The last of the FREE Egg Rolls!
    Jonathan P.

Everybody else (7) had a Chicken lunch dish: either Kung Pos, General Tsos, Sweet/Sour, or Egg Foo Yung. Not me. I had two Egg Rolls. To my surprise, there was meat in them (looked like pork cubes.) Cooked perfectly although they were little weak on the 5-spice. But, I loved the meat! Gobble The 2 quickly. The rest of the party enjoyed their 100% White Meat Chicken. We will be back soon so I can try a beef dish with 100% USDA Flank Steak!

This WAS our favorite but they took away the dinner specials! Now everything is separate. Not paying 20.00/person for carry out Chinese.

Lately the food has been hit or miss. It's either too greasy or too salty. Plus the prices have increased. Maybe they have a new chef.

We were trying to find a place to eat dinner nearby and noticed them which were practically next door. We ordered Shrimp Fried Rice and Ribeye Steak with Mushrooms for carry out. The prepared the order quickly and within a few minutes, the order was ready. Upon picking up the order, we noticed how nice the establishment was inside. The Shrimp in the dish was jumbo shrimp which was a nice surprise. Both dishes were only okay due to lack of flavor. They were skimpy in the number of soy and sweet & sour sauce (2 of each). They were nice enough to give us 2 fortune cookies (one cheated me out of a fortune, LOL). NOTE: They have a Chicago location in Chinatown as well.

For starters, hot tea and sticky rice. My favorites were the shrimp dumplings and crispy shrimp rolls, but I also love a good greens in oyster sauce dish. Ordering is easy from a tablet or off the menu but unfortunately a couple things we wanted to order from the menu were no longer available. The steam baskets were removed from our table pretty quickly after they were emptied. Plenty of parking here and the restaurant wasn't too crowded yet, early on a Monday. I appreciated the sturdy chopsticks for use as well as a fork as needed, but a knife would be helpful too, for the crispy greens. I would like to return for dinner sometime and try more dim sum choices. This is a great place to go for a meeting, date night, or with a group.

Our large group was accommodated easily, and we were served relatively quickly after an initial delay while we were waiting for someone to come by. Food came soon after that. We ordered a wide range of things: honey shrimp, beef tripe, pork intestine, Hong Kong style fried noodles. Everything here is solid and delicious. Portions are reasonable too. Ambience is nice, clean, and modern. Only issue while we were here is that some in our group tried to order their baked chicken over spaghetti and they were out of spaghetti. Interesting basic ingredient to be short on here, but rice was not a bad substitute. Would definitely come back here if ever back in Chicago!

Don't wait until customers are leaving to explain it. We had already tipped, but our waiter actually ran outside to tell us it wasn't enough because it HAD TO BE AT LEAST 18% GRATUITY. Forcing an 18% gratuity after providing terrible service and mid food is unacceptable. Be transparent about your policies from the start instead of putting customers in an awkward situation after the meal.

We ordered like the PERFECT amount of food and best variety. Roast duck: I honestly don't know if I've ever had duck before, but I'm a duck believer now. The skin on theirs was the perfect crispy shatter texture and the duck was sooooo juicy! I don't know why I was always so worried about it being gamey. They give you fluffy steamed bao buns, a sauce, and scallions on the side as well as duck fried rice! Turnip cake: Obviously a must any time I come to dim sum. I've never seen turnip in any other form than this. Japanese salt & pepper tofu: My FAVORITE dish ever. Any fried salt & pepper tofu always makes me happy. They use a creamy egg-like tofu and the outside is lightly crispy with amazing aromatics stir fried in. Steamed white rice on the side is perfect with this.
