10 oh 10 recommend it is such a vibe my best friend just moved to Jersey City so she literally lives like 10 minutes away from it so we decided to the scene because we are new to the neighborhood. We are from New York City. As soon as we came in, it was pretty lit. DJ was already there bar was full so we sat at a table you come in and you can seat yourself. Took a minute for a server to come to us. I'm assuming that the bartenders are the servers so we got a menu from the bar and eventually somebody came over to take our order. Her name is Niki. I started with a sangria and my best friend got a jumbo margarita for $15 mind you we only had an hour for happy hour so we definitely will be back because we didn't have enough time to try all the different drinks on the happy hour menu. We also got two shots of Don Julio reposado for $11 which was unhappy hours as well really good really strong drinks were on the sweeter side which I personally like and then we ordered food. I got the Philly cheesesteak egg rolls 10 out of 10 and then my best friend got two beef empanadas for $10 after that I got a seven piece jerk chicken wing dry basket for $15 we split our bills so my bill came out to $86 and then I think I tipped like $20 and then my friend's bill came out to $76 so it's definitely on the more expensive side but we missed happy hour so that definitely does make a difference I also got the Hennessey sidecar drink which was $18. They have hookah by the way we were sitting next to these ladies that were so nice. They were like letting us eat their food. It was actually wild. They gave us a really good idea if we would want to order something for the future we got to try the catfish bites also 10 out of 10 recommend this place is a vibe and they have a ton of specials daily. We will be back. They also do breakfast in the morning so I'm excited to like see what the brunch looking like. read more

The ambiance of the place was very familiar. You could tell there were regulars in the lounge. In a sense it was like, "CHEERS". The music started out very old school but gradually may its way to the 90s and 2000s. It was a vibe to say the least. I'd definitely fo back. The food was okay. I don't remember too much about it. Cherry's has elevated the standard of quality food in an urban environment. As we all know prices at restaurants have risen in recent years. Entrees only come with one side and a second will cost you between $8 and $10. Large dinner plates are between $27 to $32. It's a big leap to see yesterday's Manhattan prices but if you want to dine these days, you have to adjust your wallet accordingly. I knew about this place and was so excited to be invited to join them for dinner and drinks. When I arrived I parked on the street nearby. I walked in and was greeted! The place was super cute! I sat at the bar and got great service from Yakina and Esh the bartenders! I started with a yummy red sangria followed by a vodka martini. For my meal I for the grilled shrimp, mac and cheese and spinach. At first, the shrimp was a little salty, but they the cook fixed it real nice. I really enjoyed the spinach and mac and cheese! The food was amazing, but the service was not good. We were never given water, continously asked for water and were looked at like we were crazy, and then told, "We don't serve juice and water at the Cherry's Lounge." We waited long for someone to take our check and had to walk up to the bar just to try to get somebody to let us pay so we could go to our next event. I would get this place to go but do not recommend dining in unless you want to wait and have your own water with you. read more

Ambience: It's LOUD; but because of the vibes and music I still highly recommend in a setting where you aren't maybe having a FIRST date that requires a ton of talking. This is more like a second, third, ect date place; a group place; or if you wanna just go somewhere with club vibes. It's beautiful inside! Service: Our server was the bartender, she was very sweet. Now I've been here quite a few times but moving forward I won't ever go here again. Each time I go the quality of the food gets worse. Last time I went I was served old wings. You can tell they've been reheated multiple times before getting to me. Only drink that's good and tastes like it actually has alcohol in it is the dusse punch. Every other time I've ordered a margarita or an another cocktail on their menu it's watered down. Not for the prices of their drinks! Staff is really nice. But I think they need to do a revamp of their menu. I don't know if there are different cooks on different days but if so I can tell. read more

I had the pleasure of dining here for brunch with a friend and I had a blast. The staff, the food, the service. Everything was a 10/10. We started off with the brunch carafes, We Had a Time Last Night and BTW Friends, and I believe the last was a bit better- the first was a little too sweet. Either way, they were both really good, but could use a lot less ice. Now. The food. My gosh. I don't think I've ever had soul food like this before, and this was just breakfast! First things first, the eggs were scrambled with cheese to perfection, the home fries were seasoned well and fried crispy as suggested, the beef bacon! Yum. I had my own reservations regarding the salmon cake though, but I'm beginning to realize that perhaps I'm just not a fan of them. The pancakes had that perfect crisp on the edges, and so did the French toast. The grits could have been a bit more creamier, but the seasoned shrimp definitely made me overlook it. Overall, this was a top tier breakfast/brunch and will forever be in my book of recommendations. If you haven't been here yet or are hesitant, don't waste any more time and check it out! Definitely visit! This place doesn't look like much from the outside but the food and service are everything! Local spot with what looks like locals who visit. Reminds me of the after hour spots in my own hometown but with bar and flat screen tvs. It was cute, cool and clean inside and the food was amazing! We ordered mostly appetizers to share and the mimosas and three shots of tequila. The bill came to just a little of 100 and there was plenty of parking in the area. read more

