A fairly priced seafood market in a random plaza on the border of Bay Shore and Brentwood. I've passed by it multiple times and finally got the chance to give it a shot. I ordered online, they have a really convenient online ordering system which gave me no issue. I got their order of fried clam strips and a small platter of fried flounder, fried shrimp, and white rice. The clam strips were tasty but I have to knock them for not prepping them fresh as a fish market. I quite literally saw the box they were delivered in sitting in the counter. They weren't bad but definitely not great. The fried shrimps were just okay. The breading and meat were a bit chewy and firm, not very crisp. For the rice I was partially expecting a spanish type of white rice but it was plain steamed rice. This did work well though because my other items were a bit salty anyway. The real star of the show was the fish. This was definitely prepped in house and it was so good. A crisp, generously seasoned outer crust with the flaky meat intact and moist. I found their cayenne pepper sauce perfect for the fried seafood, very thin and vinegar forward to cut through the grease a bit. Their tartar was okay, it was one of the sweeter types which I'm not a fan of. I would try it again and get their fried fish . Everything else I'd mix up though. read more

Here we go.. This is another hidden gem in a small shopping center on Fifth Avenie next to Old Entemams Warehouse. Married couple owns this restaurant/seafood store. I always order almost the same exact special . Why? Because it's soooooo good. Whole tilapia with veggies sometimes with plantains. Also I order the jumbo fried coconut shrimp. Hubby orders the catfish which is huge or order the Whiting special. Prices are reasonable . For both of our meals it average out to about 30 dollars which is less than going to a fast food chain. As far as their fresh fish I have never ordered fresh fish bit I'm sure it's all good. read more

I have finally found my go to fish market here on island at a fare price! The "Porgies" were a nice size and clean smell which is very important when purchasing fresh fish. The owners were very nice and polite as well! I will be returning to purchase my Red Snapper which also looked amazing to the eye. read more

Came here starving and figured the food would be the same as other fish spots but the food definitely is not that great. I ordered the #31, fried shrimp, calamari, tostones and whiting. It was hella greasy and the shrimp and tostones were the only edible items. If I wasn't starving and on a time constraint, I would have gone right back and asked for a refund. Great food & always fresh. I only rate it this way because they do not offer delivery for their cooked foods. They need to start doing this with the food delivery services available. They are losing an awful lot of customers since people would pay to have their cooked foods delivered, rather then schlepping out to pick it up. The area they are in has a horrible parking lot and a heck of alot of traffic not only up & down but trying to get into it stinks. Add delivery services & see how many customers you get to use you!!! read more

Hidden gem, they not only sell fresh seafood but they also have cooked entrees and appetizers. Food is always fresh and made to order, call ahead to order to save time. This is the only place I go to now for fresh seafood. read more

Chi's fish market first and foremost is very reasonable with the pricing of its menu. The menu i feel has somewhat of a curve towards the hispanic culture but that all attests to the area this business inhabits. I go to chi's at minimum once a week and the food has always been hot and Delicious. My personal favorite is the fried shrimp they do very well with a great balance of seasoning with the breader but they also have many other great items such as the clam strips,the grilled salmon, and even the fish sandwich's are very good. Their coconut shrimp is to die for but all their cooked items are pretty good. I have also purchased raw items from them to cook at home and they have all been fresh! Salmon is recommended. read more

I didn't know that this store existed until I passed it by accident. The store was new, but since the has revamped its menu. The store sells fried seafood such as fish and chips at really low prices. Their grilled salmon tastes especially good. I'm hooked! read more

I have visited this location a few times, because of the late hours. I usually get raw clams but they are not fresh. The fish looks old and the fried menu they offer is alright but I have had better. If you are looking for some quick fried fish late at night its a pretty good deal, not always fresh but i guess its passable. read more
