I visited Chicago Locksmith today and had a great experience! Francisco is great and was very informative.

I'm quite happy with the work done. The lock on the front gate of my apartment building broke and you couldn't open it from inside or outside. One locksmith said that the entire mechanism would have to be replaced and that it would require welding; another locksmith said that he couldn't help because that type of lock doesn't belong on a gate. A Chicago Locksmiths employee came out locked at the lock, correctly guessed that only the latch mechanism was broken and then replaced it with a spare one he had in his truck--all in under 15 minutes and for a fraction of the price. read more

And is better to pay more for a trustworthy locksmith than a low rate, unlicensed locksmith. They were nice and professional. I got locked out if my car this morning When I lost my key and don't know where. I called Chicago locksmith and they returned my call 5 minutes later with an ETA and costs. I called around 9:00 am the locksmith was at my house within an hour! He went straight to work and was done in less than half an hour. Just moved into our new apartment and needed a couple doors rekeyed. Out of all the places I called, Chicago Locksmiths was the most professional and didn't push me to schedule an appointment right away. Their prices were comparable to everyone else, and they were able to come out the next day. Tory arrived early after calling with me to confirm that it was OK to do so, and he promptly went about rekeying the locks I requested.
