Crepe with Strawberry and Chocolate
Elena G.

We are so glad we stumbled on this place! We were looking for a breakfast/brunch and hit the jackpot. We got my daughter a strawberry Nutella crepe, which she loved, got a veggie Brie and bacon omelette and the avo toast with poached egg. All delicious, all quick, the service was wonderful. We got our own little back patio area which was so nice- outside but onto on the street. The cappuccinos were beautiful and very nicely balanced.

Chez Faby-lous! The back patio is so cute and quaint, felt like I was transported to Europe! I enjoyed a vanilla latte and the roast beef sandwich. It was so much better than it looked! The strawberry chocolate crepe was also amazing. The service was just fine, nothing remarkable or to complain about. Overall, a very lovely place to stop for some delicious food!

Chez was recommended by a friend and what a quaint French restaurant. They have fresh French bakery. We were warmly greeted and seated. They have a full coffee and espresso selection. I got an Americano it was very good. My choice for breakfast was the eggs, salmon and avocado. The eggs were cooked perfectly. The bread would love to have more. It was so good.

I did not seat down to eat but picked up a crossiant and a latte. Both items taste just ok. I expected a nice french crossiant and latte, but nah. I pass

My husband and I went out for a walk around Tampa and instead of heading over to Armature Works area, we decided to check out downtown area. We walked around a few blocks, and then we saw this cute Parisian bistro. We were seated immediately by a very friendly waitress, she immediately brought water and asked if we wanted coffee or anything else to drink. We placed our order and we did not have to wait very long at all. My mushroom quiche came out piping hot- with a crispy top, I love crispy cheese!!, and it was served with a very nice salad on the side. With all of the cheeses and mushrooms blended together- it was very tasty and delicious. I would definitely order this again. My husband ordered the Chicken Panini and was not disappointed either. It was nice and toasted, with a side salad as well. We both enjoyed our lunches, and would definitely go back. It's a very quaint, unique French bistro in the middle of downtown Tampa.

We had a group of 4 without a reservation and were able to be seated right away in the back terrace, which was nice and open with natural light. I decided on the avocado crepe which had a nice assortment of veggies and tomatoes - very filling! We shared the strawberry and chocolate crepe for dessert which was delightful. I can't wait to come back and try more - their menu is pretty large with both breakfast and lunch items!

Love this cute spot in Tampa. Quite possibly the best crepe I've had (except for those in France). Their sandwiches are also top notch. They only have a small handful of tables inside and out and the service is on point.

Got to try a few more items at Chez Faby today and was really happy with what we got! I was very impressed by the presentation of the burrata salad that my girlfriend got. My sandwich breakfast was great too, with fries, and a bacon and egg sandwich on a baguette. The cafe was extremely busy and yet the waitresses/kitchen still managed to get us our food in a reasonable amount of time.

We were looking for a quick and satisfying brunch after having no luck at a nearby restaurant that was over crowded with a long wait time. Chez seated us right away which was a relief. We got croissant breakfast sandwiches and potatoes. The croissants are fresh and taste authentic however the potatoes were lacking flavor. The staff seemed a bit overwhelmed although it was not that busy but they were accommodating when I made a modification to my order. The Ambience needs a little make over outside and inside. I could imagine on a busy day there would not be a ton of seating available since it is small inside so maybe we got lucky. If you want to try an authentic French cafe give this place a try!

Updated review - this place is still awesome. One of our favorite cafes in tampa. Great French cafe that offers a variety of breakfast/lunch items. Although my bf and I stick mainly to the breakfast items. The lunch items look yummy as well! Their coffee is great!! Iced or hot! Croissants are ALWAYS fresh, I get one every visit. Baguettes, French toast, crepes, ALL GREAT. They even have certain limited menu items that change every so often. We come here various times a month and the service is always great, love that we get served and they don't rush us to leave. Great first date spot to just sit and chat as well!!

What a great lunch spot in downtown Tampa! It's quiet and has an extensive menu. We had two different crepes and both were delicious! The service was good too, and we liked that we were not rushed.

Eleonore Benedict (poached egg, smoked salmon, avocado, hollandaise)

Wow! I am stunned about how well the food (and macchiato) were on my first visit here. The entire menu looks amazing and I wanted to try everything (I actually got a second meal to go for later). The cafe is quaint and welcoming and you feel like you are stepping into a cafe right out of Paris when you talk to the staff (they have very French accents which is beautiful). Absolutely not my last visit here.

