Thankfully I was very wrong and the whole process was virtually painless! From the reception, pre-OP, and even the IV placement, which they used a numbing spray so I didn't even feel a needle stick, to the actual tooth extraction, VIRTUALLY PAINLESS! The entire staff was friendly and professional! If you are ever in the unfortunate position of needing oral surgery, do yourself a favor and come here! I was referred by my dentist, who is also amazing and thankfully so is Lakewood oral!

Dr. Kim and his assistant were amazing...attentive, careful, letting me know what they were doing and what was happening. I had two follow up visits, and I didn't wait long at all at each visit. My insurance was checked and I knew exactly what my portion of the fee would be. Everyone was efficient and friendly. This is my second experience here, the first being wisdom tooth removal for my autistic son, which was perfect. I highly recommend this office for any of your oral surgery needs. I believe you won't be disappointed. I am a rather nervous dental patient, but I felt cared about and treated very well. I'm not the easiest patient because I have a chronic illness and am in my 60s, but everything was smooth and easy. Recovery went well and post-op instructions were clear. I couldn't have asked for a better experience.

I've been a patient at this oral surgery office in the past and received good care on one occasion,…read moreso I returned with a sense of trust. Unfortunately, my recent experience made it very clear that this office does not truly accommodate emergencies--despite advertising that they do. I was facing a legitimate dental emergency, had already been evaluated by three separate dentists, and was told unequivocally that the tooth required extraction. I explained that I now live three hours away and asked for a reasonable accommodation--an early consult with the possibility of treatment later the same day. This is a standard, patient-centered approach in many practices, especially when clinical documentation already exists. They refused outright, insisting on a consult-only visit and requiring me to return on a different day. There was no flexibility, no clinical judgment applied to the situation, and frankly, no consideration for the burden placed on the patient. Let me be very clear: this is not an "emergency" oral surgery office. It is a routine, by-the-book practice that does not deviate from protocol under any circumstance. If your needs are straightforward and you don't require any accommodation, you may have an acceptable experience. But if you are in pain, time-sensitive, or need a provider willing to exercise discretion and compassion--you will not find it here. As a nurse with 38 years of experience, I have spent my career going above and beyond for patients, especially in urgent situations. That level of care should not be the exception--it should be the standard. When a medical office markets itself as providing emergency services but refuses to act accordingly, that's not just disappointing--it's misleading. Choose your provider carefully. When you're in a true emergency, this is not the place you want to rely on.

Dr. Lee and his team made me feel comfortable right from the start. they were incredibly patient and kind with me with everything from explaining my insurance coverage to explaining exactly what care I needed and why (because my past experiences had me nervous and skeptical). Dr. Lee's team not only took care of my regular cleanings, but got me through a necessary root canal I'd been avoiding, and he took out all of my wisdom teeth - truly it speaks to the care and compassion of his team that I was able to overcome my personal hurdles in such a short period of time. they were always very thorough, helpful, and informative.

I first saw him in the early 2000s, and the work he did then is still going strong. The more recent work is also great. I've had a couple of veneers, some root canals and crowns, and regular fillings. The front office and all the staff are personable and professional, and Dr. Lee is very good at his job and explains everything very well. When I've had a lot of work done at once, they checked on me over the following days, making sure everything was healing as it should. I wish I could afford to switch to them for everything!

The office staff was friendly & I didn't wait long in the waiting room. The hygienist was gentle & thorough. She took X-rays, too. Dr Cho's dental assistant was also friendly & professional. He took an impression of one of my broken teeth & explained that the second tooth would be taken care of at a following appointment. I mentioned that the sound of the dental drill set my nerves on end. He suggested some earphones with my preferred music might help. He set that up. Dr. Cho came in to prepare my tooth for a crown. He was gentle, informative, professional, & friendly. I left the office with only slight numbing & a lot of confidence that I was well-taken care of. I will actually look forward to going to the dentist as long as I go to Dr Cho & his staff.

To make sure he was the right doctor I wanted to go to. As I had bad experiences with prior dentists with care and some disregarding pronouns. Hopefully, I don't run into any of these issues here. After back and forth with pricing and patient reviews from different dentist. I found I was able to get a decent price for my Invisalign with my insurance here. From my observation from going here for about a year. His office is clean and his team is professional when they check you in, and sending reminders of appts or rescheduling. Mornings are usually their busiest. Might have to wait depending how busy they are. In my experience for my check up visits, Im usually in and out (Which is nice). My check up appts are between 6-8 weeks. I usually see his techs. They did my attachments and removal. And receive my next set of retainers and some chewies. From the prior set of attachments two of them came out but they said it was fine. One of my attachment removal is still a little sensitive think it might have been grinded down a little too much. I can see some of my teeth are slowly but surely getting straight. I've seen Dr.Cho a handful of times with the consultation, grinding for gapping teeth and two or three of my check ups. Two more appt and hopefully I won't need it anymore sets. I understand their office is busy. But, more checks from the Dr through the invisalign process about progress and concerns would have been more reassuring.
