Solid 5 love the concept because 35 years ago in Rathdrum, id i use to have the special Ed class from the high school come to one of my restaurant to learn basic food handling skills and also running a business , it was my most gradifying time in business, This is a small but cute little operation and Belmont community should be proud. Great food, i always grade the cooks on presentation and basic EGG prep skills. A perfect over easy you learned well chef. They got a well deserved Good Morning America feature. This will be my new goto, love to see my fellow eletes follow suit. Fresh menu made daily. They a lot of competition near by, and as I explore new places i will use Cherubs Cafe as a bench mark. I didn't realize the community service this restaurant offers until I arrived. When I read the info I was pleasantly surprised. I had great service throughout and the food was solid. My only complaint was the bathrooms, they looked like they hadn't been cleaned all day. Otherwise I had an enjoyable time. read more

A fantastic breakfast place. Alisa very much enjoyed her English muffin breakfast sandwich, and she loved her grits. I had the traditional breakfast, and it too was wonderful. I ordered the reunion sandwich with chips, my sister ordered the Maria--chicken salad with melted cheese on wheat toast with a side of broccoli salad. My reubin was on point, and my sister enjoyed her sandwhich as well. For dessert, we shared a pecan tart with ice cream--yum. We stopped in today for Breakfast the Ambiance is the only reason they received 2 stars I'm thinking they are closely associated with Holy Angels a disability services and support organization Super cute inside Now let's talk about that breakfast I got the classic 2 eggs scrambled lite, bacon, potatoes, and dry toast; pretty simple. Well my eggs were not scrambled lite and were dry how? The bacon was soooo thin I couldn't taste it NO LIE and you could actually see thru it and it crumbled at the touch the toast was prefect and the potatoes were actually a casserole and they were good. Cherubs Cafe is cute, comfortable and contributes to a worthy cause. Plus the food and service is great! I had a grilled Pimento Cheese sandwich with a cup of Tomato Basil Soup. The staff person informed me that the Pimento Cheese was made in-house and recommended the "Spicy" blend to go best with my soup. She was spot on! Both were delicious in their own right, but together were perfection! My only complaint is that I was too full after finishing to enjoy any of the luscious sounding desserts. If you find yourself in Belmont for lunch- this is the spot! Nestled in the downtown area with plenty of shops around. This place has a great menu- something for everyone & their online ordering is made simple and convenient! I ordered online and my order was ready within 15 minutes. They have breakfast, lunch, even sweet treats (ice cream with all the topping choices & cookies). The inside has plenty of tables- there's even a couple patio tables for nice weather. Service here was top notch! Would come back for that alone. Prices in my opinion were good as well. I ordered a scoop of their chicken salad (which came with pita bread) as well as a Reuben sandwich with a side salad. Chicken salad was delicious! Creamy but not over the top. This one has pecans if that's your jam. The Reuben was decent but would have been better if the sauerkraut didn't over power the whole sandwich! When I think of a Reuben I picture a good amount of meat, this one barely had any. A few sad slices- my only complaint. Pro tip: if you get a salad try the raspberry vinaigrette! Yummy. I'm so happy I got to stop into Cherub Cafe and experience the great things that are happening here. The Cherub Cafe supports individuals with disabilities and gives them opportunity to work and build their skills. It is ran by the Holy Angels which is a nonprofit organization. I love the work they are doing here. During my visit I decided to give the chicken salad sandwich a try on a croissant with the pasta salad. The chicken salad was a good consistency and didn't have too much mayo. There are pecans in the chicken salad. I felt like the croissant wasn't the freshest. The pasta salad was a cream base and had good flavor. Cherub Cafe is currently closed due to Covid 19 but I can't wait til they reopen. Similar to a fast food restaurant. The menu was somewhat limited. However, the food was pretty darn tasty. The breakfast sandwich hit the spot! They are an outreach program with Holy Angels that employs people with developmental disabilities who may otherwise have trouble finding jobs in a traditional setting. Kudos for that amazingness! The great news is the food is truly yummy! They are only open until 3pm so what you get is lunch fare: salads, sandwiches and wraps. There are also desserts and milkshakes. We tried the chicken salad croissant, the club sandwich and the California Wrap. My mom loved her wrap, the chicken was fresh and it was so big she had to take half home. My chicken salad croissant was good, but I prefer a more savory salad (with no fruit) so this I probably wouldn't get again. My daughter got the club sandwich and it was both delicious and beautiful. Cherubs, is dare I say, heavenly. It is indeed a happy place as its big colorful interior sign indicates. The dining area is nostalgic, homey and comfortable. The service is friendly and attentive. The food is fabulous. I had the Woodrow, a unique sandwich consisting of sliced apples, crispy bacon, sliced cheddar, craisin dressing and perfectly buttered and toasted sourdough bread. It was excellent. Initially afraid it would be too sweet, the black bean salad balanced it out. Others in my party ordered the turkey wrap with avocado, and the chicken salad with the delicious julienne carrot salad. Everything was great. Save yourself some time, just order anything. Overall AMAZING!! I would say the food gives simple southern vibes but made with love. The potatoes are a must! The best I've ever had! It was hard not to order everything after seeing other guests food! Not only was the food top notch but the service and staff are super duper friendly.
