Last week, I found myself stranded on the freeway during morning rush hour, stuck in the far-left lane with nowhere to go. While waiting for HPD, cars flew past me. With no safe place to wait, I sat anxiously in my car, fearing that approaching drivers would not see me in time. Then, like a ray of sunshine, a bright yellow Jrock Tows It truck appeared in my rearview mirror. I assumed they would drive right by, but instead, they stopped! Out of kindness, they offered to tow me to a safe location--with no expectation of payment--just two caring people who saw someone in need and chose to help. Professional, calm, and skilled, they had my car hooked up in seconds, and just like that, a dangerous situation was no longer. Chastin and Nevin, from the bottom of my heart, thank you for rescuing me that morning. Your compassion and selflessness are truly appreciated!

Came on to yelp and this was the first company to respond , I mean in the first 5 minutes this company called me to tell me they were available and can have my vehicle removed from my driveway in 45 minutes. I asked if there is anything I needed to give them. ( Ex: title , registration) because I had nothing to show or give them. Once they arrived it literally took them 6 minutes to hook up and get out. And it was FREE! Now that's what you call SERVICE! Mahalo Jrock Tows it!! It made this experience a delightful one! I'll be calling again real soon to have another vehicle removed.

I can't understand why they choose to conduct business this way. Is everything a little bit cheaper…read morethan around the island? Yes, prices are definitely more affordable, which is what you should expect from an Armed Forces Exchange. But for some reason, they decided that the best way to serve the military community on Oahu is to make them line up first thing in the morning on a first come first serve basis for all auto services. Oil change, 4 new tires with balancing, safety inspection, transmission repair? Active Duty, Dependent, Handicapped Retired Vets: All the same line. I think these guys must have run rifle ranges and thought that making people wait for extended periods of time unnecessarily was so hilariously awesome, that they needed to extend it to life outside the service. And there's no line; it's a gaggle and just pray that everyone recognizes common decency demeanor of who was there first. Get there at 0701, forget about getting any services on that day. And don't think that being the first in line is going to get you anything other than 2.5 hours to put on tires, when every other shop does it in 30-45 mins. Why they can't adhere to the pretty well accepted automotive practice of making appointments, is completely beyond me. Also, on random days (like one of the ones that I chose to try and come down and hit the "get the tires I already paid for put on my truck lottery") they will just not open and put a sign on the door that says "Closed, Staff". So, the next time you need something done on your vehicle and you are an authorized patron, and you see that they're open until 5, and you call and they quote you a better price than everywhere else you have called, and that you can come down and pay, and then just come down another day "anytime after 0700", realize that THIS is why they have 2.5 Yelp Stars. Pay the extra 100 bucks- completely worth avoiding the headache that they will put you throug

I'll just be heading down the road. Sorry our servicemen & women have to endure this as their option for automotive savings.

If I could I would give them a 0. 2 and a half years ago, I took my car to Pearl City Auto Works for a brake job. It cost me almost $5k to do it. Now they told me I gotta spend another $2400 to fix the same problem. My other half and I talked business with the owner's daughter Shay Nakamura about the situation and asked certain questions and she couldn't give any feedback to the situation at hand. She tried to give me a discount, but I don't think it was enough, considering I know for a fact they are charging me 3-4x the actual cost for the parts and then will eventually get more money back because of the cores. I text the number they text me with explaining my situation and there were no response. 2 phone numbers they text me from I left a text message, no response. That right there shows me that that they have poor communication skills. Communication was done with text. To be honest, I prefer real conversation with a person/company. I believe that they either did a poor job 2 and a half years ago or the quality of parts they used suck!! I got ripped off the first time and they tried to do that again the second time around. NEVER again will I do business with them!!

When going through the Geico app, your pin drop may be a bit off as it is hard to drag and drop on the screen so it's best to call the tow company once your app updates that they have arrived. I was able to communicate my location more accurately to the tow company allowing them to quickly update their driver on my location. When the driver arrived he greeted me and asked how I was doing and was professional, friendly, and really helpful he even let me keep the car running for the ac to remain on since I had my dog in the car. He approached my dog nicely when he needed to get the mileage from the car. My dog is a rescue and still learning how to be around new people but he approached slowly and kept his hand out so she could smell and be ok (she did try to nip at him a bit at first so I apologized for that she was buckled in so she couldn't reach him) but that's why he adjusted his approach as we tried to read the mileage. He also helped me empty the trunk a bit to reach the spare. I don't like the default jack in the car and didn't have any of my tools or able to phone any friends to help so I'm really glad he was able to help me. This is an eye opener for me though so I need to update my roadside tools for later just to be safe. I did have my air pump but that's how I was able to find the holes in the tire when I hit that pot hole lol. Unfortunate event BUT ON A GOOD NOTE, I was able to find a nice, reliable, friendly, professional tow truck service provider. And I was looking to switch out my tires anyway lol. So honestly, I'd say that's a win in the event of things happen for a reason. Thanks for the roadside assistance Empire Towing & Roadside!
