Chez Nick was everything and more than what I expected! I've been wanting to try Chez Nick for a long time as every time we walk by, it is always so busy inside and out! They have wonderful outdoor tables overlooking York Ave. Finally today we went! I called ahead to make sure they can accommodate 2 baby strollers as we were going with a friend also with small baby and immediately when I called, the response was absolutely. This already made me feel good about the choice to come here. When we arrived the outdoor tables were full but inside was completely empty! We were able to sit comfortably with 2 baby strollers indoors. For food, I loved their fried chicken sandwich and the burger! Both were delicious. I did opt out of the fries with my chicken sandwich and was able to replace with a refreshing salad! Overall great service, family minded restaurant and delicious food! Look forward to returning!

The food was good! Wait staff needs to slow down ~ we had numerous people bring us our food / drinks and there were as many spills ~ because they were rushing to put it down.

Went here for dinner and every single dish I tried was amazing. Then I came back the next day for brunch. The pancake is phenomenal and prob one of the best ones I've had. The breakfast burrito was okay. Loved being about to sit outside in the sun and they have a lot of outside table space.

Place was excellent! We were seated promptly. Staff were attentive, helpful, and friendly. The restatement feels really chic and cozy but not small. We came for brunch so we ate and drank cocktails. It was fantastic to not be hawked or rushed. Food was great all around. Fresh, tasty, good portions. Main dishes were ~$20/each. Not terrible. Totally recommend this place.

Came here for Sunday brunch and had a pleasant experience! We didn't have a reservation so we sat outside. Luckily, the weather was so beautiful. I got the avocado toast, which was filling and fresh.

This is a great spot for brunch! Cute on the inside with fast service and delicious food. The buffalo chicken sandwich was everything I hoped for and the fries were even better than I expected!

I had a lovely little salad at Chez Nick. The lettuce was very fresh, the dressing was delicious, and the bacon and tomatoes were super tasty. The service was really meh - nice when they came by, but very infrequent and almost impossible to wave over. There were several times when we needed more water or drinks and it took a really long time. My friends had some kind of egg sandwiches that they enjoyed, though.

It was like being back in Paris. Sitting at a sidewalk cafe, watching the people and traffic go by. There is an extensive wine list which the waiter was able to suggest what would be best for the meal. It looks like they have a seasonal menu which changes. I had a grilled asparagus starter followed by a spring vegetable fresh pasta entree. Both were full of flavor! I will return next time I am in town.

Ambiance (5/5): There is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. The inside was a little dark, spaced out, and low volume. There is also high bar top seating. Dog friendly (both indoors and out!) Service (5/5): We were serviced quickly and often. All our orders were prepared as instructed. We shared an entrée and our server asked to have the burger cut in half for us! Brussel Sprouts (5/5): Lovely crisp to a sweet bite of vinaigrette. The pomegranate seeds gave the dish a nice color! Crab Rangoon Dumplings (4/5): The dumplings were on the small side but stuffed with crab meat. The sweet sauce complimented the rich cream cheese taste. My only qualm was that it wasn't as good without the sauce. Roasted Eggplant (5/5): I was a fan of the brown butter sauce. The especially liked the small spice kick of the red peppers and bites of mint! Smash Burger (5/5): Huge fan of their burger!! I loved the flavor of their caramelized onions. I need to know what their special sauce is! Their bun was soft and held the burger well. The fries were cooked well-done upon request and were a lovely crunch. Absolutely loved my dining experience and would come back again for their other dishes

Made a reservation and came ~7pm on Sunday. Ambiance was relatively calm and there were a few tables open. Service was friendly and efficient. Squash and burrata: We started off with our favorite dish of the night. The ingredients were super fresh. The pesto on top provided an extra burst of flavors. Highly recommend. Butternut ravioli pasta: Al dente pasta with flavorful sauce that is mildly sweet, sour, and savory. Very delicious but there were only 4 raviolis . . . I (a female adult) was still hungry after eating it. Big burger: meat cooked perfectly as requested. Fortunately my partner was willing to share his food, so I ate ~1/2 of his fries and was no longer hungry. Delicious but not worth it for me so I will not get it in the future but my partner likes it and may get it again. Lava cake: cake was good but the vanilla ice cream is even better. Not sure I would get it again next time.

