Steve, the installer, recommended a lock, which I ordered and they installed today. My key accidentally broke off in the keyhole...and on the night it was 5 degrees temperature outside. Yikes! I tried to remove it myself for 20 minutes but to no avail. I remember always passing by this neighborhood locksmith store. So I made a search and found them right away. I called the Logan Square store at 2048 N Milwaukee Ave, next day and spoke with Tanya. She was so positive and upbeat! We scheduled a 5 pm appt the next day. On the day of the appt., David, the technician, called 10 minutes prior to arrival. I purchased a new deadbolt lock because the old lock screws were stripped...and frozen, too. David removed the old lock, replaced it with the new one. He ensured that the new lock worked properly. David was very courteous, helpful, and on time, too! I showed some work that needs attention in spring. I will schedule them and request for David. You never know when a locksmith is required, but if so, then call Chicago Locksmiths. They have 3 Chicago-area locations. Great service all-around! read more

Robert quickly became my saving grace, after my Toyota key fell off of my key ring after an already exhausting 27 hours of travel! He responded right away to my call, and found my vehicle in the O'hare parking lot without difficulty. He explained to me the how the programming of a new key may affect my remote start, and he was able to problem solve a way to cut me a key which would not cause problems with the remote start. Now I can get back on the road and complete the final two hours of my trip and go home, without worrying about leaving my car at O'hare to accrue more parking fees.
