressive. Final Take New ownership can sometimes mean a place loses its identity. That didn't happen here. Fish Bites still delivers what made it a favorite--fresh seafood, straightforward preparation, and consistency. If anything, they've tightened things up just enough to notice

First one in and I walked from the hotel Lela only 1/2 mile away. At the recommendation of my super sweet server I tried the fire cracker shrimp which was a regular specialty on he table placard. I also noticed the cod miso which intrigued me so I order it. What brought in though was the Hamichi Kama which I ordered also. On top of this they brought out a black seaweed/gyoza sample. The. On top of that since it is my birthday week they brought me the green tea mocha. Wow to say I am stuff was an understatement. So since this was a progressive ordering situation which I created the food came out sort of mish mash. I started with black seaweed / gyoza sampler. It was awesome. I would have ordered more had I not already ordered . Then I moved on to the bang bang shrimp. 8 breaded shrimp with their version of bang bang sauce. Plump shrimp with a chili sauce. Not bad. The sauce was just a chili style sauce and so left some to be desired. Then the cod miso came out. Wow. Super hot and had actual chunks of cod and veggies in it. Very good. Then the Hamichi Kama which came out. Amazing. I had this before in Japan and in West Virginia. Amazing. Definitely a recommend. Then they brought out the green tea mochi with green tea ice cream. It was the best I have ever had. Amazing meal definitely needed the walk back to try and walk some of it off. The restaurant is small and reservations are highly recommended. Definitely worth the trouble and I plan to return in the future to try some other items.

We were greeted immediately and the servers and chef said welcome in Japanese. We were given warm towels for our hands and it's really a great way to start a meal; it makes you feel revitalized. The inside is nice; they had traditional Japanese music playing in the background so it really set the tone. There are some tables, booths and a counter so you have options on where you can sit. The decor is nice with the lucky cat and other fun decorations. The waitress took our order with a smile on her face and asked us if we wanted recommendations on any of the products or food. She was knowledgeable on the menu and showed real enthusiasm with our questions. I could see the chef preparing the food was clearly skilled and so I did go with what the chef recommended. Before our appetizers, they brought us a complimentary side dish of edamame beans in seaweed salad which was refreshing. Then our appetizers came. We ordered Miso Soup, Garden Salad, California Rolls, Spring Rolls and Pork Gyoza. I had a few of The Pork Gyoza which was cooked perfectly. Crispy at first and then quickly melts in your mouth; was nice and hot too. My family told me the California Rolls and Garden Salad were yummy too. Then the entrees came out and they exceeded our expectations. My family that had the Chicken Fried Rice said it was delicious. One got the Grilled Salmon Dinner and another a Crunchy Roll I believe; they really enjoyed their dishes. My family that ordered the Sushi Platter liked his too (Philadelphia Rolls, Fire Cracker Rolls, Matt's Special and I believe some Salmon Rolls). I had gotten the Chef's recommended, which was two pieces of Yellowtail (Hamachi) and I believe Tuna (Kama-Toro). It was incredibly fresh; among the freshest nigiri I have ever had. I also then ordered their Fire Cracker Roll and that was very good; if you like something with a bit of spice you will love it. We wanted dessert but were too full; just gives us another reason to go back! Genki has something for everyone. Japanese comfort food, Sushi, Sashimi, Nigiri and more. If you haven't already gone, it's time to go; you won't be disappointed! Until next time! じゃあね!