The Truffle Potato Croquettes were amazing, I honestly could've eaten 20 of them. The bread with the whipped butter was incredible and such a great start to the meal. My Scallop Risotto was delicious and the scallops literally melted in my mouth. But the standout for me was the Pot Pie La Mer. Holy moly... I've never had a pot pie like that before. The flavors were amazing and all of the seafood tasted so fresh. To top it all off, the Bananas Foster Bread Pudding was the perfect ending. Everything was rich and flavorful! Highly recommend!

We've never had a bad experience with any of the other bartenders or servers--they are usually fantastic! However, this is now the second time we've been served by the same bartender (he has long black hair kept in a man bun), and both times have been absolutely miserable experiences. He is beyond rude, incredibly impersonal, and makes us feel like an inconvenience just for ordering. We love supporting this place and will keep coming back for the overall great service, but we will definitely be avoiding his section or the bar if he's working. Management really needs to address his attitude, as it completely kills the great energy the rest of the staff works hard to create.

The inside is very spacious and whimsically decorated with a few different seating options: regular table and chairs but also couch/loveseats with tables and chairs. Our server was attentive and friendly and super knowledgeable about the menu and the plentiful gluten free options/swaps (they have gluten free bread). For brunch, we ordered deviled eggs, whipped feta, lobster Benedict, sweet potato hash, and the fish amandine. Everything was excellent. The fried oyster on the deviled eggs was inventive and super tasty. The whipped feta has pomegranate seeds sprinkled on top which made for a yummy sweet and savory bite. Hubbys sweet potato hash was flavorful and filling. The lobster bennys had quite a bit of lobster and the old bay hollandaise sauce was perfection. The fresh fish amandine was yellowtail snapper that came out with a beautifully crispy skin, a delicious brown butter almond sauce and sautéed green beans. This place was a hit for all of us and we cannot wait to go back again, even to try supper too!

Overall it is a good experience, from the vibe to the service and the presentation, those are 5/5…read more Sake cocktails, 5/5, were pretty good but light. But the food, I would say 3/5. The complimentary fish bites are good, crab roll is a total lack of flavor, tomyum soup was a little salty, peking duck is delish w all the edible veggies on display (a little do it yourself moment), salmon w soba noodle did not stand out (won't recommend), we love the Duck-Duck dish though. Coconut icecream is also good and nutty. Although it is pricey, they do say that all ingredients were super fresh, and they grow most of the edible plants in-house. So at the end, you're also paying for that quality.

The restaurant was very intimate, there were only 3 couples in there including us and the staff were so attentive, professional, and helpful with all the menu items and specials. This is BY FAR the best service I've ever had in my life. Constantly filling our water and checking in on us - they even held the bathroom door open for us! This establishment feels very upper class (and the prices convey that as well). They had a handwritten note for us for my boyfriend's birthday which was the cherry on top! There's just something about handwritten notes that make the experience feel that much more personal First, they gave us complimentary little salmon bites. Very delicious and very kind of them to do! The white little shrimp crisp that held the salmon paired very well - I used to eat these shrimp chips all the time with mom when I was younger. We then ordered these poke special with more of these shrimp crisps and that appetizer was DELICIOUS. It has a good hint of sweetness and you could cleanse your palette with the coconut water shot afterwards. The plating was also spectacular. I wish there was more for the $35. For entrees, we got the duck-duck and the shaken beef (I swapped the rice for the forbidden black rice). I really enjoyed my shaken beef, the flavors reminded me of home and my mom's cooking. The forbidden rice was ok but definitely tasted better with the sauce. The salad tasted fresh. The duck-duck tasted ok to me- there was something in it that I didn't like but I'm not sure what it was. We ended the night on a very high note with a personalized dessert (complimentary) - I don't like chocolate but my boyfriend said it was super rich and delicious! They even offered us a Polaroid picture to commemorate the night. It was the highlight of my night and I will remember it forever!!! Overall, the experience and service are a 1000/10 and that's why you pay the price that you pay and why it is featured on the Michelin guide. I would say the food is a 4/5, but I'm also Vietnamese and a little pickier on my Vietnamese food. Paying that price for the flavors my mom can create is tough but the experience is definitely worthwhile! Highly recommend
