The first time I came, I got the red bean over ice and it was good. I came here another time and got red bean blended, which was ok. It was too icy, but I figured maybe that's how it was. I decided to come back for the over ice today because it was that good the first time. Unfortunately, my drink was watered down and had no red bean taste. It was like drinking water. Even my boyfriend said it was super bad. Won't be coming here with the inconsistencies of quality. It could be that they were super busy, but I just wasted my money and had to toss it out. I saw a beautiful, elegant, red LOTA as I felt my bowels rumbling as I tumbled to the toilet. I've be. Here so many times, and this restaurant is so good. Last week, me and my whole family went their on a Saturday night. Their drinks are really good and their classic chicken sandwich is really good. The service is rapid and the workers are nice. Even though it's in a really small place, a well deserved 5. I ordered a Tiger Milk Tea and a Taro slushie on a Friday night through the website. It was convenient and drinks were ready right away. I really want to love this place because I LoVe boba teas and milk tea ... and it's in Lombard! Worth the hype! The big bird is delicious and has a great kick. It is definitely spicy though, so I recommend getting it mild if you don't want the spice. I always get their mango bubble tea, and it is fantastic every time. Their cheeseburgers aren't advertised as much, but their burgers are really good and taste fresh/aren't the frozen premade patties. I was driving by here and saw the line so I figured this place must be good. The Big Bird sandwich was amazing. It was a huge sandwich and was very tender and flavorful. The sauce was a good addition. The burger was fresh smash burger with your choice of toppings. They have a full menu of flavor for they bubble tea and choice of tapioca or popping pearls. We searched for a bubble tea place for a nice weekend afternoon and saw the raving reviews on Yelp for Chi Tea. I read some reviews that the line was quite long and it was worth it, but didn't really think after a few weeks, the lines would continue to be that long. We decided to stop by and try it. When we arrived, it was 3.00pm, which we realized was the opening time for the day when we got there. The line was ALREADY wrapped around to the Panda Express. We started standing in line and it was extremely slow moving. We stood in line for approximately 30 minutes before it moved at all. When we got closer to the front, we could see inside, which had a small sit down area, one person behind the counter, one person grabbing the order and texting out that it was ready, and another person manning the door. There were times that these people were just standing around and NOBODY was inside the restaurant placing an order. They would just wait and it was extremely frustrating, because there was no communication about why they were waiting or anybody else walking around getting orders from people outside, etc. We noticed other people getting frustrated too, but kept standing in line because we were close to the front and had been waiting for so long already (at this point, it was already an hour). Once we ordered, we exited the restaurant and waited outside again. Our drinks were ready within 10 minutes and we got a text that we could pick them up inside. We had ordered the mango bubble tea, mocha bubble tea, strawberry bubble tea and lychee bubble tea. All of the drinks were pretty good, with the lychee and strawberry being the best. The mango had really rich flavor, which was good, and mocha was tasty too. We didn't order burgers, since we are vegetarians, but overheard people in line talking about how good they were in general. We saw quite a few people ordering several items after waiting in line, which likely took longer for orders to get ready. Overall, I wouldn't say that our drinks were worth waiting 1.5 hours for, and would say that the restaurant needs to improve management to make the line move faster. Given the hit their restaurant had been, I would have hoped that they would have made some adjustments to account for the long wait times, but doesn't look like it unfortunately. I would return for the drinks and flavor, but if the line is still wrapped around the building, I'll probably leave. Give it some time and hopefully, their process will be more streamlined. read more

My weekly joint. I highly recommend just sitting in your car and eating the burger the minute you get it. The quality won't be the best once your home. We waited in line for 40 minutes driving from the Northshore area. We were throughly disappointed and saddened by the Big Bird. It comes with coleslaw, pickles and chi tea sauce. Maybe they were overwhelmed by the crowd but the chicken was overdone resulting in being tough not a bit juicy. It felt like I was wrestling with it in my mouth during the couple of bites I took of the sandwich. The seasoning of the flour based deep fried base was not existent and simply hot. However, the Chi Tea Classic burger was the saving grace for this place. It was really good fresh burger with cheese, grilled onions and jalapeños with chi tea sauce. O M G - this place is off the hook! So so good. I love the bubble teas. I got a taro coconut blended tea with lychee jelly and mango coconut jelly without any added sugar. This is my third time ordering it this way and my 4th or 5th visit here. I've tried the teas, the Big Bird and the burger. All awesome and amazing. The prices are decent and the portions are wow!!! The only thing I would say using constructive criticism is that the fries could be seasoned better. They were kind of like an afterthought in comparison with the other items on the menu. This place did not disappoint. We waited about 2.5 hours in line but it was worth the wait. The big bird chicken sandwich was delicious. I wouldn't call it authentic Nashville style hot chicken but it was flavorful, juicy, and seasoned well. The seasoned fries were a bit soggy and too salty for my liking but overall decent. I tried the Thai coconut bubble tea which was absolutely delicious and not too sweet. The staff was kind and customer service was incredible. Walked in with the family and first thing I notice is the dirty floors and tables. There wasn't even that many tables inside to begin with. The host greeted us and was polite but not proactive. He mentioned we could order through him or the kiosk. Kiosk ordering was easy but slightly confusing. The tv played a cheese burger with bacon but there wasn't a bacon option to add to burger. After I paid for my food the kiosk asked for a tip lol. I had to get up and wipe down my own table from the people before us, pick up my food from the counter and clean up after myself and you want a tip? Food was actually pretty good, had the chicken sandwich and it was big and juicy. The hamburger meat was way too small for the buns they used. The loaded fries were good but a little saltier than what I would like. The kids ordered boba tea and the amount of ice inside their drinks was disappointing. The owners could really improve the customers experience by changing a few things. First, mop the floor and have an employee wipe the tables after people eat. Add more seating. Remove the storage stuff you have by the bathrooms. Have the person taking my order put more effort in customer service, he looked depressed and miserable. Maybe give him a raise. Have the food I ordered brought to my table or remove the tip option. Play some music. No one wants to listen to the couple next to them arguing over in-laws and other nonsense. Mark the food!!!! A two letter abbreviation is not enough. Less ice in drinks and drinks should be bigger at that cost. China town has bigger and cheaper boba drinks and it's in Chicago. I would like to give this place a second chance. I want to support Muslim establishments but personally I cannot get over the lack of cleanliness.
