As a self-proclaimed coffee connoisseur, I could tell the latte was brewed using high-quality coffee beans, and my matcha latte had premium matcha powder. The dessert display was a treat for the senses. The decor was on point and elegant. The service was fast and the staff were friendly. They even offered a water bowl for my pup, and the patio was heated. I am planning to come back and enjoy my drinks again tomorrow.

Especially the patio and plenty of seating inside. Individual, couple, semi-private and larger groups. I was disappointed with two things. 1. The coffee 2. The selection of deserts. Thierry is a long standing premium luxury Coffee Roaster and Bake House. My Almond Flat White $7 later tasted like nothing. Truly. Even the foamed almond milk was barely there. Instantly I regretted ordering it. A huge let down. Also, aside from a couple of croissants I didn't see any pastries. A massive selection of macaroons and a dozen of different chocolate fudge squares, but barely any pastries? It just seemed with the grand space available not much of it was committed to displaying actual baked goods, which Thierry is known for. An island in the middle of the Cafe with books, pre packed chocolates to go, and decors. Why though? Maybe I'm subconsciously comparing it to Artigiano Grand Cafe. I think I expected more substance and less fluff from Thierry.

Grandma started reminiscing about us having Galette des Rois when we were in Europe many years ago;…read moreso even though we'd already had our Galette des Rois for this year from To Live For Bakery, for my dear mommy's sake I decided to order another Galette des Rois that we could have with her at her house. This time I ordered a traditional version that comes with a crown and a small ceramic piece (known as a fève) hidden inside the pastry. I ordered this one from Le Pont Patisserie. This shop is known more for their eclairs but they carry a good number of other beautiful and tempting pastries. There was a choice of 5, 6, or 7 inches for the Galette des Rois at Le Pont Patisserie. I ordered the 6 inch for $35 and it was just right for us as we were a small group of people. Wow! Such flakiness! Super impressed with how flaky this Galette des Rois was, and the frangipane filling was heavenly. While it was an excellent Galette des Rois, I do have to admit that I think it is very much overpriced for the size that they offer. Grandma found the fève and was crowned Queen that night! Service: Good Parking: Free parking on the street Location: 230 15th St., West Vancouver, BCo

Their pastries are freshly made on the day. They were very generous on the filling. I really liked the fluffiness and tastiness of the Zaku Zaku. Service was great as well. The lady took the time explaining their pastries. C shared one of her pastries puff with me and it was nice and light. The flavor was not overpowering. I will be back next time I am in the area.

The Parisian sandwich and thin fries were ultra good. Best ham ever. Not salty and complex flavours, meaty. Too bad can't buy this anywhere unless imported. The French Onion Soup was well balanced. Rich, savory, the aroma draws you in, offset by the warmth from the spice. It is a soup that you can never get enough of. This was done very well. Duck Leg Cassoulet Stew had a great texture and flavour profile. Would have been nice if there is toast or baguette to go with it. Only criticism is it is awfully small for a main dish. And the duck leg is only half of what we normally get from a duck confit. Which was surprising.

Food is always on point ... with excellent presentation! Star items : French Onion Soup ... this alone can be the reason for me to drive here from Richmond! The rich broth is fully infused with the sweetness of caramelized onion, which blended seamlessly with the beef broth! Very hearty and I would indulge myself with extra cheese! Oh why not!? Braised Lamb Shank ... tender and very rich with the sauce that it was bath in ... the Chef was able to elevate this classic dish several levels up! Service is always attentive and friendly, too bad driving from Richmond limited my alcohol intake as I really love to try out more of their Cocktails!

This led me to Tim Hortons. I ordered a Simply Cheese flatbread pizza along with a Chai Latte. Apparently the Chai Latte is a new item on their menu. If I recall correctly, the Tim Hortons Flatbread pizzas got a lot of overall negative reviews when they first came out. I never understood that and after the one I had today, I still don't understand that. I think their flatbread pizza is actually quite good. Especially for a fast food joint that doesn't specialize in pizzas. Honestly, I've had worse pizza from places that were dedicated to servings pizzas. This Simply Cheese flatbread pizza was hot, crispy, had a generous amount of pizza sauce on it and the cheese was gooey with plenty of "cheese pull" to it. I found it very satisfying and wouldn't hesitate to order it again. The Chai Latte wasn't bad either; however, I did feel that it was a bit sweeter than it needed to be. Would have been nice to have been offered an option of adjusting the sweetness level like a lot of bubble tea places do. Slightly less sweet and I'd have bumped this review up to 4 stars instead of 3.

However, this Park Royal South location in the food court is the only way to fill you favorite Tim's cravings for breakfast, lunch, or dinner in West Vancouver! === 2. FOOD On this day, I got something quick; a Breakfast Sandwich Combo ($5.69) with the signature egg, sausage, and cheese in an English muffin, accompanied by a Poppy Seed Lemon loaf ($0.40 upcharge) and a milk. All tasted as well as they do in other Tim's locations, and more importantly, my baby seemed to like helping me eat it :) === 3. SERVICE & ENVIRONMENT It's in the Park Royal South food court, which means it's big, open, spacious and quiet in the mornings, but busy at lunch. Wheelchairs and strollers naturally have the space to fit here. The service was as expected as takeout service goes at a Tim's. Parking is as plentiful as it gets in the Park Royal parking lots.
