The manager never came back so someone from our party had to walk up to our server to remind them about it, and about 10 mins later another server ended up refunding us for the two meals. I've lived in Chicago for 15 years and this is The Worst Meal I have ever had. The meat in both the pork tacos and the beef "shawarma" were ground and seemingly boiled. The beef was actually rancid. When we explained this to the waitress, she simply said, "I'm sorry" and cleared the table. Do not be lured here by the riverside location. We came to Chicago in the middle of October which means OKTOBERFEST!! The beers were delicious and the food was delicious. The brewery is right on the water which makes for great views. The manager came over and said that he was going to comp some things because the order was wrong and everything took forever than the server came by and charged us everything including the guac that we didnt order. The only reason for the two stars was because of the manager because he comped everything because of everything we went through. They are overpriced (a pretzel was $15, it was large but come on) and drinks (probably 8oz if I had to guess, 12oz max) were $13+. We paid our bill and our waitress added her own 25% tip to our cards without our knowledge or approval - we were only a group of four. This brewery just opened 3 days ago, what's better than drinking beers on the river? I guess it has a nice selection, hard for me to tell because every beer I wanted they didn't have, interesting. However, I was sold on the 14oz gin & tonic. And since I had to settle for the sun crusher, it turned out to be good. Our waitress was nice, she was interning from Ireland for the summer. The prices were descent, and service is cool. Also, the luxury porter potty was out of service, so we had to use the single stall and use excessive amounts of hand sani, hope they get that up and working real soon. The tables were fairly clean but it was a disappointment to have to sit on a bench that you can find in a public park instead of next to the river. The service was good and the waitress was kind. But, the drinks were overpriced and small. The plates were made of cardboard but weren't too uncomfortable to eat on. The utensils were made of plastic and it was extremely difficult to cut the food with the wobbly plastic knife. The food itself was alright, not delicious though. The place is an overall 2/5. I bought the southwest quinoa wrap for $13 which moderately unreasonable but at least came with chips. My friend, on the other hand, paid the same price for about 5 small crab wontons. On top of that, none of the drinks are free refills (I paid $3.50 for a single glass of iced tea) and they only offer water in bottles -- forcing you to pay for it when they could easily give it for free like any other restaurant. It's a shame, because it has a lot of potential. They could make a big difference just by lowering their prices.
