Don't try to get a key copied here. I spoke to Annette. She had me text her photos to "see if the locksmith could copy my key." Ok, kind of weird. Then she tells me to come in, yes he can copy it. I go to 212 W Randolph... It's a construction zone. I call Annette. Oops the address here is wrong. No apology nothing. So I get in my car and he's to the actual shop all the way north in Logan Square. The owner (apparently) won't copy my key because it says "Duplication Prohibited" and he tells me he could lose his job. Lol right. Well he could see that my key said that in the photo but still told me to come in. Also never heard of anyone taking that seriously. Told him it is my condo and this is the only key I have and all of the keys in my building say this but people all get keys copied no problem. Huge waste of my entire day running all over the city for these clowns then to be profiled (was wearing my workout clothes as I stopped what I was doing when Annette told me to hurry to the office the locksmith would wait one hour for me!) and that owner seemed to think I was some kind of thug trying to do something illegal. Went over to the next locksmith who did this no questions asked. read more

They were able to provide service the same day i called, and my experience with Richard was great! he called ahead to let me know when he would arrive, he was able to quickly identify the problem and explain exactly what was going wrong, and he was able to repair (vs replace) the malfunctioning deadbolt at the main entry. The locksmith that they sent was fast and arrived when he said he would. I needed to have him cut to lock off of a storage unit. The lock was at a weird angle but he worked his magic and it was off in no time. These guys are great and get it done quickly. It starts off with the sinking feeling that you've lost your keys and you have no way to get into your apartment... Came in to get a key cut since I broke my original one by pulling it out of the door on an angle and bending it in two. Tory was incredibly helpful, gave me a warning from the start that he couldn't guarantee the key working since my key wasn't in ideal shape to be copied. He was super personable and friendly and did his best to get me a working key quickly! He didn't charge me for the key since he wasn't sure if it would work which I really appreciated.