Everything here is well thought out and you can really tell it matters. This is our go to spot for a burger when we aren't in a rush and want to sit down and enjoy. Everything we have had though has been awesome! The Caesar salad is sooo good and always fresh and crispy! Chez Nick does an awesome thing of being elegant yet feeling like a neighborhood spot which I love! The servers are always so friendly and we will continue to keep coming back!

Kick ass kale salad, which is usually an oxymoron.

First sandwich was also on the drier end (aside from the mixup) but the replacement they gave us was well made. Drinks were well made, sangria was balanced, not too sweet but not too strong. What a cool concept, a Michelin quality tasting menu at a secret location!…read more I recently discovered this group via Instagram, their menu is always rotating but the price was really good for NYC - 6 courses for $130 (which includes, tax, tip, and wine pairings)! Since the concept was so interesting and the pricing was really good, I decided to give it a try and booked a reservation for 2 people for a Saturday night dinner. Following my booking, I was emailed instructions for location a few hours later as well as what to expect. The dining location for my dinner was in a rectory house, which still serves priests! It was a bit of a trek to find but it's a fun part of the experience :) The food: each of the six courses were served in timely cadence and I really appreciated that the chef offered such a thorough explanation of each dish both from the ingredients perspective as well as the inspiration behind it. The entire meal was also paired with 4 drinks, one cocktail and 3 wines, which was included in the total price of the tasting menu already. My favorites: -dragonfruit granite: this was a refresher between the "apps" and the "main courses" dishes, the colors were so vibrant and the flavors were nice and cool, great way to cleanse the palate before the heavy meat dish -hamachi crudo: this actually reminded me of ceviche, which is one of my favorite things to eat. The sauce was particularly yummy, it had just the right mix of creaminess that was complemented by the zesty-ness of the lime Overall, really enjoyed this unique dining experience. The food was yummy, the chefs were super fun and the price was a great value! Would definitely recommend dining with Chez Nous :) p.s. It's a beautifully designed space, and we went in the evening so it was dimly lit and had good tunes, contributing to an intimate and cool vibe. The service throughout was good both by our primary server and the rest of the team that was bringing out dishes. For the food, we did not feel that it was a strong start, but the ending was great! The first dish to come out was their cornbread, which we agreed was very light and had a super tender texture, but there was just nothing special about the taste profile to us. The second dish were their prawns. We couldn't put our finger on the off-putting flavor in there, but we agreed that something just wasn't right and almost tasted spoiled. You also had to work a bit to dissect the prawns and remove the heads and skin. To work for it and then not enjoy the taste wasn't a great combo for us, unfortunately. It started turning around with their sweet potatoes, a type I'd never had before that were "baby" and purple on the outside while white inside. They served the potatoes with a gorgeously whipped Greek yogurt that added the exact right amount of tang to balance the sweet potato and the herby topping. The stars of the night were the coconut basmati rice and the lamb shank. My goodness! The rice dish was so complex from a flavor and texture profile and just hit all the right notes for us, and that lamb! Definitely one of the best lamb dishes I've had - Impossibly tender and seasoned to perfection. One other note I'll make regarding drinks is that they did not have a strong wine list. I ended up ordering a red, but later heard our waiter recommend against getting their wine to another table and suggesting their cocktails and mocktails instead. Just something to keep in mind if you're a wine lover!

The place is LOUD albeit with good taste of retro, 90's music and not the modern trash that floods the radio waves so I can rock with that. Coming into the place I was greeted by a blonde woman who seemed to be a supervisor of the area. She directed me to a comfortable seating area and a server took my order afterwards. The place was relatively busy so the wait for my food was kind of in the long range, about maybe 15 minutes. I ordered Chicken & Waffles with Iced Tea and the food was definitely worth the wait. That chicken was so good, a bit on the crisp side but it's solid in taste. The Waffle had such an awesome texture with the right measure of powdered sugar, decorated with Blueberries and Strawberries, the entrée was plated very well. The Iced Tea, I didn't know it was unsweetened so that threw me off but some sugar kinda fixed that. Service was also 'A' Tier. The place was busy so it was a tad on the slow side but they were very attentive. About 3 different servers tended to me whether it was about my order, how I liked it and paying for the bill when I was finished. That's dedication and I always give props to that.