The food was banging, let's start there. Well seasoned, didn't take long to come out, was fresh and on point. I love the batter they used for the shrimp and the fish, and the fact that they fried it hard and the batter stuck to the seafood; and again very well seasoned. The eggs, OMGEE, they were so creamy and silky, melted in my mouth (big pause). The bacon was cooked well, as was the sausage, nice and charred but not burnt with a beautiful juicy burst (pause) when u bite into em. Lastly the homefries were everything and then some. The onions and peppers were wonderfully cooked down, as were the potatoes, and had a nice blend of flavors, no need for salt and pepper, these things came ready to light ya taste buds up! The ambiance was cool, there was one sweet lady that was running the bar and waiting on us and cleaning up. I get it, it was early so between her and the chef that was really it as far as staff; and there were a couple people there, but she did a great job tending to us and everyone else. My only real gripe was the ice in my orange juice, because it watered it down but that's such a small complaint that it wasn't even worth addressing because again I saw she had a lot going on already and I wasn't trying to interrupt her flow. Luckily the food made up for it and the music was on point too. Definitely a good time and would recommend this spot to others. read more

This is definitely a hole in the wall. I didn't get to try the food. They don't let you know that they stop cooking food after after 10 PM. $20 entry fee. I personally like restaurants where the table and the chairs are clean. I'm not stepping on a bunch of different food on the floor. I personally will not be returning. My bf and I were on lazy mode this past weekend and didn't feel like waking up and making breakfast. My bf heard of this spot and that it had good raves.... My bf DID NOT miss the spot with this place for breakfast! It was so good we ordered here TWICE, Saturday and Sunday! We both got the breakfast platter. The first time we had bacon, waffles, and scrambled eggs. The only complaint was that the bacon was tooooo crispy and crunchy. The next day I got the same but my bf ordered French toast instead and he was satisfied. All in all if you're looking for good breakfast I highly recommend this spot! It was my birthday, we made reservations, and they had no where to put us even tho there was plenty of seating The back bartender was very very rude and didn't serve us at all and gave us a dirty look. They ignored us until we left because we didn't fit their "aesthetic". I'll never understand a business that doesn't want money from certain people or races. I'm glad I saved my money and went to The Factory instead. Didn't stay to try drinks or food, and I'm sure they are good but definitely would never stay and spend money at a place that doesn't make everyone feel welcome. i went there last night to see what this place was about. for one, THEY CHARGE AT THE DOOR after i called & was told it was no cover charge. that was weird because its a BAR/restaurant!!! they had no seating & no proper way of seating the guests. they put us in the back of the place separated from everyone by the other bar. the bartender was amazing. the food was a 6/10 only cause the fish was really good. my pasta was kinda cold & was a rush type of a turn off. the tip was already included & it was only 4 of us. it just wasnt a good experience all around. the dj was trash & kept playing the same thing over & over. this place could have been much better. tik tok hyped it up & its not what they make it seem to be. wont be going back! read more

DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE. I came home after my third 12 hour shift in a row, tired, and made the decision to order a meal for my family because I was too exhausted to cook. I treated myself to a steak and ordered it RARE so that it would be impossible to over cook. Turns out I spent $20 on well done "New York strip". It was literally a hockey puck. I ordered it with mixed vegetables and what I received were canned carrots, canned peas, and canned potatoes. My husband ordered salmon and that piece of fish was tougher than a 1980s inner city working girl with a veeeery difficult pimp. He also made the same mistake I did by ordering the mixed vegetables. Then there was my roommate and her flavorless, saliva sucking chicken breasts. Horrible. And the most upsetting part is that I spent $60 on this meal. What a devastating way to start the weekend. AND, it's Easter weekend ... I'm absolutely positive that Jesus wouldn't serve his worst enemy this food meal. If I can find a way I'll post a picture of my rare "steak". Positive Note: The Garlic Spinach was good....Popeye's muscles would be throbbing after eating that! Second time here..so the vibe was good and so was the music, but that is it! A drink got spilled, I asked someone who was staff at the time if it was possible to clean it up he straight up said no he wasn't cleaning it. The level of service is terrible! The bouncer who was standing at the door on Saturday night 11/3 was very nice and he instead cleaned it up. The wings were warm and not hot at all--and honestly weren't that great. I really wanted to enjoy this experience because my first time was good..maybe it was an off night, I do hope they get better though. read more
